An educational meeting with foreign students was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) within the framework of the project “Migration rules, medical accessibility and country promotion among foreign students studying in Azerbaijan”.
Orkhan Vatankhah, Head of the International Relations Department of AzTU, made a speech and provided information about the innovations implemented in connection with the new academic year and the conditions created for foreign students. He emphasized the importance of meetings between State Migration Service (SMS) employees and foreign students.
Vidadi Fatullayev, Chairman of the “Development of the Migration Field” Public Union, noted that the number of foreign students studying in the country has increased against the background of Azerbaijan’s growing international reputation and economic development. Speaking about the joint activities of higher education institutions and state agencies in this area, he expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the SMS and AzTU for supporting the organization of the event.
Khayala Abbasova, Deputy Head of the Legal Support Department of the SMS, provided detailed information about migration legislation, rules for entering and leaving the country, temporary residence and registration procedures. He highlighted the importance of timely and correct implementation of these procedures.
During the event, the questions raised by the students were answered by Tural Karimov, Chief Inspector of the Main Department of Migration Control of the State Migration Service, Aykhan Rzayev, Inspector of the Main Department of Analysis and Information Support of Migration Processes, and Ruslan Aghayev, Chief Inspector of the Main Department of Regulation of Migration Processes. The State Migration Service employees provided detailed explanations on the provisions of the migration legislation related to foreign students.
