The first stage of the HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental Protection) training program implemented within the framework of the joint cooperation of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with “TCS” LLC has been successfully completed. At this stage, 7 selected AzTU teachers have obtained the internationally recognized and prestigious "Train the Trainer", "IOSH Managing Safely 5.0" and "Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST)" certificates in the field of industrial safety. Within the framework of the training program, an intensive training and assessment process was carried out for AzTU teachers on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This cooperation serves to expand AzTU's cooperation with industry and to raise the professional skills of both the teaching staff and students to an international level.

A meeting was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with newly admitted foreign students for the 2025/2026 academic year. The purpose of the event was to familiarize foreign students with the university's academic environment, socio-cultural life, rules and procedures, as well as to support their easier adaptation to the educational process. Vice-Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov, Head of the Communication Department Safa Bagirov, and Head of the Foreign Student Admission Sector Sevinj Absalamlı spoke at the event. Vice-Rector Fariz Mammadov spoke in his speech about the expansion of the university's international relations, the increasing interest of students from different countries in AzTU, and its contribution to the reputation of the educational institution. He noted the importance of constantly closely involving every foreign student studying at AzTU in the university's teaching, research, and social activities. Head of the Communication Department Safa Bagirov spoke about the conditions created for students to participate in active social life at the university. He provided information about various student clubs and social projects operating at AzTU. He noted that joining these clubs will make a significant contribution to both the social adaptation and personal development of students. Head of the Foreign Students Admission Sector Sevinj Absalamlı provided detailed information on the admission and teaching process, documentation, organization of classes, placement of students and daily rules. He highlighted the support mechanisms that students can apply to if they encounter any difficulties. During the meeting, students, in turn, shared their views and asked questions about education and living. Their impressions were listened to and their suggestions were recorded.

A meeting was held with the first-year students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications Leyla Mammadova provided information about the activities of the faculty, specialties and programs, skills and career opportunities (cooperation with IT Academies, Code Academy), as well as planned hackathons, startup competitions, projects and exchange programs. She emphasized that the main goal of the faculty is not limited to sharing scientific knowledge, but also to form responsible and patriotic citizens. Academic advisor Safa Asadova provided students with information about the credit system applied in the higher education system and other important information. Deputy Dean for International Relations Aytan Movsumova, Deputy Dean for Social Issues, Public Relations and Infrastructure Ulviyya Karimova brought relevant information to the attention of students. Director of the Library Information Center Khayala Hajiyeva informed students about the opportunities created in the center. Safa Bagirov, Head of the Communication Department, shared his opinions on the effective organization of students' social activities. He invited students with special talents to join the clubs they will create.

An information session about the Student Youth Organization (SYO) was held for the first-year students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Ruslan Ganbarov, Chairman of the SYO, made a presentation and provided detailed information about the organization's goals, principles, student clubs, team members, as well as public, social, cultural events, competitions, projects and camps held during the current year. He advised new students to be active in the university's social life. Emil Jafarov, one of the active members of the SYO, spoke about the CreART program established under the SYO and the action plans envisaged in the field of culture within the framework of the program. During the meeting, social videos from various events and camps were shown. Finally, the SYO members answered the students' questions.

Subhan Namazov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and Bakhtiyar Badalov, Director of the Research and Development Department, paid a working visit to the University of Lahore, University of Engineering and Technology, University of Management and Technology, and Central Punjab University in Lahore, Pakistan. Within the framework of the visit, prospective opportunities and directions of cooperation with the world-leading universities of the brotherly Republic of Pakistan were widely discussed. During the meeting with Professor Shahid Munir, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology, one of the largest engineering universities in Pakistan, and the university delegation, it was stated that cooperation with AzTU is a priority for the university. It was noted that they are interested in expanding cooperation with AzTU by signing a memorandum of understanding. During the meeting with Professor Muhammad Ashraf, Rector of the University of Lahore, it was emphasized that they are ready to cooperate with AzTU in the field of research, joint projects, and joint publication of scientific articles. During the visit to the University of Management and Technology, during the meeting between Vice-Rector Subhan Namazov and Vice-Rector of the University of Management and Technology Asgar Zaidi, it was stated that AzTU students are interested in participating in scholarship programs, organizing joint scientific conferences indexed in international scientific databases, mutual exchange of researchers, and mutual support in international ratings. During the visit to the Central Punjab University, Vice-Rector Hammed Naved and the delegation highly appreciated the university's cooperation opportunities in the field of Engineering and expressed their readiness for cooperation in all directions. During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the existing material and technical, laboratory bases of the universities in different fields and discussed the possibilities of mutual cooperation. After the discussions, it was agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding with the universities and wide cooperation.

A training on the topic of “Corporate Governance” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The training, attended by the chairmen of the faculties of the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) and the Student Youth Organization (SYO) of AzTU and other active members, was organized to increase the level of awareness and enlightenment of students on the capital market. The trainer - AzTU senior lecturer Parvin Hajiyeva educated the students on the essence and goals of corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, ethical code and rules of business conduct, conflict of interest and its management, and other areas. Then the participants were divided into teams and held discussions around the topic.

A series of meetings are being organized with the heads of faculties and departments in preparation for the international accreditation program of 20 programs to be held by the German quality assurance agency AQAS at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). In the meetings organized and coordinated by the Quality Assurance Department, the participants were provided with detailed information about the essence, goals and stages of the accreditation program. It was noted that the program serves to strengthen AzTU's position in the international arena by ensuring compliance of the educational process at the university with international standards. During the discussions, it was noted that the field visit to be held within the framework of the program is of particular importance. At this stage, documents will be reviewed, interviews will be conducted and on-site inspections will be organized based on the ESG-2015 criteria. At the same time, the participation of educators and students in the process, taking into account their opinions and suggestions, was also emphasized as one of the important factors. The meetings also provided a detailed explanation of the list of documents to be submitted by faculties and departments, reporting materials and other necessary information. The importance of timely and correct preparation of documents, as well as ensuring transparency of the process, was brought to the attention. Since joining the international accreditation program will create conditions for improving the quality of education at AzTU, improving management processes and expanding international cooperation opportunities, it is in everyone's interest to organize and monitor this process as a team. For this purpose, it is planned to hold such meetings.

An information session was held for students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) about scholarship opportunities in Germany, including scholarship programs of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). At the event, Vice-Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov spoke about the opportunities created by scholarship programs in AzTU specialties. At the information session, German language teacher Claudio Kasperl working at AzTU provided students with detailed information about education in Germany, DAAD scholarship programs, application conditions, required documents and selection criteria. The event also explained in detail the summer schools organized for bachelor students in Germany and the application rules. At the session, Aysel Badalova, an employee of the International Relations Department, also provided detailed information about existing exchange programs and application conditions at AzTU. At the end of the event, the participants' questions were answered.

A meeting was held with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics, Allahverdi Sharifov, congratulated the students on their admission to AzTU and wished them success in their studies. The Dean informed the 1st year students about the history of the university, the faculty and the educational directions. Then, Razim Bayramov, Head of the Department of Transport Logistics and Traffic Safety operating under the faculty, and Heybatulla Ahmadov, Consulting Professor of the Department of Transport Engineering and Management Technologies, provided detailed information about the main priority directions of the departments in personnel training, the importance of university-industry cooperation, and modern requirements for the labor market in the field of transport and logistics. AzTU graduates working in high positions in various state and private enterprises spoke at the meeting. It was noted that graduates of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics are in demand in all local and foreign enterprises. Deep mastery of the specialty, practical skills strengthened in the industry, knowledge of several foreign languages ​​and computers, self-presentation, communication and behavioral skills will open up wide job opportunities for AzTU graduates. Sahib Asgarov, an employee of the Technology Transfer Center of AzTU, made a detailed presentation about the opportunities created by the center for students. Deputy Deans of the Faculty Gazanfar Akhundov and Mahir Mustafayev provided the students with necessary information about the educational process and the communication process at the faculty. Speaking on behalf of the students, Rashvin Shirelizade, currently studying in the 4th year, spoke about the values ​​that the faculty has contributed to his education and personal development.

The employees of the Quality Assurance Department of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) – Narmin Khasayeva and Hamida Hasanova participated in the “II ADA Symposium on Quality Assurance in Higher Education” dedicated to quality assurance in higher education, organized by ADA University and in partnership with the Quality Assurance Agency in Education (QAEA). The main goal of the symposium was to bring together representatives of higher education institutions operating in the field of quality assurance and create conditions for the exchange of ideas and experiences. Within the framework of the two-day symposium, topical issues, global trends and best practices in the field of quality assurance and accreditation were discussed with the participation of local and international experts, and seminars on the topic were also organized. The discussions focused on topics such as national accreditation, internal quality assurance systems, evaluation of educational programs, quality of teaching and learning, human resources development, sustainability and project management. At the end of the event, certificates were presented to the participants.
