AzTU-da Zəfər Gününə həsr olunmuş tədbir keçirilib

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetində (AzTU) 44 günlük Vətən müharibəsində qazanılan şanlı Qələbənin 4-cü ilinə həsr olunmuş “Zəfərin sədası” adlı tədbir keçirilib. AzTU, Azərbaycan Respublikası Gənclər Fondu, Azərbaycan Respublikası Gənclər Təşkilatları Milli Şurası, “Gənclərin Maarifləndirilməsinə Dəstək” İctimai Birliyi və “Böyük Qayıdış” Gənclər Təşkilatının birgə təşkilatçılığı ilə keçirilən tədbirdə əvvəlcə ərazi bütövlüyümüz uğrunda canlarından keçmiş Vətən övladlarının xatirəsi bir dəqiqəlik sükutla yad edilib, Azərbaycanın Dövlət Himni səsləndirilib. AzTU-nun rektoru Vilayət Vəliyev Azərbaycanın 44 günlük Vətən müharibəsində qazandığı qələbədə igidlik göstərmiş qəhrəmanları yad edib. AzTU-nun ölkənin müdafiə sənayesi üçün kadr hazırlayan yeganə universitet olduğunu bildirən rektor, müharibədə iştirak etmiş və şəhidlik zirvəsinə ucalmış, eləcə də qazi olmuş tələbələrin şücaətindən də söz açıb və onların gələcək nəsillər üçün örnək olduğunu vurğulayıb. Tədbirdə Milli Məclisin deputatı Naqif Həmzəyev, “Böyük Qayıdış” Gənclər Təşkilatının sədri Nail Şükürov, “Gənclərin Maarifləndirilməsinə Dəstək” İctimai Birliyinin sədri Aynurə Ələkbərli, Gənclər Təşkilatları Milli Şurasının baş katibi Nərminə Hüseynzadə çıxış edərək Azərbaycanın bu parlaq zəfərinin gənclərin dünyagörüşünün və vətənpərvər ruhda böyüməsinin formalaşması istiqamətində vacibliyini qeyd ediblər. Daha sonra çıxış edən qazi anası Afət Muradova, Xüsusi Təyinatlı Qüvvələrin ehtiyatda olan hərbi qulluqçusu, mayor Elşad Təhməzov və AzTU-nun müəllimi, Birinci Qarabağ müharibəsinin iştirakçısı Rasim Həşimov müharibənin gətirdiyi çətinliklər və qazanılan zəfərin ölkə üçün əhəmiyyətindən danışıblar. “Zəfərin sədası” adlı tədbirin bədii hissəsində AzTU Tələbə Gənclər Təşkilatının hazırladığı videoçarx nümayiş etdirilib.  Tədbir AzTU tələbələrinin vətənpərvərlik mövzusunda səsləndirdiyi şeirlər, mahnılar və rəqs nömrələri ilə davam edib.

The winners of the "Victory Tournament" were awarded

The closing and award ceremony of the "Victory Tournament" sports competition was held, organized jointly by the Trade Union Committee of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), and the Sports Club. The primary aim of the tournament was to promote the health of union members and further strengthen the bonds of friendship between students and staff. The closing ceremony of the tournament, held on November 8 in honor of Victory Day, began with a minute of silence to pay tribute to the memory of the brave sons and daughters of the homeland who gave their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our lands. This was followed by the playing of the Azerbaijani national anthem. Subsequently, the Vice Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs of AzTU, Rashad Aliyev, and the Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Azerbaijan Education Workers' Free Trade Union, Mirza Cafarzade, spoke about the historical significance of Victory Day, the importance of our historic victory, the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of nationalism, and the efforts made to protect the health of both staff and students. The award ceremony followed shortly after. It is important to note that over 250 staff members of AzTU competed in the tournament across five sports (futsal, volleyball, chess, checkers, and table tennis), while the students participated in seven sports (table tennis, chess, football, volleyball, basketball, freestyle wrestling, and checkers). The winners were awarded diplomas, medals, trophies, and valuable gifts by AzTU, the Trade Union Committee (HİK), and the Student Trade Union Committee (THİK). In the overall team standings of the "Victory Tournament" for staff, the winners were:1st place – Finance and Supply Department2nd place – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics3rd place – Faculty of Transportation and Logistics. The latest master class by Igor Nasirov, a staff member of the Sustainable Development Institute at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), titled "Growing Contribution of Azerbaijan to Earth’s Green Future," was held online. The fifth session, "National Energy Companies (Major's) Strategies in the Age of Decarbonisation," focused on the production, marketing, and sales of environmentally sustainable products through entrepreneurial projects, all aimed at promoting environmental protection.One of the main objectives of the event was to examine various aspects of COP29 and its alignment with the global climate agenda, as well as to present an analysis of the strategies of major global energy companies to researchers, faculty members, and students.The master class included in-depth discussions on global trends and practices, Azerbaijan's contributions to a green world, projects to be implemented in Azerbaijan at COP29, and the skills required to contribute to a "green future." The event's guest, Konstantin Kovalenko, delivered a presentation on the subject.

The delegation led by the AzTU rector was on a business trip to Kazakhstan

A delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), led by Rector Vilayat Valiyev, conducted an official visit to Kazakhstan within the framework of the “Higher Education Pre-Summit: Asia Region 2024” organized by the “Quacquarelli Symonds” (QS) rating agency. During the visit, the delegation engaged with leading universities in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The delegation included Vice Rector for Science and Innovations Subhan Namazov, Vice Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov, and Head of the Research and Development Department Bakhtiyar Badalov. The primary purpose of the visit was to expand AzTU’s collaboration with Kazakhstani universities that hold prominent positions in international rankings, particularly in the “Quacquarelli Symonds” (QS) as well as other global and regional university rankings. The visit aimed to facilitate joint efforts in executing research and educational projects. During meetings with the rectors and other senior leaders of Almaty University of Energy and Telecommunications and the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satbayev, Rector Vilayat Valiyev delivered a presentation about AzTU. He expressed AzTU’s interest in collaborating on bilateral research projects, mutual faculty and student exchanges, implementation of international and regional projects, co-authorship of scientific publications, and establishing dual academic supervision for master’s and doctoral students. The parties agreed to prepare a roadmap for future activities tailored to the specific features of each university. The rectors of the Kazakh universities also expressed interest in collaborating with AzTU. As part of the visit, bilateral Memoranda of Understanding were signed between AzTU and both Almaty University of Energy and Telecommunications and the Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. AzTU rector spoke at the international summit organized by QS

A delegation led by Vilayat Valiyev, the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in the "Higher Education Pre-Summit: Asia Region 2024," held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the international ranking agency, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and brought together leading universities from Europe and Asia. The AzTU delegation included Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Subhan Namazov; Vice-Rector for International Relations, Fariz Mammadov; and the Head of the Research and Development Department, Bakhtiyar Badalov. Rector Vilayat Valiyev participated as a speaker in the panel titled "Integrating International Goals into Education," delivering a presentation on "Designing Engineering Education to Meet Global Challenges." Climate Change Summit was held at AzTU

Climate Change Summit was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The youths and scientists from Azerbaijan and Türkiye gathered at the summit.  The aim of the summit is to raise awareness of climate change among young people in the lead up to the COP29 conference, encourage them to be proactive in the struggle against climate change and empower them to produce sustainable solutions. The summit was held in cooperation with Türkiye Bahcheshehir University, Bilimsenol Platform and with the participation of various non-governmental organizations. The event provided an opportunity for young participants to share their knowledge and experience and develop new collaborations.  AzTU vice-rector Professor Nurali Yusifbeyli spoke about the importance of the summit. The rector adviser of Bahcheshehir University Ihsan Alpargın said that the summit is an important platform for the youth of Türkiye and Azerbaijan to find a joint solution to regional and international issues.  The summit continued with skits and interesting presentations by high school students dedicated to climate change.

The AzTU team is in the semi-finals of the "49th ICPC - Students' International Programming Competition"

The "AzTU6" team from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has secured a spot in the semifinals of the 49th ICPC - International Collegiate Programming Contest. The team will compete in the semifinals of the 49th ICPC, which will be held in Georgia from December 13-15, 2024. They will also participate in the South Caucasus Open Championship, both in team and individual categories. It is worth mentioning that a total of 174 teams from 23 higher education institutions participated in the competition. In the round of 16, AzTU's "AzTU6" and "AzTU2" teams advanced to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals, featuring 51 teams from 22 higher education institutions, each consisting of three students and one leader, saw the "AzTU6" team officially secure a spot in the semifinals. AzTU was represented by 15 teams in the competition, under the leadership of Vugar Huseynli, a staff member of the SmartTech Innovators Center and Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence, Kenan Asgarli, also a staff member of the SmartTech Innovators Center, and Aytan Sadıgova, Dean of the AzTU SABAH Groups.

The primary aim of the visit was to strengthen AzTU’s collaboration with high-ranking Uzbek universities, particularly those recognized in international rankings, such as the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking, as well as other global and regional university rankings. The visit also sought to establish joint platforms for research and educational projects. During the visit, Rector Vilayat Valiyev met with the leadership of Tashkent State Technical University, Tashkent National University, Tashkent Turin Polytechnic University, the National Research Institute, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent Inha University, the Institute of Chemical Technology, and New Era University. An information session dedicated to the fight against drug addiction was held at AzTU

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), in collaboration with the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, organized an educational event for AzTU students titled "The Consequences of Using Narcotic Substances and Psychotropic Drugs, as well as the Legal Requirements Regarding Their Illegal Circulation." In his speech, the head of AzTU's Communication Department, Safa Baghirov, emphasized the dangers of drug use to human life. He advised students to stay away from harmful habits and focus on learning, engaging in sports, and pursuing other productive activities. Natig Isbatov, a representative of the Main Drug Control Department, provided a detailed explanation of the consequences of using narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs. He highlighted the importance of regular awareness campaigns among young people and noted that AzTU is one of the higher education institutions actively educating students about combating drug addiction.
