A memorandum of cooperation was signed between AzTU and Andersen LLC

A meeting was held with representatives of Andersen LLC at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev stressed the importance of implementing joint development programs in artificial intelligence, fintech and other relevant areas with the company. In addition, the importance of teacher training along with students was noted, and the possibilities of organizing Training for Trainers (TOT) programs were discussed. Adil Mansimov, Director of Andersen LLC for Azerbaijan, provided information about the one-year IT skills improvement program implemented by the company and intended for graduates. He also noted that internship opportunities have been created for 3rd and 4th year students at Andersen. The meeting discussed prospective cooperation opportunities in the direction of training personnel in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and expanding university-industry cooperation. In the end, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the parties.

The field visit of AQAS experts to AzTU has been successfully completed

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has achieved a significant achievement in ensuring the quality of higher education in line with international standards. The international accreditation process of 20 educational programs, including 10 bachelor's and 10 master's, implemented at the university by the prestigious German quality assurance agency AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programmes) has been completed. During the international program accreditation process, a delegation of AQAS international experts conducted 4 field visits to AzTU. The 20 educational programs participating in the accreditation process were grouped into four clusters according to their content and orientation. - Electrical Engineering – October 29-31, 2025 - Computer Engineering and Information Technologies – December 8-10, 2025 - Mechanical Engineering – January 14-16, 2026 - Transport and Logistics – January 21-22, 2026 During the accreditation, the content of the educational programs, compliance with the requirements of the labor market, the level of cooperation with the industry, the formation of students' practical skills, the teaching and learning process, the level of professionalism of the academic staff, the material and technical base, student-oriented approaches, assessment mechanisms, and the activity of the internal quality assurance system were comprehensively analyzed. During the assessment, AQAS experts positively assessed the reforms implemented at AzTU, the structuring of educational programs and the sustainable development-oriented approach, and made recommendations for improvement. It should be noted that programs accredited by AQAS are recognized in the European Higher Education Area. This will significantly contribute to the international recognition of AzTU graduates' diplomas, the expansion of student and teacher exchange, and the strengthening of the university's position in international rankings. The achieved result is a clear indicator of AzTU's policy of continuous quality assurance and purposeful steps taken towards integration with international standards. AzTU will continue its activities in the future, along the strategic development line, to expand the international accreditation of educational programs and further improve the quality of higher education. Teams with AzTU students participating won Startup Days

The Startup Days, held at the Incubation Center of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the participation of students from AzTU, Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and the National Aviation Academy (MAA), have successfully concluded. The event, organized in partnership with the “Startup Azerbaijan” platform, brought together young people interested in innovative ideas, mentors and experts for two days. On the opening day of the event, the head of the “Startup Azerbaijan” platform Osman Gunduz welcomed the participants with an opening speech. He shared his views on the development of the startup ecosystem in the country, the involvement of young people in innovative initiatives and the importance of such events. Then, AzTU Incubation Center Coordinator Azad Musayev provided information about the Startup Days program. On the first day of the event, a total of forty four startup ideas were presented by students. After short presentations, eight most promising ideas were selected as a result of voting and qualified for the next stage. Teams were formed on the selected ideas, and the preparation of initial prototypes and business models of the projects began. On the second day of the event, the formation of ideas, choosing the right direction, teamwork and development of presentation skills were assessed. At the end of the day, the teams demonstrated their projects in front of the jury in the form of 4-5 minute presentations. The projects were evaluated by the jury (Farid Kazimov, Samir Habibli, Rahid Alakbarli, Rasim Abdullayev, Rashad Aliyev) on the criteria of innovativeness, technical justification, implementation potential and business value. According to the results, the “Timeless History” team, consisting of AzTU and MAA students, took 1st place. The “Youth.az” and “Skill Match” teams, consisting of AzTU students, took 2nd place. The “Nexo” team, consisting of AzTU and TAU students, took 3rd place.

Professor Buket Akkoyunlu of Chankaya University, Turkey, held a seminar at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) on the topic "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Modern Education Standards". Representatives of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and 4th year students visited the "Alov" plant, which operates under the "Iglim Scientific-Production Enterprise" LLC. Before the meeting, the students were provided with detailed information about the main directions of the plant's activity, existing production capabilities, as well as technological processes applied in the field of defense industry. During the meeting with the director of the "Alov" plant, Kenan Mammadli, the director noted the importance of the existing cooperation between AzTU and the enterprise, and spoke about the importance of continuing these relations for both industry and higher education. Within this ranking, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has been represented for the first time, placing in the 1251+ range. A memorial event dedicated to the January 20 tragedy was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). First, the dear memory of the sons of the Motherland who gave their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of our lands was commemorated with a minute of silence. The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played. The head of the Department of Humanities of AzTU, Habib Mirzayev, said that the events of January 20 were written in the history of the Azerbaijani people as both a tragic and heroic page. 36 years ago - on the night of January 19-20, the brave sons of Azerbaijan sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the Motherland and rose to the peak of martyrdom.
