Bu konfrans tədqiqatçılara yeni ideyalar və tətbiq təcrübələri mübadiləsi, biz­nes və ya tədqiqat əlaqələri qurmaq və gələcək əməkdaşlıq üçün qlobal tərəfdaşlar tap­maq imkanı verir. Bu ümumi platformanın cəmiyyətə daha yaxşı xidmət etmək üçün müxtəlif sahələr arasında birgə sahibkarlıq fəaliyyətinə zəmin yaradacağı göz­lə­nilir. Maşınqayırma texnologiyası kafedrasının doktorantı Samir Əmirli 26 avqust 2024-cü ildə Amster­dam şəhərində bu konfransda “S.Simon, N.Yusubov, S.Amirli, F.Ami­rov.  Hidroabrazivlə HARDOX-500 markalı poladın kəsilməsində kələ-kötür­lüyün tədqiqi üçün tam faktorlu eksperimentlərin planlaşdırılması (“Planning of full Factorial Experiments For The Investigation Of Roughness In Hydroabrasive Waterjet Cutting of HARDOX-500 Steel”)” adlı məruzə ilə çıxış edib. Məruzə maraqla qarşılanıb və seçilmiş konfrans məqaləsi kimi çap üçün Scopus xülasələn­dir­mə və indeksləmə sisteminə düşən jurnalda çap üçün tövsiyə olunub. Qeyd edək ki, dərc ediləcək konfrans materiallar eyni zamanda xülsələndirmək və indeksləşdirmək üçün ISI Thomson Reuters Web of Science-a təqdim olunacaq.

Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of AzTU and vice-rector for international relations Fariz Mammadov met the Rector of Quiad-i-Azam University (QAU), which ranks first in Pakistan in international rating systems, and highly rated researchers, as part of their visit to Pakistan. The main goal of the meeting between Quiad-i-Azam University and AzTU, which was established as a research university, was the exchange between professional researchers, the joint guidance of master's and doctoral students, as well as the implementation of joint projects, by conducting joint quality research of industrial importance. Within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on issues of joint cooperation in the direction of education, research and innovation.

AzTU rektoru Vilayət Vəliyev və beynəlxalq əlaqələr üzrə prorektor Fariz Məmmədov 26-28 avqust tarixlərində Pakistana səfər çərçivəsində Pakistanın Milli Elm və Texnologiya Universitetinin (NUST) rektoru Cavid Mahmud Buxari və universitet rəhbərliyi, eləcə də bu ali təhsil müəssisəsinin digər akademik, tədqiqat və innovasiya strukturlarında görüşlər keçirib. Görüşlərdə NUST və AzTU-nun son illər inkişaf edən əməkdaşlıqları nəticəsində davamlı sənayeni dəstəkləyən tədris, tədqiqat və yeni texnologiyaların inkişafını diqqətdə saxlayan birgə fəaliyyət planının layihəsini hazırlayaraq ilkin müzakirəsini keçiriblər. İki ölkənin maraqları baxımından birgə müəllim və tələbə mübadiləsi üzrə akademik proqramlar, birgə tədqiqat layihələri, innovativ texnologiyaların və sahibkarlığın inkişafına dəstək sahələrini əhatə edən birgə fəaliyyət planının ilin sonuna kimi təsdiq edilməsi və fəaliyyətə başlanılması qərara alınıb. Görüşlərdə iki universitetin inkişafını dəstəkləyən digər mühüm məsələlər də müzakirə edilərək razılaşdırılıb.

The next master-class "Growing Contribution of Azerbaijan to Earth's Green Future" by Igor Nasirov, an employee of the Institute of Sustainable Development of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), was organized online. The fourth "Green Finance" part is dedicated to the financing of entrepreneurial projects for environmental purposes, such as reducing emissions, protecting biodiversity, etc. One of the main objectives of the event was to bring to the attention of scientific researchers, professors, and students to examine various aspects of COP29 and its relevance to the global climate agenda. Global trends and practices, Azerbaijan's contribution to the green world, projects to be implemented in COP29 in Azerbaijan, contribution to the "green future" were discussed in the direction of developing skills. Dina Azhgaliyeva, senior researcher of the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), gave her report as a special guest at the event.

During the admission conducted by the State Examination Center, 2585 people gained the right to study at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) at the bachelor's level in technical and technological, as well as economic and management specialties for the 2024-2025 academic year. Of them, 2072 people gained the right to study through a competitive process, and 513 people gained the student title as a result of non-competitive admission.  Due to the non-competitive admission of international and republican subject olympiads, international competitions and competitions and the list of their winners to higher education institutions, Atayev Fuad Ramil oglu, the winner of the Republican Subject Olympiad in Mathematics, began studying at AzTU without taking entrance exams. In addition, 512 undergraduates benefited from the advantages of the alternative admission form in various specialties. The final stage of the international competition "Finding Innovative and Creative Solutions (FICS)" was held in the city of Islamabad of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, jointly organized by the National Science and Technology University (METU) and the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). FICS is the largest startup competition held annually in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan since 2013. Care is taken to ensure that all projects presented in the competition comply with the Sustainable Development Goals. Professor Vilayat Valiyev, rector of AzTU, speaking at the event, spoke about the role of the competition in creating innovative solutions related to global challenges. The rector pointed out that the participation of the teams of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Pakistan universities in the competition is a clear example of the cooperation of the three brotherly countries. It should be noted that the winner of the international competition was the team of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University. The AzTU team won the "most innovative socially oriented idea" nomination.

Araz Pashayev, the chairman of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers, held a meeting with the chairmen of student trade union committees operating in higher education institutions. The meeting was organized in preparation for the conference on "Healthy people and sustainable future", which will be held in "Tahsil" Recreation Center located in Nabran settlement of Khachmaz district in September of this year. Chairman of AzTU Student Trade Union Committees Mirmuhammed Alakbarli took part in the meeting. Noting that youth policy is one of the main activities of RCFTUAEW, A. Pashayev said that the activities in this direction will be continued from now on, the organization is related to the effective organization of the leisure time of young people, their education in a healthy spirit, and their upbringing as worthy citizens with a modern way of thinking. will implement various projects. He said that the conference on "Healthy people and sustainable future" will be one of these events. Then the event was continued in the form of a discussion, and the proposals of THİK chairmen were listened to. A. Pashayev gave relevant recommendations regarding the organization of the conference at a high level.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Elektrotexnika kafedrasının baş müəllimi Əmiraslan Manafov uzunsürən xəstəlikdən sonra vəfat edib. Əmiraslan Manafov 1995-2007-ci illərdə AzTU-nun Elektrik enerji təchizatı və izolyasiya kafedrasında tədris ustası vəzifəsində çalışıb. 2015-ci ildən fəaliyyətini Elektrotexnika kafedrasında baş müəllim vəzifəsində davam etdirib.   AzTU-nun rəhbərliyi və kollektivi Əmiraslan Manafovun vəfatından kədərlənir, ailəsinə və yaxınlarına başsağlığı verir. A cooperation agreement was signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and TİS (Technological Isolator Systems) company, which has considerable experience in providing seismic stability in the world. The contract was signed by AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and TIS Deputy General Director Sadun Tanisher.  The parties will cooperate in the direction of educating specialists, providing training and seminars, and implementing joint projects to ensure the seismic stability of large buildings and facilities.  According to the agreement, TIS company specialists will provide training and seminars at AzTU to people specializing in this field in Azerbaijan, as well as provide support in the direction of designing university facilities.

The "Open Door" day at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) in connection with the Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) ended on August 19. During the "Open Door" days, TAU vice-rector Mehmet Shimshir and representatives of partner universities answered the questions of the applicants. Applicants and their parents had the opportunity to obtain information about TAU's specialties and educational process. It should be noted that Middle East Technical University, Istanbul Technical University and Haccettepe University from Turkey, and Azerbaijan Technical University from Azerbaijan were involved in the teaching process at TAU. In the new academic year, computer engineering, industrial engineering, and food engineering specialties will be taught at the university. All majors will be taught in English.
