As part of the "Strengthening the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions" (ENGAGE) project, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Mingachevir State University, another training session was held in Portugal. The training was hosted by the University of Lisbon, a European partner of the project. Professor Nuraly Yusifbayli, the Vice Rector for Educational Affairs at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), represented the university during the visit. On the first day of the training program, Professor Zita Martins, Vice President for International Relations at the University of Lisbon, welcomed the delegation from nine Azerbaijani higher education institutions that are members of the project and discussed the importance of international collaboration in entrepreneurship education. Professor Joana Mendonça, Vice President of the Oeiras Municipality, highlighted the role of the university campus in supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and its contributions to both local and international innovation ecosystems. Next, the coordinator of the ENGAGE project presented a brief report on the project, outlining its objectives and planned activities for the participants. The delegation was introduced to the "Técnico Lisboa Doctoral School" and its approach to developing research and innovation. During the training, an open discussion on entrepreneurship education was held, allowing for an exchange of experiences. The "E.Awards" program, in which students presented their entrepreneurial projects, was also introduced. At the end of the training program, the delegation visited the Technology Laboratory and received detailed information about the Innovation Center and student laboratories.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Nəqliyyat logistikası və hərəkətin təhlükəsizliyi kafedrasının dosenti Eldar Əfəndiyev vəfat edib. Eldar Əfəndiyev 1969-cu ildən AzTU-nun Avtomobillər kafedrasında əmək fəaliyyətinə başlayıb, daha sonra fəaliyyətini Nəqliyyat logistikası və hərəkətin təhlükəsizliyi  kafedrasında müxtəlif vəzifələrdə davam etdirib.    60-a yaxın elmi, elmi-metodiki məqalənin müəllifi idi. AzTU-nun rəhbərliyi və kollektivi Eldar Əfəndiyevin vəfatından kədərlənir, ailəsinə və yaxınlarına başsağlığı verir. Allah rəhmət eləsin!

Vugar Huseynli, an employee of the "SmartTech" Innovators Center at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), was awarded for his exceptional contributions to the development of the ICPC movement during a symposium held within the framework of "ICPC Azerbaijan." The symposium included panel sessions on topics such as the impact of the ICPC movement, the influence of programming competitions on the IT industry, and their role in the country's digitalization efforts. Discussions focused on increasing student and youth interest in programming and IT fields. The high achievements of local universities in international competitions were also highlighted. AzTU's Rector, Vilayat Valiyev, met with Vugar Huseynli during the symposium, wishing him continued success in his work.

As part of the "Erasmus+ KA2" program, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner in the "Strategic Quality Management in Healthcare, Risk Management in Open and Distance Education Formats for Professional Bachelor's and Master's Preparation in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan" (LMQS) project. Recently, training sessions were held in Athens, Greece, at the coordinating institution, the University of West Attica. AzTU was represented by Orkhan Vatankhah, Head of the International Relations Department, and Murshud Mehdiyev, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Management, during the visit. In line with the new Master's program in "Quality and Risk Management in Healthcare," the training covered topics such as healthcare management, research methods, healthcare economics, healthcare financing, quality management in healthcare, healthcare policy, and social insurance. In addition to AzTU, representatives from local project partners, including Nakhchivan State University and universities from Kazakhstan, also participated in the event.

As part of the "Strengthening the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions" (ENGAGE) project, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Mingachevir State University, a business trip was organized to Poland. The visit took place from June 24 to 28 and was hosted by the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz. The main objective of the five-day training program was to study foreign experiences related to entrepreneurship initiatives and practices in higher education, in line with the project's goals. During the training, participants gained knowledge and experience on modern methods and mechanisms widely used in entrepreneurship development, including design thinking, building a Canvas business model, creating a social employment environment through entrepreneurial initiatives, personal branding, visual marketing, discovering individual potential, and the application of innovative teaching methods in entrepreneurship education. Additionally, as part of the training program, participants had the opportunity to visit the entrepreneurship entities in Bydgoszcz, as well as the Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technology Park. As a result of the training, university representatives worked on group projects related to their own business ideas and presented their work, engaging in extensive experience exchange. Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was represented at the training by Professor Fuad Ganbarov from the Department of International Trade, Logistics, and Marketing. At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded certificates by the University of Economics in Bydgoszcz.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universiteti (AzTU) ilə Milli Aerokosmik Agentliyi (MAKA) arasında əməkdaşlığa dair anlaşma memorandumu imzalanıb. Memorandumu AzTU-nun rektoru Vilayət Vəliyev və MAKA-nın baş direktoru Natiq Cavadov imzalayıblar. Sənədə əsasən, tərəflər müdafiə təyinatlı məhsulların yaradılmasının elmi-texniki və texnoloji problemlərini əhatə edən yeni mövzuların yazılması, o cümlədən universitet-sənaye işbirliyi istiqamətində əməkdaşlıq edəcəklər. Bundan başqa, tələbələrin MAKA-nın bazasında istehsalat təlimi və təcrübəsi keçmələri, elmi-tədqiqat işlərinin aparılması, MAKA-nın aparıcı mütəxəssislərinin AzTU-da tədris prosesinə, AzTU-nun professor-müəllim heyətinin isə MAKA-da elmi-tədqiqat, təcrübi-konstruktor və texnoloji layihələrin icrasına cəlb edilməsi nəzərdə tutulub.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), in collaboration with representatives from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, and the Department of Education System Informatization under the Ministry of Science and Education, has introduced a groundbreaking change regarding student registration. Starting this year, AzTU will no longer require paper-based documents from students admitted to the university (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs). All documents will be processed exclusively through the Ministry of Science and Education’s portal, portal.edu.az. Previously, while the registration process for higher education institutions was conducted through the portal.edu.az platform, universities still required paper-based documents from students in parallel. However, AzTU’s leadership decided to implement this innovation in order to save students time, reduce additional costs, minimize paper waste, and contribute to the country's ongoing digital transformation efforts. The goal is to enhance student convenience and support the development of a more sustainable and efficient system.

Türkiyənin Uşak Universitetinin rektoru professor Ekrem Savaş ölkəmizə səfəri çərçivəsində Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) qonağı olub. Qonaq AzTU-nun rektoru professor Viliayət Vəliyev və universitetin nümayəndələri ilə görüşüb. Rektor Vilayət Vəliyev AzTU-da görülən işlər və həyata keçirilən yeniliklər haqqında qonağa ətraflı məlumat verib. Ekrem Savaş Uşak Universitetinin fəaliyyəti barədə geniş məlumat verib. Görüşdə müvafiq istiqamətlər üzrə əməkdaşlıq imkanları müzakirə olunub. Görüşün sonunda hər iki universitet arasında əməkdaşlıq haqqında müqavilə imzalanıb.

İyulun 4-də Heydər Əliyev Mərkəzində “SABAH-ın məzunu – 2024” tədbiri keçirilib. Tədbirdə Prezident Administrasiyasının Humanitar siyasət, diaspor, multikulturalizm və dini məsələlər şöbəsinin müdiri Fərəh Əliyeva, elm və təhsil naziri Emin Əmrullayev, millət vəkilləri, dövlət və özəl qurumların rəsmiləri, ali təhsil müəssisələrinin rektorları, müəllim və tələbələr, eləcə də digər qonaqlar iştirak ediblər. Əvvəlcə tədbir iştirakçıları SABAH məzunlarının nailiyyətlərini əks etdirən sərgi ilə tanış olublar.  Tədbir Dövlət Himninin səsləndirilməsi ilə başlayıb, ardınca şəhidlərimizin xatirəsi birdəqiqəlik sükutla yad edilib.   Sonra çıxış edən elm və təhsil naziri Emin Əmrullayev qonaqları salamlayaraq "SABAH qrupları" layihəsinin mahiyyət və məqsədi barədə danışıb. Layihənin ali təhsildə yenilik istiqamətində nəzərdə tutulan hədəflərə doğru bir addım olduğunu vurğulayan Emin Əmrullayev qeyd edib ki, SABAH ali təhsil müəssisələrinə yeni yanaşma gətirib. Nazir əlavə edib ki, savadlı və bacarıqlı tələbələr üçün yaradılmış bu proqrama nəzər saldıqda uğurlu nəticələri görmək mümkündür.   Nazir həmçinin bildirib ki, SABAH qruplarının 10 illik fəaliyyəti ərzində yaratdığı fərqli imkanlar tələbələr arasında rəqabət formalaşdırıb. Gələcəkdə bu pilot layihənin genişləndirilməsinin zəruriliyinə toxunan elm və təhsil naziri çıxışının sonunda SABAH məzunlarını təbrik edib və sözügedən qrupların fəaliyyətinin Azərbaycanı gələcəkdə daha güclü dövlətə çevirəcəyinə inamını bildirib.   Ardınca isə SABAH-ın uğurlu məzunları ilə bağlı videoçarx nümayiş etdirilib.   Tədbirdə hər il təkrarlanan ənənə – rəmzi SABAH açarının növbəti ilin məzunlarına ötürülməsi mərasimi də keçirilib.   Daha sonra yüksək göstəriciləri ilə fərqlənən məzunlar ali təhsil müəssisələrinin rektorları tərəfindən təltif olunublar.  Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) rektoru professor Vilayət Vəliyev AzTU-nun “SABAH” qruplarından iki fəxri məzuna (Babayev Elsevər Rəsul oğlu, Şükürov Ehtiram Etibar oğlu) sertifikat təqdim edib.   Təltifetmə mərasimindən sonra “SABAH qrupları – 2024” mövzusunda videoçarx nümayiş etdirilib.   Tədbir çərçivəsində SABAH qrupları tələbələrinin ifasında musiqi nömrələri də səsləndirilib.   Tədbirin sonunda isə xatirə şəkli çəkdirilib.   Qeyd edək ki, 2023–2024-cü tədris ilində 31 ixtisas üzrə 727 bakalavr, 8 ixtisas üzrə 339 magistr SABAH qruplarından məzun olub. AzTU-nun “SABAH” qruplarından 172 tələbə məzun olub.

As part of the Technest Scholarship Program and with the support of "ICPC Azerbaijan" and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, the "ICPC Azerbaijan: Summer Programming Camp" was held at ADA University. The camp is considered one of the key stages for preparing students and student teams for the "49th ICPC International Collegiate Programming Contest," the Republic Subject Olympiad (RFO) for schoolchildren, and international informatics olympiads. During the preparation process, subjects related to the olympiad are explained daily, followed by competitions on these topics. Representatives from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) – Kenan Asgerli and Vugar Huseynli, employees of the "SmartTech" Innovators Center – successfully represented the university in the training sessions and competitions organized at the camp.
