A meeting was held at the State Agency for Science and Higher Education with a delegation led by the rector of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev. A number of priority issues, strengthening scientific and research activities, increasing the level of internationalization and other areas within the framework of preparations for the new academic year were discussed at the meeting. Director of the Agency Ulkar Sattarova noted that these issues are of great importance in terms of strengthening the reputation of universities on a global scale and increasing their competitiveness.

Rector Vilayat Valiyev provided information about the university’s strategic development plan, goals and planned activities.

Also, during the meeting, issues related to the use of advanced scientometric tools, increasing the number of foreign teachers and students, supporting students studying within the framework of international education grants and intergovernmental scholarship programs, participation in prestigious international academic events, as well as the development of secondary specialized education institutions operating under AzTU were discussed.
