A training on the topic “She is not just a girl, she is an engineer” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The training, organized by the Communication Department of AzTU, was attended by female students of the university.

The purpose of the training is to increase girls’ interest in the field of engineering and promote gender equality.

The trainer, second place winner of the World Robot Olympiad, 2nd year student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy of AzTU, Anabaji Amiraslanova, provided her students with important information on the role of women in engineering, success stories of women engineers in the world and Azerbaijan, statistics of women participating in STEM, startup opportunities for women, development of their leadership skills, and other areas.

Then, the participants were divided into teams and held discussions around the topic.
