Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) successfully participated in the Baku Energy Week held at the Baku Expo Center on June 2–4, 2025.

The university's Mechatronics Department took part in the startup zone with its innovative project "Blue Energy - Smart Wave Energy Converter".

The startup, presented by the author of the project, Ilkin Aliyev, assistant professor of the Mechatronics Department, and student Eldar Darvishov, has aroused great interest from both local and international companies and resulted in a number of cooperation proposals.

The project aims to generate sustainable electricity using both vertical and horizontal movements of sea waves.
