The presentation of the book “Climate Change and ISO Standards” prepared by the “Quality Association” Public Union was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).

At the event, Samir Novruzlu, Chairman of the “Quality Association” Public Union, spoke about the 18-year activity of the organization, as well as the projects and events it has implemented.

AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized that climate change, global warming and the fight against it are one of the most urgent problems for humanity. He noted that ISO standards play an important role in preventing these processes, protecting ecological balance and ensuring sustainable development, conducting scientific research, applying innovative approaches and expanding international cooperation, and reducing this impact. The Rector said that the book “Climate Change and ISO Standards” covers modern approaches and methods in the struggle against climate change. The book in question can be used as an important methodological tool for specialists, researchers and students.

Khamis Seyranov, General Director of the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute, spoke about climate change, environmental problems, and the importance of implementing international standards in the field of metrology.

The speakers spoke about the approaches and methodologies currently being applied around the world to mitigate climate change and its impacts.
