An info session on the “Brainzy” mobile application was held for students at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the presentation, detailed information was provided on the main capabilities, usage rules and development prospects of the “Brainzy” mobile application. It was noted that introducing the mobile application among students is an important step in terms of expanding the future user audience. Students raised questions that interested them about the mobile application.

Professor Vagif Hasanov, Head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Technologies of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), conducted a training for the employees of the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI). The training, held on the topic of “Publishing Articles in the Scopus Database”, provided detailed information on the process of publishing scientific articles in international databases, especially in “Scopus” indexed journals, requirements and successful publication strategies. The participants were informed about the preparation of scientific research papers, the structure, writing, layout and presentation of the article, as well as the selection of a suitable journal. At the end of the training, certificates were presented to the participants.

A large-scale event was held in Azerbaijan for the first time as part of the International Coaching Week, held under the slogan “Inspire, Change, Flourish” by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). A series of events held annually in different countries around the world as part of the International Coaching Week aims to demonstrate the positive impact of coaching on people, organizations and societies. It began with the the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event was attended by officials representing various fields, parliamentarians, heads of higher education institutions and leading experts in the field of coaching. Welcoming the guests, the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev emphasized the importance of coaching in modern education and management processes, noting that this field plays an important role in both individual and organizational development. Speaking at the event, the chairwoman of the International Coaching Federation Ebru Kaya Caymaz emphasized the role that coaching plays in revealing individual potential and in building people’s self-confidence. ICF Events Director Ayten Shikhaliyeva also touched upon important details in the preparation and implementation of this event, stating that the local and international coaches promotes mutual learning. She expressed that this initiative will continue  and that the spread of the coaching approach will greatly benefit our society. Members of the Milli Majlis Arzu Naghiyev, Parvin Karimzadeh and Sevinj Huseynova also spoke at the event. They emphasized the importance of coaching in terms of the well-being of society, the development of education and the strengthening of human capital, and noted the importance of supporting this field. A total of 14 speakers spoke at the event, which continued with two panel discussions and speaker speeches. The speakers included executives from public and private enterprises and well-known coaches. The panel discussions featured deep and interesting ideas on topics such as the role of coaching in individual and organizational development, leadership, motivation and change management. During the event, the sponsors were officially thanked and their support was highly appreciated. At the end of the event, the organizers also held an interesting gift-giving ceremony among the participants. 10 participants, whose names were drawn from a glass jar based on a previously prepared list, were presented with special gifts by the sponsoring companies. The event was met with great interest and high appreciation by the participants. This initiative of the International Coaching Federation is considered an indicator of the growing interest in the field of coaching in Azerbaijan and the development potential of this field.

The 2nd International Economic and Administrative Research Conference was held in Turkey, jointly organized by Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University and Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The conference, organized within the framework of the joint cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Tokat Gaziosmanpasha University and the Department of Economics and Statistics of AzTU, discussed various fields of economic and administrative sciences. Presentations were made at the event on the topics of banking and finance, labor economics and industrial relations, econometrics, economics, statistics, business management, public administration, finance and international economic relations. AzTU was represented at the conference by associate professors of the Department of Economics and Statistics - Director of the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development Natavan Namazova and Director of the School of Lifelong Learning Aynura Ismayilova.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Jafar Jabbarli's house-museum jointly organized an event titled "Museums are our history" dedicated to May 18 - International Museum Day. A traveling exhibition of the museum was also organized as part of the event. AzTU faculty and student staff, museum and library staff participated in the event. The traveling exhibition prepared by Jafar Jabbarli's house-museum, reflecting the rich literary heritage of the great playwright, used interesting materials and a rich photo archive reflecting different periods of the writer's life and creativity. Extensive information was presented about his works in various literary genres, as well as his activities in various fields of culture. Among the exhibition materials, Jafar Jabbarli's literary examples kept secret from the general readership for many years ("The Conquest of Edirne", "The Battle of Tripoli"), as well as his political activities (1923-1927), and a number of facts about his prison work were brought to attention. Speaking at the event, Gamar Seyfaddingizi, the director of Jafar Jabbarli's house-museum and the grandson of the great playwright, told the students about Jafar Jabbarli's great contributions to the development of Azerbaijani literature and culture, his active participation in the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-1920), and his prison issue. Habib Mirzayev, the head of the AzTU Department of Humanitarian Sciences, spoke about the writer's work in various important fields of art, along with literary creativity, and about the writer's recognition as a talented translator and film figure. AzTU students Sarkhan Mikayilli, Durna Hasanli, and Janpolad Guliyev recited the playwright's poems "Ana", "Men bir susmaz goguyam ki" and "Azerbaijani flag". AzTU graduate, young singer Farhad Rahimli performed the songs "Gerak günsul dağları aşıb sonmayaydi" and "Hayat sən kiminsən" written to the words of the writer. A film about the life and work of the great artist was screened at the event.

Also, during the meetings with the heads of the structural divisions of both universities, specific directions for future cooperation were identified. During the meetings, opinions were exchanged on the development of cooperation between universities, implementation of joint projects, exchange of students and teachers, joint scientific publications and participation in international programs. The visit is of great importance for the departments in terms of strengthening international scientific relations and exchanging experience in the application of innovative technologies in the field of engineering.

On May 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the XXX Anniversary Azerbaijan International Food Industry - “InterFood Azerbaijan” and the XVIII Azerbaijan International Agriculture - “Caspian Agro” exhibitions at the Baku Expo Center. The “InterFood Azerbaijan” and “Caspian Agro” exhibitions, which have already become national brands, are the largest exhibitions in the Caspian region in the fields of agriculture and food industry. The geography of the exhibitions is quite extensive, covering many parts of the world. Leading agricultural producers from the USA, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkey and other countries demonstrate their products here. Within the framework of the exhibition, President Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the stand of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Seljan Karimli, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of AzTU, informed President Ilham Aliyev about the “Nutlab” project. He noted that the project was developed within the framework of joint cooperation between “AREA Azerbaijan” LLC and AzTU. The device, which has given impetus to the development of agricultural aggregates in Azerbaijan and operates under the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand, is subsidized by the state and operates with a 15 horsepower diesel engine. The device, which is intended for the development of hazelnut farming, not only collects hazelnuts, but also has functionalities such as haymaking and silage, potato harvesting and land grading. It was noted that the processing process of the device will be further improved in the laboratories of AzTU.

Students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) are represented with their startups at the XXX Anniversary Azerbaijan International Food Industry - “InterFood Azerbaijan” and XVIII Azerbaijan International Agriculture - “Caspian Agro” exhibitions at the Baku Expo Center. Rector Vilayat Valiyev visited the AzTU stand. The rector, who was interested in the students' startups, wished them success.

Organized by the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the senior software engineer of Databricks, one of the world's largest companies in Big Data, Mahammad Valiyev, held a seminar on the "Apache Spark" software for AzTU students. The seminar, attended by students (bachelor, master, doctoral students) studying computer science, computer engineering, and information security, provided detailed information on the technology of operation of the internal components of the "Apache Spark" program (Execution model, stages, tasks), as well as methods of using them in solving various problems (analysis of audio, video files). In addition, storing large amounts of data in cloud technology (cloud storage, for example, Amazon S3) in the "Delta Lake" format, the principle of operation of the internal file format of "Delta Lake" and its comparison with other formats (Apache Iceberg) were explained.
