Knowledge Day was celebrated for the students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Turkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU). At the event organized at AzTU, first, flowers were placed in front of the bust of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the lobby of the university. Later, the dear memory of the sons of the Motherland, who died for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our lands, was commemorated with a minute's silence. The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Turkey were played. Greeting the students, Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev wished them success in their studies and activities. He said that it is a proud event that AzTU and TAU students celebrate this year's Knowledge Day together. Rector thanked the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan- Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkiye- Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the establishment of Turkiye-Azerbaijan University. He noted that 86 students were admitted to the Turkiye-Azerbaijan University and the results of the admission were expected to be high. This university will further strengthen the relations between the two brotherly countries in the field of higher education, and will become one of the leading universities in the region in the relevant fields. Vilayat Valiyev also drew attention to the fact that relations between Turkish universities are being further developed every year. It should be noted that this year 2459 students were admitted to the undergraduate level of AzTU, and 1720 to the master's level. TAU vice-rector Mehmet Shimshir also wished success to the students during his speech. He said that in this newly established university, wide opportunities will be created for students, and staff will be prepared according to the requirements of the labor market. After the speeches, there was an award ceremony. Aytac Huseynli, who was admitted to TAU's computer engineering major with the highest score (684.9), Ugur Guliyev, who was admitted to the industrial engineering major with the highest score (657.5), and Zarifa Parashova, who was admitted to the food engineering major with the highest score (632.8), were awarded. Tunar Mammadli, who was admitted to AzTU with the highest score (dual degree program with Ankara University, computer engineering - 657.7), winner of the republican science Olympiad in mathematics, Fuad Atayev, who was admitted to AzTU out of competition, to the German engineering faculty (process automation engineering - 633.3) Nazir Malikov, who was admitted with the highest score, to the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science (chemical engineering - 626.6) Tamerlan Mirzayev, who was admitted with the highest score, and Hajar Safarli, who was admitted to the Faculty of Economics and Management (finance - 621.9) with the highest score, were among those awarded.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) rektoru Vilayət Vəliyev bu il universitetə 600-dən yuxarı balla qəbul olunan tələbələrlə görüşüb. AzTU Tələbə Həmkarlar İttifaqı Komitəsinin təşkilatçılığı ilə keçirilən görüşdə rektor hər bir tələbə ilə ayrıca tanış olub, onların qəbul balı və ixtisasları ilə maraqlanıb. Daha sonra universitetdə görülən işlər, beynəlxalq əlaqələr, tələbələrə yaradılan imkanlar barədə ətraflı məlumat verilib. Son illər AzTU-da həyata keçirilən yenilikləri izlədiklərini bildirən tələbələr burada təhsil almaqdan məmnunluq ifadə ediblər. Görüşdən sonra tələbələrə xüsusi hədiyyələr təqdim olunub.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Enerji Tədqiqatları İnstitutunun direktoru Qara Həsənov vəfat edib. Qara Həsənov Azərbaycan Politexnik İnstitutunu (indiki AzTU) bitirib. O, 1970-2024-ci illərdə AzTU-da baş laborant, baş müəllim, dosent, dekan müavini, kafedra müdiri vəzifələrində işləyib. 2022-ci ildən AzTU-nun Enerji Tədqiqatları İnstitutunun direktoru vəzifəsində çalışıb. 2011-ci ildə “Əməkdar Mühəndis” fəxri adına layiq görülüb. AzTU-nun rəhbərliyi və kollektivi Qara Həsənovun vəfatından kədərlənir, ailəsinə və yaxınlarına başsağlığı verir. Allah rəhmət eləsin!

"AzMobility" team of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was represented by "Smart traffic light" project at "TEKNOFEST-2024" held in Antalya, Turkey on September 5-8. The composition of the "AzMobility" team includes Fuad Dashdamirov, director of the Institute of Logistics and Transport, employees of the institute Turan Verdiyev, Ulvi Javadli, Royal Allahverdiyev, AzTU doctoral student Nuru Dashdemirli. Our team participated in the final stage of the "Smart (smart) transport" competition of "TEKNOFEST-2024" in the "University and higher level" category. The main goal of the project is the effective application of modern information technologies to minimize the delay times at road junctions. The project presented by the team was received with interest by many viewers who visited the ANFAŞ Antalya expo center. The "AzMobility" team was one of the 19 teams that competed in the final stage of the "Smart (smart) transport" competition. At this stage, together with AzTU "AzMobility" team, a total of 3 teams represented our country. t should be noted that the winners of the "Smart Transport" competition will be announced in the coming weeks. The awarding ceremony of the winners of the competition will be held in Adana, Turkey in October.

On September 6-8, a "summer school" was organized by the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers. 120 students of higher education institutions who are trade union activists, chairmen of student trade union committees and media representatives participated in the "summer school" organized in the "Tahsil" Recreation Center located in Nabran settlement of Khachmaz district. At the event, AzTU was represented by Mirmohammed Alakbarli-the chairman of the Committee of the Free Trade Union of Students  and activists. A conference on "Healthy people and sustainable future" was held on September 7 as part of the "Summer School". Araz Pashayev, the Chairman of the Republican Committee of the National Trade Union Confederation of Trade Unions, opened the event with an opening speech and noted that it has become a tradition to organize a "summer school" for students who are trade union activists in September of every year. This year's "summer school" is dedicated to the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World". By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2024 was declared the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in our country. During this year, various events are held in our republic. The main purpose of these events is to hold discussions on environmental protection, climate change prevention, environmental health, economical and efficient use of natural resources, and similar topics. Azerbaijan will host a prestigious event such as the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29. At this event, it is expected that important decisions will be made regarding the prevention of global environmental problems that concern the whole world. A. Pashayev noted that each of us as an individual must fulfill our civic duties responsibly in order to prevent the global environmental problems that worry the world. Then, chairpersons of student union committees, students who are union activists spoke at the conference, shared their views on the topic and gave their suggestions. Various sports competitions and intellectual games were also organized for students within the framework of the "Summer School".

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) təşkilatçılığı və DAAD-nin (Alman Akademik Mübadilə Xidməti) “Şərqə Get” proqramı çərçivəsində “Multikultural Şəraitlərdə Mühəndislik Bacarıqlarının İnkişafı” adlı “yay məktəbi”nin tələbələrinin “Bakı Gəmiqayırma Zavodu”na səfəri təşkil edilib. Zavodun Təlim Mərkəzinin təşkil etdiyi səfər çərçivəsində “yay məktəbi”ndə iştirak edən tələbələrə əvvəlcə müəssisənin fəaliyyəti haqqında təqdimatlar və videosüjetlər şəklində ətraflı məlumat verilib. Daha sonra onlar üçün sahə gəzintisi təşkil edilib. Tələbələr Xəzər dənizinin ən müasir tərsanəsində təmir gəmisinin göyərtəsi, kəsim sexi, təmir prosesinə nəzarət sistemləri ilə tanış olub, iş prosesləri barədə məlumat alıblar. Layihənin məqsədinə uyğun olaraq tələbələr üçün Təlim Mərkəzində qaynaq, kəsim və yanğınsöndürmə əməliyyatları nümayiş etdirilib. Həmçinin “yay məktəbi”nin proqramına uyğun olaraq tələbələrin birbaşa iştirakı ilə qeyd edilmiş sahə işləri praktiki icra olunub.    

6 students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) will study abroad in the framework of the "Erasmus+ KA171" exchange program in the fall semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Thus, Mir Ismail Sadigov and Ziyad Muradov, second-year students of the Faculty of Information and Telecommunication Technologies, are at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, Nihad Bekirli and Huseyin Murtuzov, third-year students of the same faculty, are at Istanbul Gedik University and Atatürk University, respectively, Vagif, a third-year student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics. Hashimov at the Rzeszow University of Technology in Poland, Shukur Aliyev, a master's student at the Institute of Higher Education, at the Technical University of Brandenburg, Germany for one semester have earned the right.  Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev met with the students and wished them success in their studies and future activities.

A cooperation agreement was signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Education Development Fund (EDF) within the framework of the "Student Plus" project. The adminstration of AzTU and EDF, representatives of Kapital Bank took part in the signing ceremony. Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev said that the "Student Plus" card will be one of the most important projects for students and thanked the foundation for such an initiative. Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TIF, said that all students can take advantage of the concessions and discounts applied on the project. Within the framework of the project, 150,000 student cards are initially planned to be put into use.

Pakistana səfər çərçivəsində AzTU rektoru Vilayət Vəliyev və beynəlxalq əlaqələr üzrə prorektor Fariz Məmmədov Azərbaycanın Pakistandakı fövqəladə və səlahiyyətli səfiri Xəzər Fərhadovla görüşüblər. Görüşdə səfirliyin və Pakistanın Milli Elm və Texnologiya Universitetinin (NUST) nümayəndələri də iştirak edib. Səfir Xəzər Fərhadov səfirliyin fəaliyyəti, həmçinin qardaş ölkələr Pakistan və Azərbaycanın dostluğu, iqtisadi və humanitar sahələrdə əməkdaşlığı barədə geniş məlumat verib. Eyni zamanda o, bütün sahələrdə olduğu kimi, ali təhsil sahəsində də iki qardaş ölkə arasında əməkdaşlığın genişləndirilməsini, ölkələrin ali təhsil müəssisələrinin tədris və tədqiqat sahəsində birgə fəaliyyətlərinin qarşılıqlı faydalılığı baxımından vacibliyini vurğulayıb. Bu sahədə də səfirliyin hərtərəfli və geniş iş apardığını diqqətə çatdırıb.

 "Summer school" called "Development of Engineering Skills in Multicultural Conditions" has started its work under the organization of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) "Go East" program. "Summer school" hosted by AzTU will last until September 14. A special two-week program brought together 18 students from Azerbaijan and Germany to expand their knowledge in the field of engineering and acquire practical skills in real work conditions. 8 students from various German universities and 10 students from AzTU participated in the "Summer School". During two weeks, students will participate in various seminars, work as a team on various projects based on the 3D (Design, Fix and Run) working principle at AzTU's MGP Workshop - 3D Printer Center equipped with modern technologies.
