Nijat Huseynov and Shamkhal Aliyev, teachers of the Faculty of Energy of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), visited Istanbul Technical University, Yıldız Technical University and Arel University, which are among the leading higher education institutions in Turkey. The main purpose of the visit was to develop inter-university cooperation, implement joint scientific research projects and expand student-teacher exchange. Within the framework of the visit to Istanbul Technical University, the expansion of scientific cooperation between the two higher education institutions and mutual relations in the direction of future joint projects were discussed. AzTU representatives closely familiarized themselves with the material and technical base and laboratories of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Istanbul Technical University. At a meeting with Vatan Karakaya, Vice-Rector of Yıldız Technical University, the parties emphasized the importance of developing the existing traditions of cooperation in the field of education between Azerbaijan and Turkey. Then, the delegation met with the faculty of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics and got acquainted with the modern laboratories operating under the faculty. Here, the participants were provided with detailed information about the projects implemented at the university and the directions of cooperation with industry. The meeting held at Arel University included a presentation on the general structure of the university, the organization of the educational process, international cooperation programs, and opportunities created for students. AzTU representatives got acquainted with the modern material and technical base of Arel University, as well as the "Industry 4.0" laboratory, renewable energy, virtual reality laboratories, and other research centers.

The next “Bootcamp” was organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center within the framework of the “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture” project, which promotes the application of digital technologies and innovative approaches in the field of agriculture. The main goal of the “Bootcamp” is to improve the knowledge and skills of young specialists, study agrarian innovations in a practical environment, and ensure the exchange of experience between large specialized companies, acceleration and incubation centers, as well as students. The “Bootcamp” organized on the territory of the “Food City Agrocomplex” located in the Khachmaz district on August 6-7 was attended by students studying in the specialties of information technologies, agronomy, electronics, nutrition, computer engineering and data analytics. The two-day event was attended by 30 students from about 20 higher education institutions, as well as specialists from more than 10 acceleration and incubation centers. The Bootcamp was attended by Azer Bayramov, director of the AzTU SmartTech Innovators Center, and Aisha Rashidova, a student of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology. Participants had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the application of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector. Practical presentations and demonstrations were held as part of the event by representatives of acceleration and incubation centers, as well as specialized agricultural companies. Participants visited the “Shabran Agro Tourism Center” innovative farm, the Scientific Research Institute of Fruit Growing and Tea Growing, the “Smart Garden” fruit growing area of ​​the institute, and the “Amoris” and “Firdevs” innovative farms. During the info tours, practical information on digital solutions, sensor technologies, and artificial intelligence algorithms applied in farms was presented. “Bootcamp” participants were also given the opportunity to participate in the Agrarian Business Festival and the Peach Festival held in Khachmaz. Within the framework of the festival, students got acquainted with the ecosystem of the agricultural sector, local production, and the agrotourism potential of the region.

A delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) visited the Innovation Center of the Turkish office of Schneider Electric. The visit was organized to strengthen university-industry cooperation, study advanced technologies and evaluate their integration into the educational process. AzTU was represented on the visit by teachers of the Faculty of Energy Nijat Huseynov and Shamkhal Aliyev. During the visit, AzTU representatives were informed about the global activities of Schneider Electric, sustainable energy management, digitalization and innovation initiatives. Then, the most modern technological equipment located in the Innovation Center - automation systems, energy management devices, smart relay systems, sensor devices, electrical panels and digital solutions that increase energy efficiency - was demonstrated. Based on real industrial examples where the equipment is applied, factors such as the advantages they create in production processes, resource savings and operational efficiency were discussed. AzTU representatives were noted that the integration of these devices into the education system has great potential in terms of increasing the practical knowledge and skills of students. During the meeting, the company also demonstrated new-generation software and industrial simulation programs based on virtual reality technology. This simulation technology allows students to interact with real equipment in a virtual environment and learn interactively. Employees of the company's Turkish office said that the use of these systems in the educational process will create a more effective and modern learning environment for students. The prospects for future cooperation between the parties were also discussed in detail during the visit. During the meeting, the organization of joint training and seminars, the establishment of laboratories and technological centers, the organization of students' production practices at Schneider Electric centers, as well as cooperation opportunities in startup and research projects were considered.

Akhmed Ibishov, a third-year student of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) majoring in radio engineering and telecommunications, has achieved international success. Thus, Akhmed Ibishov was selected as one of the 10 best students representing Azerbaijan in the “Seeds for the Future” international internship program of the Chinese company “Huawei” and received a 1-week internship opportunity in the company. The “Seeds for the Future” international internship program is an internship program that supports the Formation of Huawei’s Global Digital Human Resource Base. Participants work with students from different countries to improve their leadership, collaboration, intercultural communication, and teamwork skills. The goal is to prepare young people for building the “smart” world of the future and encourage them to actively participate in digital transformation processes.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held an “Open Door” Day. The event was attended by senior students, their teachers and parents. On the “Open Door” Day, stands of faculties, student organizations and structural divisions and student startups were displayed in the lobby of the university. First, visitors were provided with detailed information about the work, projects, specialties, international relations, and dual diploma programs at the faculty stand. Questions of applicants were also answered. Then, a meeting was held with the participants of the “Open Door” Day in the university assembly hall. At the meeting, AzTU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Nurali Yusifbeyli, provided information about the work done at the university and the projects implemented. Then, with the participation of AzTU Special Representative for Work with Applicants Eyvaz Mahammadli, an excursion was organized for students to the university’s Library Information Center, MGP workshop and laboratories. It should be noted that more than 200 visitors participated in the “Open Door” Day in total.

Young teachers of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Shamkhal Aliyev and Nijat Huseynov visited Gabza Technical University in Türkiye. During the visit, a number of meetings were held to discuss cooperation opportunities, implementation of joint projects and expansion of scientific and research relations between the two universities. First, the delegation met with Ceren Sarısaltık, Head of the International Relations Office of Gabza Technical University. During the meeting, issues of education, student-teacher exchange, as well as implementation of joint scientific and research projects were discussed. Then, the delegation met with Yusuf Çalık, General Director of the technopark operating under Gabza Technical University, Ayşe Arasan, Legal Advisor, and other employees. The meeting discussed the activities of the technopark, the university-industry cooperation model, the work done to support innovation and startups, as well as the contributions of the technopark to the university. The parties exchanged views on the development prospects of technoparks and the establishment of a similar technopark at AzTU. At the end of the visit, AzTU employees got acquainted with the educational buildings, campus, and infrastructure of Gabza Technical University.

Representatives of Schneider Electric held a series of meetings at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and representatives of the university. The main purpose of the meetings was to determine the future directions of cooperation between AzTU and Schneider Electric and to implement joint engineering training programs. During the first stage of the meeting, which was attended by the delegation led by Bihter Gonenli, Country Director of Schneider Electric for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan, information was provided on the company's joint projects with AzTU, its work in the field of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the activities, commitments and cooperation concept to be implemented jointly with the university. In the second stage of the meeting, Tayfur Aydin, Head of the Engineering, Consulting and Training team of Schneider Electric for Turkey and Central Asia, made a presentation and spoke about the importance of preparing a roadmap for practical engineering training programs in the field of electricity generation, and forming a team that thinks about sustainable solutions, analyzes and does real work. The company's employees also spoke about new opportunities for quality service and smart use of energy in the digital age in electricity production. Rector Vilayat Valiyev said that increasing the number of teaching laboratories for the new academic year, carrying out real work there in cooperation with industry, training students as qualified personnel for industry, as well as bringing research work to the highest level are among the goals of AzTU. The rector emphasized that cooperation with the company "Schneider Electric" will be beneficial for AzTU students specializing in electricity. During the meetings, issues such as exchange and internship programs for students within the framework of joint cooperation were also discussed.

The exhibition of higher education institutions organized in the electronic examination building of the State Examination Center has ended. Representatives of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) also participated in the exhibition. About 300 applicants and their parents visited the AzTU stand during 3 days. It should be noted that the purpose of the exhibition was to familiarize applicants with the existing opportunities of higher education institutions before choosing a specialty and to support them in determining their specialty choice.

Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev visited the exhibition of higher education institutions organized in the electronic examination building at the State Examination Center. The Rector inspected the stands of AzTU and Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and met with visitors. Later, the Rector also visited the stands of other universities. After getting familiarized with the exhibition, Rector Vilayat Valiyev also participated in the extensive presentation of AzTU organized every day at 12:00. Here, the Rector met with applicants and their parents, answered questions, and also provided information about new approaches at AzTU regarding engineering specialties. It should be noted that the exhibition will conclude its activity on August 1.

The guests met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and university representatives. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss joint training opportunities in accordance with the professional requirements of industrial enterprises within the framework of university-industry cooperation at AzTU and to identify other areas of cooperation. First, Ahad Kazimov, Senior Training Advisor of Synergia Academy, made a presentation on joint training opportunities in accordance with the professional requirements of industrial enterprises, and provided detailed information on possible training areas and management mechanisms. During the meeting, the possibilities of AzTU and Synergia Academy implementing joint educational and research projects with leading engineering universities of foreign countries were discussed.         At the end of the meeting, the guests got acquainted with AzTU's educational and research laboratories.
