The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has met with faculty members participating in international scientific research and academic exchange programs. The meeting focused on reviewing recent achievements, evaluating current cooperation initiatives, and outlining future directions within the university’s international academic partnerships. According to the information presented, during the last month, 74 AzTU staff members and 14 students took part in research, academic exchange, seminars, and internship programs at 15 partner universities in Türkiye, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. These collaborations resulted in initial agreements on the implementation of joint projects, bilateral research initiatives, preparation of scholarly publications, and the development of new academic programs. During the meeting, participants discussed the expansion of AzTU’s international partnership network, increasing access to overseas academic and research opportunities for faculty and students, and establishing joint laboratories and research centers with foreign institutions. The Rector emphasized that one of AzTU’s primary objectives is to transform these collaborations into sustainable cooperation mechanisms and measurable academic outcomes. Attendees shared proposals regarding future priorities, improvement of partnership mechanisms, and new opportunities for cooperation. AzTU’s leadership reaffirmed that strengthening international engagement remains a strategic priority for the university and noted that activities in this direction will continue to advance.

Representatives of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) met with Associate Professor Mehmet Akkash, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Kahramanmarash Istiklal University in Türkiye. Dean of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology, Associate Professor Yadullah Babayev, provided information about Mehmet Akkash's scientific and pedagogical activities. He noted that the academic experience formed in the direction of educational plans and subject programs for engineering specialties in Turkish higher education institutions is of great importance for the relevant specialties of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology. Mehmet Akkaş emphasized the importance of improving the educational plans and subject syllabus for the specialties of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology based on international approaches, and shared his views on the practice-oriented renewal of the educational content and the expansion of laboratory capabilities.

A delegation led by the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev paid a working visit to the universities of the Republic of Turkey. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the expansion of existing cooperation with Turkish universities, joint research, and the implementation of dual diploma programs. Rector Vilayat Valiyev held meetings with the rectors of Gebza Technical University, Sakarya University, and Sakarya University of Applied Sciences in Gebza and Sakarya cities and other management staff. During the meetings, the rector provided information about the projects implemented at AzTU and emphasized his interest in cooperation in the implementation of bilateral research projects, mutual teacher-student exchange, implementation of international and regional projects, publication of joint scientific articles, and implementation of dual scientific supervision for master's and doctoral students. Within the framework of the visit, the delegation also held meetings at the Sakarya Provincial National Education Department and visited the Motor Vehicle Vocational School of the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. A delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) paid a working visit to Istanbul Technical University, Yildiz Technical University, Bahcheshehir University, and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBİTAK) Informatics and Information Security Research Center (BILGEM). The delegation included Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Ramiz Aliguliyev, Director of the Institute of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Rahid Alakbarli, Director of the Institute of Defense Technologies and Cybersecurity, Yadigar Imamverdiyev, Head of the Cybersecurity Department, and Atif Namazov, Head of the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence. During the meetings at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Yıldız Technical University and Bahcheshehir University, agreements were reached on expanding the existing cooperation between the mentioned universities and AzTU in the fields of education and research, including the implementation of a dual diploma program, joint scientific research in the fields of cybersecurity, cryptography, data science and artificial intelligence, publication of joint scientific articles, mutual exchange of researchers, joint doctoral training, and exploring opportunities for dual scientific supervision for master's and doctoral students. During the meetings with TUBİTAK BİLGEM, the AzTU delegation was informed about the projects implemented by BİLGEM in cybersecurity, cryptography, data analysis and artificial intelligence. The parties discussed the possibilities of joint specialist training in the mentioned areas and joint service provision to industrial enterprises. The delegation also got acquainted with the relevant research centers of BİLGEM.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security (SCIS), a series of master classes are organized for AzTU students every semester. The next master class was held on the topic of “Digital Forensics: Ensuring Reliable Evidence in Cybersecurity and Legal Processes”. During the speech, the participants were informed about the processes of collecting, protecting and analyzing digital evidence, ensuring the integrity and immutability of evidence, applying digital forensics approaches during incidents, as well as international standards and methodologies for maintaining the legal force of digital artifacts. At the same time, the role of forensic processes in investigating cybersecurity incidents and the importance of strengthening institutional capacity in this area were emphasized. Students and faculty of the Cybersecurity Department of AzTU participated in the master class.

First-year students of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology took part in an excursion to the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan. The excursion, which was also attended by Amin Mamedov, Deputy Dean for Social Issues, Public Relations and Infrastructure of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology, and Sonakhanim Imamova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanities, provided students with information about the stages of development of Azerbaijan's history from the most ancient times to the present. The museum presented students with a rich collection of exhibits reflecting important historical events, statehood traditions, cultural heritage and national values ​​of Azerbaijan.

On December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year, a group of foreign students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) visited children from families deprived of parental care and with physical disabilities. The main goal of the visit was to provide moral support to the children, establish sincere communication with them, and bring joy to the little ones in need of care and attention. During the event, which took place in a festive atmosphere, foreign students organized a musical and entertaining program for the children, played various games, and provided them with pleasant moments. At the end of the event, the children were presented with holiday gifts.

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held a training on the topic “Artificial Intelligence: Responsible and ethical artificial intelligence, protection of personal data during the application of artificial intelligence systems” for students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of AzTU. Head of the Electronic Security Service Khayala Babayeva spoke about the purpose of the training, the work done in the field of artificial intelligence and data protection in Azerbaijan, as well as the role of future engineers and programmers in innovation. Later, representatives of the Electronic Security Service Zeynab Aliyeva and Rauf Ibishov provided detailed information about the introduction to artificial intelligence, the Artificial Intelligence Academy and training programs, “AI” projects implemented in the country, as well as “deepfake” technologies and ways to prevent them. The event continued with an interactive question-and-answer session.

Employees of “Capital Security” CJSC, which operates in the security service of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), have been awarded. Thus, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev congratulated the security service staff on December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year. He also awarded them with an honorary diploma for their effective activities during the year.

A training on the topic “21st Century Skills for the Labor Market” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The training, dedicated to the formation of knowledge and skills in accordance with the modern requirements of the labor market, was conducted by Ilkana Amirova, an ICF-standard career development coach and TOT certified trainer. During the session, students were provided with detailed information on the main skills required by employers, career planning, personal development, adaptability, effective communication and critical thinking. The training, which was conducted in an interactive format, answered questions of interest to the participants.
