Representatives of Schneider Electric held a series of meetings at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and representatives of the university.
The main purpose of the meetings was to determine the future directions of cooperation between AzTU and Schneider Electric and to implement joint engineering training programs.
During the first stage of the meeting, which was attended by the delegation led by Bihter Gonenli, Country Director of Schneider Electric for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan, information was provided on the company's joint projects with AzTU, its work in the field of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as the activities, commitments and cooperation concept to be implemented jointly with the university.
In the second stage of the meeting, Tayfur Aydin, Head of the Engineering, Consulting and Training team of Schneider Electric for Turkey and Central Asia, made a presentation and spoke about the importance of preparing a roadmap for practical engineering training programs in the field of electricity generation, and forming a team that thinks about sustainable solutions, analyzes and does real work. The company's employees also spoke about new opportunities for quality service and smart use of energy in the digital age in electricity production.
Rector Vilayat Valiyev said that increasing the number of teaching laboratories for the new academic year, carrying out real work there in cooperation with industry, training students as qualified personnel for industry, as well as bringing research work to the highest level are among the goals of AzTU. The rector emphasized that cooperation with the company "Schneider Electric" will be beneficial for AzTU students specializing in electricity.
During the meetings, issues such as exchange and internship programs for students within the framework of joint cooperation were also discussed.
