A meeting was held to expand cooperation opportunities between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and SOCAR.

The meeting was attended by AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and university representatives, as well as SOCAR Deputy Vice President Ayten Farzaliyeva, Head of the Talent Management and Business Partnership Department Ulker Behbudova, SOCAR “Downstream Management” Human Resources and Business Partnership Manager Narmin Abdullayeva, and Head of the Recruitment Department of the Head Office Hamid Israfilov.

Rector Vilayat Valiyev provided information on projects implemented at AzTU in recent years and work done within the framework of university-industry cooperation. The meeting discussed the areas of cooperation such as organizing students’ industrial experience at SOCAR enterprises, implementing joint scientific and research projects, exchanging experiences between teachers and specialists, as well as jointly organizing seminars and trainings.

SOCAR Deputy Vice President Ayten Farzaliyeva provided information about the company's "Young Talents" program, as well as the opportunities created for universities. She also noted information about the internship programs that AzTU graduates have undergone at SOCAR and their subsequent employment rates.

At the end of the meeting, an exchange of views was held between the parties on the signing of a memorandum of understanding to formalize mutual cooperation.
