12 AzTU students will study abroad within the framework of the "Erasmus+" program

12 students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) will study abroad within the framework of the "Erasmus+ KA171" exchange program in the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Thus, undergraduate students of the "SABAH" groups Yunus Hashimov and Ayaz Bagirzadeh have earned the right to study for one semester at the Sapienza University of Rome in Italy, undergraduate students of the Faculty of Information and Telecommunications Technologies Ulviyya Mammadova and Sameddin Huseynli at Ankara University and Firat University in Turkiye, respectively, undergraduate student of the same faculty Sahib Bagirzadeh at Cluj-Napoca Technical University in Romania, undergraduate students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics Sabina Asker-zadeh and Elvin Huseynov at Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University and Gazi University in Turkiye, respectively, undergraduate student of the same faculty Mirali Verdiyev at Brandenburg Technical University in Germany, and undergraduate student of the Faculty of Economics and Management Isirafil Shiriyev at Bucharest University of Economics in Romania. Presentation of the "From education to career" project was held

Synergia Academy and Facility Management Group (FMG) companies, together with Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), as well as Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, have introduced a new program that supports the career development of young people. The program aims to support the professional activities of Azerbaijani youth with higher education between the ages of 18 and 30 and provide them with jobs in various business and commercial facilities under the jurisdiction of FMG. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized the relevance of such projects. He spoke about the importance of adapting university programs to the requirements of industry in the career development of students, as well as deepening cooperation with industry. The Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the German company EPC Engineering & Technologies held a meeting to discuss cooperation opportunities in the field of filament technology. Online training on research skills development organized within the framework of the DIRNA project

Online trainings were organized within the framework of the "Development of Research Capacity through Institutional Repositories Network in Azerbaijan" (DIRNA) project of the "Erasmus+ KA2" program, of which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner. The trainings were conducted by Gültekin Gürdal, Head of the Library and Documentation Department of Izmir High Technology Institute the project's partner university. The trainings, organized to develop the research skills of academic staff, covered the topics of "The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Education and Research" and "Implementation Plan for Long-Term Support and Management of the Repository." The trainings were attended by Khayala Hajiyeva, director of the AzTU Library Information Center, Nubar Farhadzade, leading Specialist of the International Projects Sector, and Sevinj Rzayeva, senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics and Statistics. AzTU held an international seminar

An international seminar on "Development of methods and models for increasing the efficiency of the city bus route network" was held within the framework of the "Preparation of an urban mobility plan" project implemented at AzTU. The goal was to increase and expand the pace of training highly qualified personnel at AzTU, and to pay special attention to the process of training highly qualified personnel and doctoral students, along with setting topics for master's dissertations within the project. Also, the seminar discussed solutions based on modern methods to improve mobility in the regions in general, in projects and research carried out at AzTU, and explored the possibilities of applying these solutions. In addition, new approaches to reducing time losses at route areas and stops in the bus route network, selecting buses that meet passenger demand on routes, and assessing the effectiveness of the route network were widely discussed and their importance was noted in a period of increasing traffic density. The results of the seminar were summarized and recommendations were made regarding the expansion of scientific research and the use of the results in the real route network. The event was attended by the rector of Tashkent Perfect University, Professor Daurenbek Ilesaliev Ikhtiyarovich, and professor of the Department of Automotive Engineering of Tashkent State Transport University, Akmal Mukhitdinov Anvarovich, deputy dean of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering of Tashkent State Transport University, Ashurov Ortik Foziljonovich, as well as 4 students of Tashkent Perfect University. AzTU professors participated in a forum dedicated to quantum physics

An event called "Youth Quantum Forum 2025" was held in Baku on quantum physics. The forum was organized by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ASYOU) with the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan ("Azercosmos"). The founding meeting of the AzTU alumni association was held

The founding meeting of the Alumni Association was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) organized by the Career and Employment Center. The inaugural meeting was attended by MPs Zahid Oruj and Anar Mammadov, as well as veteran alumni consultant-professor Rahim Shukurov, as well as faculty members who are alumni of the university and about 300 AzTU graduates working in various enterprises, organizations and institutions.
