Today, the opening of the exhibition of higher education institutions took place at the State Examination Center. The purpose of the exhibition is to familiarize applicants with the existing opportunities of higher education institutions before choosing a specialty and to support them in determining their specialty choice. Welcoming the participants, the head of the State Examination Center, Vafadar Misirov, provided information about the admission campaign to higher education institutions and the most important issue facing applicants who have won the right to participate in the competition - the choice of specialty. Then, an acquaintance of the exhibition was held. It should be noted that Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is also represented at the exhibition with its own stand. Every day at 12:00, a comprehensive presentation about AzTU is shown. At the exhibition, organized in the electronic examination building of the Center from July 30 to August 1, 2025, visitors can directly communicate with AzTU representatives and find answers to the questions of interest to them regarding specialties, educational programs, material and technical base, tuition fees, benefits, scholarship programs and other issues.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) continues its cooperation with PASHA Property Management within the framework of university-industry cooperation. During the meeting at PASHA Property Management within the framework of the cooperation, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev stated that university-industry cooperation is not limited to the issues of internship and employment of students and graduates. The Rector emphasized the importance of including joint scientific research in this cooperation. Tural Aliyev, CEO of PASHA Property Management, expressed gratitude for the initiative to expand university-industry cooperation. He noted that the company he represents attaches importance to implementing joint projects with higher education institutions. During the meeting, issues such as joint scientific research on improving infrastructure and utilities in buildings within the company's areas of activity were discussed.

Third-year students of the Industrial Engineering major at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) are successfully participating in the summer internship program at the Baku Shipyard. During the 1-month internship program, students will learn HSE regulations, the implementation of technological operations applied during the design, manufacture and repair of ships, as well as the working principle, construction and operation of modern industrial facilities available at the enterprise. During the trainings held with the participation of qualified mentors and professional engineers, AzTU students gain real experience by applying their theoretical knowledge in production.

The “International Programming Camp” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist and educator Ramin Mahmudzadeh was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the joint organization of the ICPC Azerbaijan Community, AzTU’s Institute of Information Technologies and Methodological Support in Education, ADA University, and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency. The camp is one of a series of trainings in preparation for the quarter and semi-final stages of the 2025-2026 International Interuniversity Programming Competition (ICPC). 14 teams from 13 higher education institutions of Azerbaijan and 3 teams from 2 higher education institutions of Belarus (each team represented by 3 students and a team leader), a total of 17 teams, participated in the training. During the 6-day training, each day, participants were given tasks to design programs for problems on various algorithmic topics and test them in an automatic evaluation system. At the end of the day, the algorithms for optimal solution of the problems were explained. According to the overall results of the 6 competitions, participants were awarded diplomas and certificates. As part of the “International Programming Camp”, Professor Vladimir Kotov of the Belarusian State University made a presentation on internship and job opportunities at various centers of the “Huawei” company and answered questions of interest to the participants.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held an “Open Door” Day with the participation of Rector Vilayat Valiyev. The “Open Door” Day was attended by the heads of AzTU structural departments, deans, applicants and their parents. First, a comprehensive presentation about AzTU was shown. Then, Rector Vilayat Valiyev answered the questions of the applicants and their parents who participated in the “Open Door” Day. After the meeting, the participants of the “Open Door” Day got acquainted with the Library Information Center, MGP workshop and teaching laboratories of AzTU.

A meeting was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) on the results of the “Staff Index” pilot project implemented by the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population. The meeting was attended by AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev, Chairman of the Board of the State Employment Agency Sadig Aliyev, and relevant representatives from both sides. It was reported that initially 65 second-year students from two faculties of the university participated in the project, and their non-academic activities were evaluated in 7 areas. As the next stage, an action plan will be developed to support the personal development of students involved in the project. It should be noted that the purpose of the “Staff  Index”, which was developed on the experience of more than 10 prestigious international universities, is to measure individual indicators that affect students’ competitiveness in the labor market, assess inter-competence balance, and form a systematic approach to students’ personal development. In the future, the project is planned to be expanded and implemented in other faculties of AzTU.

A seminar on the topic of “Restoration and preservation of technological heritage in Western Azerbaijan” was held by the Western Azerbaijan Technological Heritage Center of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The aim was to evaluate and discuss the relevance of the technological heritage formed in Western Azerbaijan for the modern era from a scientific perspective. First, an exhibition dedicated to the heritage of Western Azerbaijan was viewed in the lobby of AzTU. Speaking at the seminar, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev said that the issue of preserving the heritage of Western Azerbaijan is in the focus of attention of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that the mission of AzTU is to explore the technological capabilities of this heritage and pass on the scientific research conducted in this direction to future generations. The Rector also emphasized the creation of opportunities for creatively-minded young people in preserving this heritage. Then, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the West Azerbaijan Community, MP Aziz Alakbarov made a speech and looked through the history. The MP noted the importance of studying the realities of Western Azerbaijan, communicating them to the world community, fully exposing Armenian lies and frauds, bringing the rights of Azerbaijanis deported from the lands of Western Azerbaijan over the past 200 years to the international level, restoring them, using all possible opportunities to punish the Armenian state and Armenian nationalists in international courts for all these crimes, and at the same time conducting this struggle in parallel in the fields of culture, science, education, and technology. He considered such a series of events important and expressed his gratitude to Rector Vilayat Valiyev for the created conditions and support. Then, a panel discussion of the seminar was held under the moderation of the chairman of the Public Union "For the Social Welfare of Citizens" Irada Rizazade. Western Azerbaijan researcher Jalal Allahverdiyev, honored cultural worker, national culinary researcher Tahir Amiraslanov, members of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan Isgander Sardarli, Togrul Sardarli, and artist Ali Ismayil Aliyev made a wide-ranging presentation on the technological heritage of Western Azerbaijan. During the speeches, proposals were made on preserving the technological heritage of Western Azerbaijan and conducting various studies in this direction. It should be noted that in accordance with the instructions given by President Ilham Aliyev to prepare the Concept of Return to Western Azerbaijan, the Western Azerbaijan Technological Heritage Center was established at AzTU last year.

The employees of the Library Information Center (LIC) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) have gained success in the country.
