Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva and head of Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva participated in a coastal cleaning campaign in Bilgah.

Active members of the Student Youth Organization (TGT) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) also participated in the campaign organized by IDEA Public Union. About five tons of waste collected during the campaign were delivered to the Balakhani solid waste sorting plant of "Temiz Shahar" OJSC.

The main goal of the campaign is to promote cleanliness on the seashore and involve people in joint efforts to protect the marine environment.

The next campaign was organized in the section of the Vilashchay River that passes through the Istisu village of Masalli district. AzTU students were among the volunteers participating in the campaign.

They were provided with special clothing, gloves and other necessary equipment to protect personal health and safety, as well as to organize activities more effectively. The total volume of waste collected was about 1 ton, and most of it was single-use plastic products, which seriously pollute the soil and water ecosystem. The organized clean-up campaigns are not limited to just collecting waste, but are also of great importance in terms of sustainability and preserving the ecological balance.

IDEA Public Union calls on citizens to be sensitive to environmental protection while relaxing on the beaches, to keep the coast clean, to behave responsibly by not throwing waste around, and not to leave the waste generated in the area.
