Professor Nizami Yusubov, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and Associate Professor Arastun Mammadov, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, visited Germany within the framework of a grant project funded by the Azerbaijan Science Foundation (Grant No. AEF-MGC-2024-2(50)-16/01/1-M-01).

The aim was to further deepen joint scientific research, discuss the results obtained, conduct practical experiments on site, and discuss the joint publication of the research in high-ranking scientific journals.

Project leader Professor Nizami Yusubov and project executor Associate Professor Arastun Mammadov met with Professor Sylvio Simon, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Energy Systems of the Brandenburg Technical University Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU C-S), and his colleagues within the framework of a scientific mission to discuss the work on the grant project in question.

As part of the visit, an excursion was organized for AzTU representatives to the “Deutsche Bahn” Transport Vehicles Repair LLC, and scientific cooperation and technological directions with industrial enterprises were determined during the meetings. In addition, some initial experimental studies were also conducted in the Metalworking Machine Tool Laboratory.

It should be noted that research is currently being successfully continued at BTU within the framework of the grant project. This cooperation is making a necessary contribution to increasing the international rating of the grant project. It is planned to jointly publish the conducted research in highly rated scientific journals and to train joint doctoral students in the future.
