A meeting of the joint working group established between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the Ministry of Defense Industry (MSN) was held.
Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Nurali Yusifbeyli emphasized that the extensive and systematic cooperation between AzTU and MSN was highly appreciated.
Representative of the Ministry of Defense Industry Elsever Ibadov noted that the existing cooperation between both institutions is of strategic importance.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on the main issues on the agenda. Thus, the appointment of graduates of the AzTU Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology of 2024 and previous years, the existing curriculum of specialties at the faculty, as well as the mechanisms for appointing joint scientific supervisors for graduation theses for the 2025/2026 academic year were reviewed.
At the same time, the issue of organizing 6-month application-oriented trainings for 2nd and 3rd year students studying in engineering specialties was also in the spotlight. It was noted that these trainings will serve to improve the practical knowledge and skills of students, as well as to more effectively meet the personnel needs of the defense industry.
The meeting emphasized the importance of further deepening university-industry cooperation and expressed mutual agreement to continue joint activities in this direction.
