The Library and Information Center (TIC) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) took part in the 10th Baku International Book Fair, held at the Baku Expo Center and dedicated to the 530th anniversary of the birth of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker, Muhammad Fuzuli (1494–1556). At the exhibition, AzTU showcased its publications and educational materials authored by its faculty members. At the conclusion of the event, AzTU was awarded a certificate by the organizers for its active participation.

The 7th International Sports Games among students of universities from Caspian littoral countries are currently being held in Astrakhan, Russian Federation. Azerbaijan is represented at the games by athletes from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), led by the Director of AzTU’s Sports Center, Elnur Jamalkhanov. As part of the visit, the delegation paid tribute to the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev by visiting the park in Astrakhan named after him and honoring his monument.

Ümummilli lider Heydər Əliyevin anadan olmasının 101-ci ildönümü münasibətilə ali təhsil müəssisələrinin tələbələri arasında təşkil edilən bədii yaradıcılıq müsabiqə-festivalı qaliblərinin mükafatlandırılma mərasimi keçirilib. Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Maşınqayırma və robototexnika fakültəsinin 561a qrupunun tələbələri Rüqəyya İsalı “Vokal xalq mahnıları” nominasiyası üzrə 3-cu yer, “Xalq çalğı alətləri sənəti” nominasiyası üzrə Batuhan Eroğlu - 1 ci yerin qalibi olublar. Tədbirdə qaliblərə fəxri fərman və qiymətli hədiyyələr təqdim olunub. Qeyd edək ki, Elm və Təhsil Nazirliyi və Azərbaycan Təhsil İşçiləri Azad Həmkarlar İttifaqı Respublika Komitəsinin birgə qərarı ilə ali təhsil müəssisələrinin tələbələri arasında keçirilən ümummilli lider Heydər Əliyevin anadan olmasının 101-ci ildönümünə həsr olunmuş bədii yaradıcılıq müsabiqə-festivalında respublikada fəaliyyət göstərən 26 ali təhsil müəssisəsindən 3000-dən çox tələbə iştirak edib.Birinci mərhələdə ali təhsil müəssisələrində yaradılmış münsiflər heyətinin iştirakı ilə seçimlər aparılıb, ikinci mərhələdə isə seçilmiş ən yaxşı ifaçı və kollektivlər festivalın yekun konsertində iştirak etmək hüququ qazanıblar. 

The "Innovative solutions" project competition jointly organized by the Human Resources Department of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the Trade Union Committee and the Student Trade Union Committee on the occasion of the International Teachers' Day has been concluded. AzTU professors and students participated in the project competition in the form of 10 teams. The participants of the competition presented in front of the jury, offering innovative solutions to the difficulties that arose in various situations in the educational process. The jury evaluated the project ideas submitted to the competition according to 5 criteria (innovative and creative approach, relevance to the topic, application in practice, usefulness, teamwork and presentation). According to the results of the competition, the project "A new approach to the organization of the teaching process at AzTU" jointly presented by Aynura Ismayilova and Kamala Samadova was awarded the first place, and the project "AzTU - 3S" by Mahish Maharramzade, Baloglan Najafov and Nurana Jamalzade was awarded the second place. The winners of the "Innovative solutions" project competition were presented with money award by AzTU.

As part of the final international conference of the “Enhancing Universities’ Capacities in Clusters Development and Participation Through Innovation and Sustainability Principles” project (UniClaD), conducted under the European Union’s ERASMUS+ KA2 program, a meeting was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The meeting convened AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of Poltava State Agrarian University of Ukraine, Oleksandr Galych, and Rector of Comrat State University of Moldova, Sergey Zaharia. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AzTU and the aforementioned universities, establishing a framework for collaboration in the fields of education and research.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Həmkarlar İttifaqı Komitəsində (HİK) 5 Oktyabr - Beynəlxalq Müəllimlər Günü münasibətilə universitetin müharibə iştirakçısı olan müəllimləri ilə görüş keçirilib. AzTU HİK-in sədri Elvin Bəxtiyarlı bildirib ki, universitetin İnformasiya və telekommunikasiya texnologiyaları və Xüsusi texnika və texnologiya fakültələrinin müəllimləri Vətənimizin ərazi bütövlüyünün qorunmasında və müdafiəsində qəhrəmanlıq göstəriblər. Qeyd olunub ki, AzTU müəllimlərinin Vətən uğrunda göstərdikləri igidlik gələcək nəslin vətənpərvər ruhda tərbiyə olunmasında vacib rol oynayır. O da qeyd olunub ki, ATİAHİ RK-nin və AzTU HİK-in müvafiq qərarı ilə AzTU-nun müharibə iştirakçısı olan 7 müəllimi Beynəlxalq Müəllimlər Günü münasibətilə pul mükafatı ilə mükafatlandırılıb.

At Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the final international conference on the project "Increasing the capacity of universities to initiate and participate in the development of clusters with the principles of innovation and sustainability" (UniClaD), which was implemented within the framework of the European Union's "ERASMUS+ KA2" program, began its work. The conference is held with the participation of more than 20 higher education and industrial institutions representing Italy, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Austria, Moldova, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, which includes the project consortium. Within the framework of the conference, presentations will be presented in terms of the development and activity of clusters in the agricultural sector, as well as the study of European experience. About 60 representatives representing 20 international partner enterprises of the project are participating in the conference. Rector of AzTU, Vilayat Valiyev gave an opening speech at the event and noted the role of the projects implemented within the framework of the European Union "ERASMUS+ KA2" program in increasing the teaching and research potential of higher education institutions and strengthening cooperation between them. Mujdat Hasanov, the head of the international cooperation department of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education, Parviz Baghirov, the director of the Erasmus National Office, Anar Jafarov, the director of the Agrarian Innovation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as Viorel, the rector of Moldova Technical University, the partner universities in the project, spoke later. Rector of Bostan, Poltava State Agrarian University Oleksandr Halich and Rector of Comrat State University Sergey Zaharia to the development of higher education institutions of "Erasmus" projects. He said that he made a comprehensive contribution. The conference continued with presentations on the results of the activities of higher education institutions and organizations that are partners of the project.

The final international seminar and conference on the project "Increasing the capacity of universities to initiate and participate in the development of clusters with the principles of innovation and sustainability" (UniClaD), implemented within the framework of the "Erasmus+ KA2" program of the European Union, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, has started. The mentioned events are held with the participation of more than 20 higher education and industrial institutions representing Italy, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Austria, Moldova, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, which comprise the project consortium. The event was organized by AzTU on 30.09.2024 - 04.10.2024.  During the seminar activities, potential development, development of clusters and possibilities of resource centers in the direction of "IT technologies in agriculture", "Agro-Tourism", "Production and processing of dairy products", "Agrobiotechnologies" will be discussed. Also during the seminar, the best practice on thematic topics will be shared with the presentation of partners from the European Union. Within the framework of the project, quality assessment and discussions for the sustainability of the project are also envisaged.

The next information session about scholarship programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) was held for students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). In the information session, DAAD's German language teacher working at AzTU, Claudio Kasperl, gave detailed information to the students about studying in Germany, DAAD's activity and scholarship programs, application conditions, set of required documents and selection criteria. Summer schools organized by DAAD for undergraduate students and application rules are explained in detail. At the end of the event, the participants' questions were answered. In addition, Claudio Kasperl organized an information session about DAAD scholarship programs for researchers and doctoral studies. In the session, detailed information was given about requirements and application rules, and additional consultation hours were set for those interested.

In Tashkent, Uzbekistan the event "Sustainable lifestyles festival 2024: learning to live better and lighter on campus and beyond" organized by DKU with the support of UN Environment Program (UNEP) was held. At the event, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was represented by Ph.D Natavan Namazova,the head of the Institute of Sustainable Development. The goal of the festival is to raise awareness of innovative strategies for implementing sustainable lifestyles in universities in Central Asia and the Caucasus through global and interregional exchange of best practices. Within the framework of the festival, legacies leading to a greener and more responsible lifestyle from the past to the present were widely discussed.
