An online meeting was held on expanding academic cooperation opportunities between the employees of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and European specialists in the field of biotechnology and robotics.
The meeting was attended by Professor Nuran Abdullayev, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Javid Abbasli, Senior Researcher of the Institute, and Sevinj Aliyeva, Researcher.
During the discussions, high-precision robotic systems used in minimally invasive medical interventions, their innovative architectures, real-time control solutions, and artificial intelligence integration capabilities were presented. The aforementioned technologies are considered to be innovative approaches that are at the forefront of modern medical science and have a wide application area in the technological development ecosystem of Europe.
During the meeting, new research directions based on artificial intelligence, implementation of joint projects, and initial cooperation opportunities for the adaptation of this type of robotic technologies in Azerbaijan were also discussed in detail in the AI-MED LAB laboratory operating under the Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
It should be noted that the Institute of Biomedical Engineering has set as a priority the expansion of international scientific relations, the transfer of advanced technologies to our country, and the creation of new opportunities for young researchers through such meetings.
