The Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Institute of Information Technologies and Methodological Support in Education of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and “OzünÖyren” LLC jointly organized the super final round of the “Bebras” Informatics and Algorithmic Thinking Competition at AzTU. About 100 students (grades 1-9) from different regions of the Republic participated in the competition. In this competition, the students’ algorithmic thinking and computer skills were tested and automatically evaluated. The competition was held through the bebras.az portal. Participants were given 45 minutes to answer the questions. Finally, the winners of the first three places in each age category of the “Bebras” Informatics and Algorithmic Thinking Competition were determined. It should be noted that 17,564 students representing grades 1–10 of 376 secondary schools from 69 regions of Azerbaijan participated in the qualification stage of the competition, which was held in an online format in December 2024. As a result, 667 students qualified for the semi-final stage. 418 students participated in the semi-final stage held at AzTU on April 12, 2025, and 100 of them advanced to the final stage. In 2024, approximately 3,900,000 students from more than 80 countries around the world participated in the “Bebras” competition. It should be noted that this competition has been organized in Azerbaijan since 2014. Our country gained full member status at the international “Bebras” conference held in Seoul, South Korea, on May 11–15, 2025. The main goal of the competition is to increase students' interest in information technology and computer science through interactive and interesting questions.

A free dental examination was held at the Student Polyclinic No. 1 of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) for students, academic and administrative staff. The examination was carried out by residents and doctors of the Teaching Dental Clinic of the Azerbaijan Medical University. During the 5-hour examination, medical advice was given to those who had problems with their teeth. Also, necessary recommendations for dental health were brought to attention.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) successfully participated in the Baku Energy Week held at the Baku Expo Center on June 2–4, 2025. The university's Mechatronics Department took part in the startup zone with its innovative project "Blue Energy - Smart Wave Energy Converter". The startup, presented by the author of the project, Ilkin Aliyev, assistant professor of the Mechatronics Department, and student Eldar Darvishov, has aroused great interest from both local and international companies and resulted in a number of cooperation proposals. The project aims to generate sustainable electricity using both vertical and horizontal movements of sea waves.

Elmira Javadova, General Director of AWE Consulting in Azerbaijan, and company representatives visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and university representatives. Detailed information about the company was provided at the meeting. It was noted that AWE Consulting is a global consulting company specializing in regenerative marketing, advanced business strategies and transformative ideas aimed at sustainable development, as well as social impact. The company is interested in improving the quality of education in the fields of marketing, communication and innovation with AzTU, as well as exchanging experience in this direction. At the meeting, discussions were held between AzTU and the company on the organization of joint trainings in the field of marketing and communication, and the possibility of participation in various educational and research projects for teachers, employees and students. In addition, it was noted that the Azerbaijani edition of the book “Essentials of Modern Marketing-EOMM” by world-renowned marketing expert Philip Kotler was made available to readers. The goal is to bring world-class marketing expertise to Azerbaijan and ensure that the country's innovative achievements and success stories are recognized on the global stage.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) hosted an International Day on the theme of “Education and Research Opportunities in Korea”. At the event, visiting professor Woojik Chun, who works at AzTU within the framework of the “World Friends of Korea (WFK) Consultants Program” of the National Information Technology Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), informed teachers and students about education and research opportunities in Korea. Then, video presentations and stands on Korean culture were shown. Korean cuisine dishes were also served to the participants.

The 1st and 2nd year students of the MBA program in International Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and the 2nd and 3rd year students of the Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Transport Technologies Engineering of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics visited the Absheron Logistics Center. The students were accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics, Gazanfar Akhundov, Sevinj Abdinzade, and the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Transport Logistics and Traffic Safety, Avaz Asgarov. Here, the students were informed about the history, geostrategic location, technical capabilities, and job opportunities created here of the Absheron Logistics Center. The students also got acquainted with the AzTU training center operating in the center. As part of the visit, the students were given practical lessons in relevant areas.

A delegation led by the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, visited the Baku Crystal Hall. The guests met with the director of “Baku Crystal Hall” LLC, Bahar Dadashova, and the employees of the enterprise. During the meeting, discussions were held on cooperation in organizing industrial internships for undergraduates in specialties corresponding to the activities of the Baku Crystal Hall of AzTU, and scientific and research internships for master's students in relevant specializations, as well as improving curricula and programs. In addition, an agreement was reached on the research of topics relevant to the production activities of the Baku Crystal Hall by doctoral and dissertation students of AzTU in their scientific and research works. The parties formalized the mentioned issues in a memorandum of cooperation. After the signing ceremony, the AzTU delegation got acquainted with the territory of the Baku Crystal Hall.

The closing and award ceremony of the "PILLA 3" Republican Student Performance Festival, organized by the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Culture and the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (ASUCA), was held. The performance of the same name, staged based on the comedy "Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Masteli Shah" by Mirza Fatali Akhundov, performed by the Theater Club of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), which participated in the festival, was awarded. The production director of the performance, a member of the AzTU Theater Club, and a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology, Khayal Abdullayev, won the "Best Male Role" nomination for his portrayal of Dervish Masteli Shah.

The II Republican Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital Medicine 4.0: Problems, Opportunities and Prospects” co-chaired by Corresponding Member of ANAS, Doctor of Technical Sciences Ramiz Aliguliyev and Corresponding Member of ANAS, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Oktay Gasimov, and with the scientific secretariat of Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Gunay Iskanderli, continued its work with section meetings. Senior Researcher of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Javid Abbasli made a report at the section meeting on the topics of “Study of the increasing dynamics of neurologically based mental disorders with neural networks” and “Analysis of Large Language Models for the central processing of medical data”. Then, questions on the topics were replied.

The summer exam session of the spring semester of the 2024/2025 academic year has begun at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) at the bachelor's and master's (full-time) levels. The session will conclude on July 5. The exam session for those studying part-time will cover June 10-16. Exams are held by test, written-electronic method for I and II courses of full-time education, and by oral and test method for III courses. Exams for I, II, III, IV courses of part-time education are organized by test method. At the master's level, exams are held by oral method. Students who did not participate in the exam during the session for valid reasons will be provided with the opportunity to take exams in those subjects from July 10 to 15. It should be noted that in order to monitor the progress of the session and ensure transparency, the Appeals Commission, the Examination Headquarters, and the "Commission" (+99412 539 11 25) operate at AzTU.
