Within the framework of the cooperation of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the Namangan State Technical University (NDTU) of Uzbekistan, NDTU Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs Professor Payzillokhon Garayev and Head of the Accounting Department Associate Professor Ulugbek Tursunov visited AzTU as part of an exchange program. AzTU Vice-Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov informed the guests about AzTU's activities. The XXIX internal tournament "Great Return" was held with the support of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the organization of the university's Debate Club. About 40 teams and students from various universities participated in the tournament, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of AzTU and the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty". AzTU's "Etalon" (Aytac Abdullayeva, Zahid Islamli) and "Debattal Gazi" (Yusif Ismayilov, Islam Allahverdiyev) teams qualified for the final stage of the tournament, which took place in an exciting competition. Within the framework of the cooperation between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology (PKTU) of the People's Republic of China, a group of doctoral students from PKTU visited AzTU as part of an exchange program. Vice-Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov informed the Chinese students about the activities of AzTU. Then, the doctoral students made presentations about their research and discussions were held around the research topics. During the visit, the students got acquainted with the educational and research infrastructure of AzTU. PKTU representatives and doctoral students exchanged views on the possibilities of continuing their research with AzTU in the future.

An event was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) on the occasion of the Republic of Turkey. Speaking at the event, Vice-Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov briefly reviewed the history of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey and spoke about the importance of this day. He emphasized that the friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey have deep roots. The opening ceremony of the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference “Development and Innovations: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” was held at Nakhchivan State University. First, the dear memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who gave their lives for the independence and sovereignty of our Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played. The conference was held in a hybrid format with the joint organization of Nakhchivan State University (NDU), Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Mingachevir State University (MSU), Tashkent State Technical University of Uzbekistan, Asia Pacific University of Malaysia, and the National University of Science and Technology of Pakistan (NUST), with the participation of a number of foreign and republican universities. The main objectives of the two-day conference are to present the latest research and technological innovations in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, and to demonstrate real-world application examples in various fields. The conference also aims to explore key issues such as data quality, model explainability, and scalability, and to promote cooperation between academia, industry, and government to support development in the era of artificial intelligence. Delivering his opening speech, NSU Rector Elbrus Isayev called the conference an important international forum that brings together researchers, field experts, and scientists in the field of artificial intelligence, which is relevant and needs to be discussed. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized that the conference, which included about 200 articles from 13 countries, is dedicated to a topic of global importance. At the initial stage, 135 articles were selected, and these articles will be published on various international scientific platforms after evaluation. Vilayat Valiyev said that the conference has participants from a wide geography and the successful organization of the event requires great responsibility and professionalism. In this sense, the hosting of such an important event by Nakhchivan State University is commendable. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are not only improving automation and decision-making processes, but also changing the way people interact with data, systems, and each other. The rector said that the conference, which brings together important academic assessments, is a very important platform that allows new initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence to emerge. Nedim Sozbir, rector of Duzce University, expressed his satisfaction with participating in the conference and expressed his confidence that important ideas will be shared here, discussing problems, and promoting important innovations. Anar Eminov, rector of MSU, emphasized in his speech that Nakhchivan State University is one of the exemplary higher education institutions in the country in raising awareness about artificial intelligence, and said that the conference is a very important event in terms of sharing the knowledge and experience of researchers and laying the foundation for new research directions. He said that the presented articles will be a fundamental source in terms of conducting research, training personnel, and supporting the formation of the artificial intelligence ecosystem. Later, NUST Vice-Rector Osman Hasan delivered speeches on “Effective Repetition-Based Methodology for Neuromorphic Continuous Learning through Artificial Intelligence Systems”, Kata Varadi, Director of the Institute of Finance of Corvinus University of Budapest, delivered speeches on “Using Artificial Intelligence in Valuing Complex Swap Options”, and Boiprav Olga, Head of the Department of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, delivered speeches on “A Modern Approach Based on Physics-Based Neural Networks to Predict the Effectiveness of Microwave Shielding of Materials”. The presentations drew attention to the calls for long-term partnerships and inspiring innovative ideas that will contribute to building a smarter, more efficient and more inclusive digital future. Then, the guests got acquainted with the activities of the Innovation Center at NSU. The conference continues with plenary sessions.

Within the framework of the working visit of the delegation of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) to Israel, an agreement was signed between AzTU and Bar-Ilan University of Israel on a dual diploma program in electrical and electronics engineering at the master's level. The signing ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the State of Israel Mukhtar Mammadov. Students who will be accepted into the dual diploma program will study for one year at AzTU and one year at Bar-Ilan University. It should be noted that the delegation included Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Rahid Alakbarli, Director of the Institute of Defense Technologies and Cybersecurity, and Elshan Gurbanov, Head of the Project Management Sector of the International Relations Department.

A delegation from Pakistan’s National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) visited the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The delegation was composed of Prof. Dr. Hasan Osman, Pro-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Junaid Khan, Director of Research. The delegation paid an official visit to the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) for one week. On the first day of the visit, the meeting was attended by AzTU Rector Prof. Dr. Vilayat Valiyev, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Prof. Dr. Subhan Namazov, Vice-Rector for International Relations Dr. Fariz Mammadov, and Director of the Research and Development Department Bakhtiyar Badalov. During the discussions, the parties explored opportunities to expand cooperation between Azerbaijani and Pakistani universities in the fields of science, education, and innovation. They also discussed the implementation of joint scientific research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, as well as the establishment of joint doctoral programs. The midterm exams for the fall semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) are continuing successfully. It is planned to hold midterm exams twice a year. This approach not only stimulates students' continuous learning throughout the semester, but also serves to further increase the objectivity and transparency of the assessment. It should be noted that the exams at the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology, which is the only faculty in the region that trains qualified engineers in the field of defense industry, are held on the basis of a modern assessment mechanism, and the progress of the process is monitored by the faculty management and representatives.

The presentation of the book "After the Struggle" dedicated to National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). At the presentation held on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, the head of the Department of Humanities Habib Mirzayev said that the book "After the Struggle" written by the member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, poet, writer, publicist Mushfig Malik Muganli consists of two parts and four chapters. The first part contains valuable advice given to children, teenagers and young people by Agakerim Ibrahimov, the father of National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov, and the opinions of prominent personalities about Mubariz, while the second part contains the author's artistic and journalistic thoughts on the life of Mubariz Ibrahimov and his heroism, including his poem "My Holy Fighter". The staff of the Department of Humanities - Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Afag Zeynalova, teacher Rena Najafova, and Fatih Emir Torum on behalf of the students spoke about the importance of the book. It was especially emphasized that the love of the homeland of the Azerbaijani heroes and the high heroic qualities that arose in response to these sacred feelings will always be remembered as a glorious page in history. The author of the book, Mushfig Malik Muganli, made a speech and explained the important points regarding the creation of the publication, and recalled the valuable recommendations given by Mubariz's father Agakarim Ibrahimov in this direction. He noted that he would mobilize all his resources in the direction of promoting and promoting the book in order to fulfill the promise made to the father of the National Hero. At the end of the event, the author donated his books "After Mubariz" and "Thoughts of Agakarim Ibrahimov", which reflect the thoughts of Mubariz Ibrahimov's father, to the university.
