An event dedicated to the results of the advanced training program implemented in BakuBus LLC for the sustainable development of urban transport and increasing traffic safety was held.
The project aimed to improve the quality of service in urban public transport, increase traffic safety and form the potential of professional personnel in the field.
The event was attended by the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev, Chairman of the Board of BakuBus LLC Hikmat Garibov, employees of the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU - trainers, as well as listeners of the training program.
Welcoming the participants, Hikmat Garibov, Chairman of the Board of BakuBus LLC, highly appreciated the cooperation with AzTU. He noted that after the initial official meetings with BakuBus LLC, a detailed analysis of the company's personnel needs was conducted by the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU. The conducted assessments showed the necessity of increasing the academic-theoretical knowledge, field terminology and awareness of the normative-legal framework of the employees.
AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev stated that the training program was implemented within the framework of the strategic cooperation established between AzTU and “BakuBus” LLC towards the sustainable development of urban transport, strengthening of personnel potential and increasing professional knowledge in the field. The Rector noted the importance of expanding training programs in the future.
Fuad Dashdemirov, Director of the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU, provided extensive information on the implementation of the training program. He stated that the trainings were conducted by the professional academic staff of the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU and combined theoretical knowledge with practical approaches. The program provided theoretical and practical knowledge on the basic concepts in the field of road safety, relevant normative-legal documents, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Road Traffic”, analysis of road accidents and safety requirements for vehicles.
Gasim Manafov, associate professor of the Department of Transport Engineering and Management Technologies of AzTU, provided detailed information about the success and performance of the students during the training program.
During the speeches, the aforementioned cooperation model between AzTU and "BakuBus" was evaluated as a successful example of effective knowledge and experience exchange between higher education institutions and the industrial sector, university-industry cooperation based on real results, and it was noted that it is intended to be continued in the future.
At the end of the event, certificates were presented to those who successfully completed the training program.
