The Startup Days, held at the Incubation Center of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the participation of students from AzTU, Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and the National Aviation Academy (MAA), have successfully concluded. The event, organized in partnership with the “Startup Azerbaijan” platform, brought together young people interested in innovative ideas, mentors and experts for two days.

On the opening day of the event, the head of the “Startup Azerbaijan” platform Osman Gunduz welcomed the participants with an opening speech. Then, AzTU Incubation Center Coordinator Azad Musayev provided information about the Startup Days program.

On the first day of the event, a total of forty four startup ideas were presented by students. After short presentations, eight most promising ideas were selected as a result of voting and qualified for the next stage. Teams were formed on the selected ideas, and the preparation of initial prototypes and business models of the projects began.

On the second day of the event, the formation of ideas, choosing the right direction, teamwork and development of presentation skills were assessed.

At the end of the day, the teams demonstrated their projects in front of the jury in the form of 4-5 minute presentations.

The projects were evaluated by the jury (Farid Kazimov, Samir Habibli, Rahid Alakbarli, Rasim Abdullayev, Rashad Aliyev) on the criteria of innovativeness, technical justification, implementation potential and business value.

According to the results, the “Timeless History” team, consisting of AzTU and MAA students, took 1st place. The “Youth.az” and “Skill Match” teams, consisting of AzTU students, took 2nd place. The “Nexo” team, consisting of AzTU and TAU students, took 3rd place.
