Within the framework of the 75th anniversary events of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), an international forum on the topic of “University-industry cooperation, directions, examples and artificial intelligence” was held at the initiative and organization of the university, in partnership with the Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU), the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMEDA), the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASK) and the Caspian Energy Club. The aim is to discuss models of cooperation between universities and industry, share advanced international experience and assess the growing role of higher education institutions in the process of integrating new technologies, especially artificial intelligence, into the production environment. Opening the event with an introductory speech and welcoming the guests, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the importance of establishing a sustainable model of university-industry relations and joint activities based on experience. The Rector spoke about the great contribution of the SME Model Enterprise, which AzTU has created together with SME and is successfully operating, to university-industry cooperation, and the importance of the sustainability of such initiatives. Chairman of the Board of SME Orkhan Mammadov spoke about the participation of higher education institutions in micro and small entrepreneurship activities and their role in the formation of young entrepreneurs. He noted that for the effectiveness of university-industry cooperation, it is important to correctly understand and accept modern challenges, establish scientific and research directions according to market requirements, conduct internship programs, train professional personnel, and access to financial resources. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University, said that it is not easy to establish university-industry cooperation in the modern era. Only research universities that attach importance to scientific and research and allocate funds can implement such an approach. He noted that the most prestigious universities in the world have built their working principle on university-industry-artificial intelligence, and then train leading masters and doctors who guide the industry and bring innovations, adapting to the requirements of the modern market. Chairman and CEO of Caspian Energy Club, Telman Aliyev, spoke about the application of artificial intelligence in production and the responsibility of higher education in this area, saying that modern universities should take advantage of the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence from education to production, and at the same time, security issues should be a priority in parallel. Farid Velizade, Senior Advisor to the President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, shared about the organizational and institutional mechanisms of cooperation in the university-industry-state triangle, noting that both university representatives, employees of state institutions, and industry representatives should work together to achieve effective work.            Then, Professor Mehmet Simshir, Vice-Rector of Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU), Professor Mesut Guner, Deputy Chairman of TUBITAK, and Mustafa Guden, Professor of Izmir High Technology Institute, Jamil Safarov, Director of the Ganja Production Complex of “Azeraluminium” LLC, Professor Adalat Samedov, First Vice-Rector of the Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy, Mammadsaleh Aliyev, Department Head of the Ministry of Defense Industry, Ozgur Kurum, Director of the “Aselsan-Baku” Company, and Yadullah Babayev, Director of the AzTU Technology Transfer Office, made detailed presentations on the ways in which universities can transfer scientific knowledge to industry through technology transfer and innovation centers, strengthening university-industry relations in the startup ecosystem and the environment supporting new initiatives, the experiences of international technology transfer offices, their role in integration into industry, as well as the joint development of specialized personnel training and scientific and technical experience in the defense and aviation industries. The event was attended by more than 100 industry representatives and representatives of academic and technological institutions from different countries.

The event "Azerbaijan's Signature in the Sky of the Future" was held jointly organized by the Narimanov District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party and the "EMEDIA GROUP" Media Organization, dedicated to the dear memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the 102nd anniversary of his birth. The event was attended by state representatives, deputies of the Milli Majlis, heads of non-governmental organizations, media representatives, public and political figures, the management board of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), students and other guests. The event was remembered by the presentation of the innovative drone project "M.AERO H10" developed by AzTU students. First,the participants of theevent laid flowers in front of the bust of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the lobby and expressed their respect for his memory. In the opening ceremony of the event, dear memory of the Great Leader and the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the sake of our territorial integrity and sovereignty was commemorated with a minute of silence and the National Anthem was played. Then, detailed information was provided about the main technical features of the drone. It was stated that the drone, which can operate in a fully authoritarian mode, has a reconnaissance camera system, a kamikaze function, high maneuverability and shock-absorbing wheels. With its aerodynamic structure, it floats in the air like a silent but willful being that can speak to the winds. All the software of the drone - from artificial intelligence to control - is the product of the students' own intellect. It was noted that the project is a clear result of the attention and care of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev for young people, as well as his far-sighted policy. The choice of the name “H10” as “Heydar Aliyev 10” is not accidental - it is a symbol of the students' deep love and respect for the Great Leader. Through this project, they not only created technological innovation, but also brought to life the policy instilled in the youth by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, turning his ideas into real results. The team members who worked on the project were invited to the stage and introduced to the public: Project Manager Rashvin Shirelizadeh, Engineer Anar Mammadov, Mechanic Adil Orujov, Electrical and Electronics Specialist Ismayil Rahimli, and Programmer Elmir Nabiyev. Expressing their inspiration from the glorious Victory won in our 44-day just war, the young people recalled the great role of unmanned aerial vehicles produced by the brotherly country Turkey in the Victory achieved in the Patriotic War. It was stated that the implementation of the project began two months ago, taking into account the advantages brought by the application of modern technologies. Talking about the drone they developed, the young people noted that thanks to the programs specially written for the camera, filming is carried out more accurately and functionally. Its stability in the air and flight accuracy are regulated by special algorithms. Its movements are gentle but decisive. Then, the Chairman of the Narimanov district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), Elchin Guliyev, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing and Hostage Citizens, Eldar Samadov, Advisor to the Minister of Defense Industry, Arif Babayev, Members of Parliament - Jala Aliyeva, Konul Nurullayeva, Aydin Mirzazade, Gunay Aghamali, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Issues, Sadagat Gahramanova, Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, Natig Mammadli, Chairman of the Yasamal district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, Vice-Rector of AzTU Rashad Aliyev, Chairman of the "EMEDIA GROUP" Media Organization, Elshan Aliyev, and others, stated that the statehood and youth policy founded by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully continued today by his worthy successor, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev. It is the result of the same policy that during the 44-day Patriotic War, thousands of young people voluntarily flocked to the front and fought for the Motherland at the call of the head of the country. This was the highest example of unity, trust in the leader, and patriotism. Noting that drones and UAVs greatly helped Azerbaijan in conducting military operations during the Second Karabakh War, supporting the offensive of the Armed Forces, gaining new positions, and minimizing losses, the speakers highly appreciated the technology developed by the young people and their professionalism, made suggestions for its improvement and the development of new technologies, and expressed their confidence that they would achieve greater success. Finally, the team members were awarded honorary certificates.

A seminar was organized at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) by Aliaksandr Birokou, Vice President of the prestigious international scientific publishing house Springer Nature. The academic staff of AzTU actively participated in the seminar on the topic "International publishing opportunities with Springer Nature: Perspectives for Azerbaijan", and the participants received detailed information about the publication of scientific articles in international journals, Open Access models, publication of conference materials and other publishing opportunities provided by Springer Nature. During the seminar, Birokou provided information about the international scientific publishing house "Springer Nature" and its working principles. Then, the guest exchanged views on ways to increase the representation of Azerbaijani scientists on international scientific platforms and publication strategies on research topics specific to the region. He said that publications of many universities from Azerbaijan are included in their database, and AzTU has entered this database with 474 publications. The most requested research topics from Azerbaijan were mainly selected from fields such as physics, chemistry, applied mathematics and computer sciences, engineering, etc. At the end of the seminar, questions from the AzTU teaching staff were answered.

Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev met with Kenan Niftaliyev, a student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, who achieved success in the international statistical quiz. It was noted that Kenan Niftaliyev answered 75 out of 85 questions correctly in the online statistical quiz "Figures and Facts of Victory" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, organized by the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Kenan Niftaliyev, who scored 156 points out of a possible 176 points, was one of the two students who scored the highest points in the quiz among Azerbaijani higher education institutions. Rector Vilayat Valiyev congratulated Kenan Niftaliyev on his achievement in the international statistical quiz. He wished him success in his classes and the next competitions.

Narmin Khasayeva, Afag Ismayilzade, and Hamida Hasanova, employees of the Quality Assurance Department of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in a 4-day training program on “Quality Assurance System in Higher Education” organized at Baku State University (BSU). The training program was held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation signed between Azerbaijani universities and Kırshehir Ahi Evran University of Turkey, with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the organization of the BSU Quality Assurance Center. During the training, presentations were made and discussions were held on the topics of establishing and developing quality assurance systems in higher education. Huseyin Shimshek, Vice-Rector of Kırshehir Ahi Evran University, noted the importance of exchange of experience in the field of higher education between Azerbaijan and Turkey, and stated that this initiative plays an important role in terms of strategic partnership. At the end of the training program, certificates were presented to the participants.

May 10 marks the 102nd anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, the brilliant son of our people and national leader.In this regard, the staff of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) visited the grave of the Great Leader in the Alley of Honor.

The closing and awarding ceremony of a series of sports competitions among teams of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held with the joint organization of the New Azerbaijan Party Yasamal district organization, Yasamal District Executive Power, the Youth and Sports Sector of the Baku City Youth and Sports Department, and the partnership of the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Pomegranate Producers and Exporters Association Farhad Garashov. The Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was represented at the event by Habib Mirzayev, Head of the Department of Humanities.According to the results of the competition, AzTU teams were awarded 1st place in mini football, volleyball (among boys), basketball, and tennis, and 2nd place in chess.

An event dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was held jointly organized by Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU).At first, a minute of silence was observed in memory of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of modern independent Azerbaijan, the great son of our people and national leader, and the sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our lands.The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.The moderator of the event, Habib Mirzayev, Head of the Department of Humanities at AzTU, delivered an opening speech and spoke about the historical and invaluable services of the Great Leader to the people of Azerbaijan.AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the science and education strategy of the outstanding statesman, national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev.He said that the Great Leader always attached importance to the training of educated personnel in the country.It was noted that the brilliant personality Heydar Aliyev was the leader of the Turkic world.The Great Leader had invaluabled services in establishing relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkic world in all areas.The emergence and development of the ideology of Azerbaijanism is also connected with the name of the Great Leader.The development of Azerbaijan in all areas, of which the Great Leader was the architect, is being successfully continued today by President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.Then, TAU Vice-Rector Mehmet Shimshir and AzTU Associate Professor Akif Naghi made speeches.It was noted that Heydar Aliyev, who remains in the memory of the people with the savior figure , saved Azerbaijan from the threat of destruction.Today's victorious Azerbaijan is precisely the triumph of the Great Leader's policy.The national leader Heydar Aliyev, a symbol of sacrifice and struggle, is a brilliant personality whom we will always remember with love and pride.

A delegation led by Muhammad Kaleem Asif, Rector of the Foundation University of Islamabad (FUI) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).The guests met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and university representatives.Welcoming the guests, Rector Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the projects implemented at AzTU in recent years.The rector emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation in the fields of education and research between Azerbaijani and Pakistani universities.FUI Rector Muhammad Kaleem Asif spoke about the work and innovations carried out at the higher education institution.The meeting also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.Later, a memorandum of understanding was signed between  two universities.

The traditional XII Spartakiade,was held at the Sports Palace of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) among AzTU employees and students, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the birth of the Great leader Heydar Aliyev, has come to an end.At the closing ceremony organized by the AzTU Trade Union Committee (TUC), the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), and the AzTU Sports Club, the dear memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan was commemorated with a minute of silence.Then the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.AzTU employees participating in the Spartakiade competed in football, volleyball, table tennis, checkers and chess, while AzTU students competed in football, volleyball, table tennis, checkers, chess, basketball and wrestling.Congratulating the winners, AzTU Vice-Rector Rashad Aliyev said that about 250 employees and 400 students participated in the Spartakiade.The vice-rector emphasized that the development of sports and physical education is always at the forefront of AzTU.Later, Elshad Novruzov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of Azerbaijan, and Elvin Bakhtiyarli, Chairman of the AzTU Trade Union Committee, conveyed their congratulations to the competition participants and expressed their gratitude for their active participation.The speeches particularly emphasized the attention and care shown by the National Leader to sports and health of young people and citizens.Information was also provided about AzTU cooperation with the Republican Committee of the Azerbaijan Education Workers' Free Trade Union and future opportunities to effectively organize employees' leisure time and protect their health.Then there was an award ceremony.In the chess competitions, the Faculty of Transport and Logistics was awarded first place among employees, and the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology was awarded first place among students.In the table tennis competitions, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics was awarded first place among employees, and the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications was awarded first place among students.In the checkers competition, the General Departments team won first place among employees, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics won first place among students.In the volleyball competitions, the General Departments team won first place among employees, and the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications won first place among students.In the futsal tournament, the General Departments team won first place among employees, and the Faculty of Metallurgy and Chemical Technology won first place among students.The Faculty of Energy won first place in the basketball competitions held among students.In freestyle wrestling competitions, AzTU students took first, second, and third places in different weight categories.The winners were awarded with diplomas, medals and gifts by the AzTU Rectorate, the Trade Union Committee and  the Student Trade Union Committee.
