The next graduation day of the “Code Academy” project “Code For Future” was held. Opening the event with an introductory speech, the head of the AzTU SABAH groups Ayten Sadigova said that the “Code for Future” project plays an important role in the professional development of students. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications Ayten Movsumova congratulated the graduates and emphasized that they will be able to make innovations in the country's technology sector by developing the knowledge and skills gained within the project in their future lives. Asya Rustamova, the general coordinator of the “Code for Future” project, Tugrul Kapucuoglu, the general director of business development of “Code Academy” and the head of the Academic Department, congratulated the graduates and wished the students success. It was noted that the third and fourth course students of AzTU applied to the “bootcamps” on the basics of programming and cybersecurity within the project, then first semester classes were held for the selected students, and as a final project, the students prepared their practical projects within 21 days. Ulvi Safarli, a leading project management specialist at Code Academy, noted that over the course of two semesters, AzTU students have earned 207 international certificates (Certiport - HTML and CSS, Certiport - Networking, Cisco CCST Networking, Cisco CCST Cybersecurity, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet Certified Fundamentals, Fortinet Certified Associate, CompTIA Core 1, CompTIA Core 2, RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)), which is not easy. Then, AzTU students, who are the authors of the best projects, made presentations. AzTU information technology student Orkhan Karimov presented the https://lix.az/ project and said that the site is a platform for shortening links and providing digital support to various organizations and businesses. AzTU information security and process automation engineering students Nihad Alizadeh and Togrul Hajiyev presented the “Zabux Logistics” project designed to solve cybersecurity and logistics issues for the city of Lachin. Mirhuseyn Talibzadeh, a third-year computer engineering student at AzTU, presented the “Voxafly” project, emphasizing that here, with the support of artificial intelligence, people can book tickets for travel in voice form, obtain various information and recommendations about flights and air travel. The implementation of the “Code Academy” project “Code For Future”, implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, was first launched at AzTU in 2021. Within the framework of the project, a total of 1,211 students received education at AzTU, formed themselves as personnel in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and gained a number of advantages.  At the end of the event, 247 AzTU students who graduated from the “Code For Future” project in the 2023-2024 spring and 2024-2025 fall semesters were presented with diplomas (150 people), high honors diplomas (35 people), honors diplomas (61 people), and certificates of participation.

An information session dedicated to the opportunities for online learning of the German language was organized for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The session was conducted by Claudio Kasperl, a German language teacher at AzTU. During the information session, Claudio Kasperl presented the modern and interactive German language course called “Nicos Weg” to the students. This course, which covers the German language from level A1 to level B1, was developed by the German international broadcasting organization DW (Deutsche Welle) and is offered completely free of charge over the Internet. The fact that the course is available in Turkish, Russian and several other languages ​​makes it more accessible and understandable for students. At the session, Ilaha Agazade, an employee of the university who is currently an intensive user of the “Nicos Weg” course, shared her experience. She informed the students about the benefits of the course in the daily learning process and how to take advantage of its opportunities. During the session, Claudio Kasperl provided students with detailed information about the course structure, usage, and individual learning opportunities, noting that this interactive tool is a useful resource for students interested in learning German outside of class. At the end, students' questions were answered.

A delegation led by the rector of the Turkish Aeronautical University of Turkey, Professor Rahmi Er, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with the rector of AzTU, Professor Vilayat Veliyev. The meeting was attended by the vice-rector of the Turkish-Azerbaijani University (TAU), Professor Mehmet Simshir, and representatives of AzTU. Expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality, the rector of the Turkish Aeronautical University, Rahmi Er, provided information about the work carried out at his university. Expressing his satisfaction with seeing the guests at AzTU, the rector Vilayat Veliyev spoke about the possibility of cooperation between the two universities in relevant areas. The meeting also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

Professor Woojik Chun from South Korea, who works at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), held a seminar on "Research directions in ID-based communications" for university employees. The seminar was attended by professors and staff working in the field of information technologies. Discussions were held at the end of the seminar on the topic. It should be noted that Professor Chun has been teaching at AzTU since September 2024. He is working at AzTU within the framework of the "World Friends of Korea (WFK) Consultants Program" of the National Information Technology Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea, with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

A professional development seminar and webinar on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization in German Language Teaching” was held for school and university teachers under the organization of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the DLV Public Union “Teachers Teaching German in Azerbaijan”. The seminar and webinar were presented by Claudio Kasperi and Latifa Gurbanova. During the 6-hour meeting, a wide exchange of views was held on the more effective application of artificial intelligence tools such as “ChatGPT” in the teaching process, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence into traditional teaching approaches. As a result of the seminar, the participants developed individual teaching plans by integrating the methods and approaches they acquired into their lessons. At the end, the participants were presented with certificates.

The next workshop was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) within the framework of the “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture” project organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. The event is of great importance in terms of expanding digital approaches in the agricultural sector and promoting knowledge exchange between specialists in various fields. Speaking at the event, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized the need to integrate agriculture with high technologies in the modern era. He noted that such projects create a bridge between science, technology and production and contribute to the country's sustainable food security. Anar Jafarov, Director of the Agrarian Innovation Center, said that the project will enable farm owners to make more accurate, more flexible and resource-saving decisions by using artificial intelligence tools. He noted that ensuring the sustainability of the project and achieving practical results in real farms are priorities. A video clip reflecting the activities of the Agrarian Innovation Center was presented during the workshop. This was followed by speeches from experts in various fields.

The final stage of the "GreenTech II" startup and green technologies competition was held in Ganja, organized by the Azerbaijan University of Technology (ATU), the Education Development Fund (EDF), and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA). 80 teams from 30 universities of the country competed in 4 categories (Digital Ecology, Robotics, Green Transport Technologies, and Social Innovations for Sustainable Development). 2 teams represented Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) in the "GreenTech" startup and green technologies competition. The "City Mobility" team, which included second- and third-year students of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics of AzTU, was awarded second place in the "Green Transport Technologies" category. The mentor of the winning project, titled "Prospects for the Implementation of the Micromobility Plan in Small Cities" (on the Example of the City of Bilasuvar), is Allahverdi Sharifov, Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics of AzTU. After the jury's evaluation, the winning teams were awarded certificates and valuable gifts.

The next info session of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (AKM) was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the info session, registration was announced open for the VI wave of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (AKM) trainings, which were jointly established by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (RINN), the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDIA) and the Israeli “Technion” Institute of Technology. Ayten Sadiqova, head of the SABAH groups of AzTU, spoke about the importance of developing the field of cybersecurity. She said that the AzTU administration attaches great importance to this field and that all conditions have been created at the university to improve the knowledge and skills of students in this area. AKM mentor Sanan Novruzlu provided detailed information about the current cyber threats in the world and in the country, their damage, theft of state-important data, as well as cyber attacks on private sector data. He stated that the purpose of conducting AKM trainings is to form the knowledge and skills of cybersecurity personnel in the country at the highest level. AKM mentor Sakhavat Abdiyev provided AzTU students with detailed information about AKM. He said that a total of 360 people are planned to be trained for the first 6 waves of AKM, 240 people have graduated from the first 4 waves, and currently the trainings of the 5th wave are about to end. All graduates represent the center in both state institutions and the private sector. The representative of the center called on AzTU students to be active and join the last 6th wave of the trainings. Registration for the trainings will be completed on May 7. AKM mentor Osman Aliyev emphasized during the info session that the trainings conducted by the Center are based on the training program of the Israeli Technion Institute of Technology and it is planned to train 60 specialists for each training period. The center's employee noted that the team of foreign trainers checks the level of English, IT skills, psychological state of the participants who applied for the training, and also tests their interview skills. As a result, candidates who successfully passed all stages are given 6-month training in the "Blue team" (defense) and "Red team" (attack). Those who successfully complete the training are given an official certificate from the "Technion" Institute. Finally, representatives of the AKM answered questions of interest to AzTU students.

On April 17, 2025, a seminar on the ISO 21001:2018 – Management System for Educational Organizations Standard was organized at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) by the Quality Association. The event brought together active participation from staff members representing various faculties and structural units of the university. The main objective of the seminar was to provide detailed information to participants about the core principles, structure, and implementation mechanisms of the ISO 21001:2018 standard, as well as to emphasize its role in the development and enhancement of quality assurance systems in higher education institutions. During the seminar, presentations were delivered by experts from the Quality Association, showcasing real-world examples and discussing the practical significance of the standard. Participants also engaged in discussions focused on the potential for implementing ISO 21001:2018 at AzTU, and their questions were addressed by the presenters. At the end of the event, the Quality Assurance Department of AzTU conducted a feedback survey to assess the effectiveness of the seminar. The insights gathered will serve as a reference for improving the quality of future training and awareness activities. Such educational events play a vital role in strengthening the culture of quality at the university, promoting the adoption of international standards, and ensuring continuous institutional development.

The final stage of the “Bebras” Informatics and Algorithmic Thinking Competition was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the joint organization of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA), the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARTI), the Institute of Information Technologies and Methodological Support of AzTU and “Learn by yourself” LLC. The main goal of the competition is to increase students' interest in the field of information technologies and computer science through interactive tasks. The algorithmic thinking and computer skills of 418 students participating in the final round of the competition were tested and automatically evaluated. The competition was held through the portal https://bebras.az/ and participants were given 45 minutes to answer questions. The final - super-final stage of the competition will be held in June 2025.
