An official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Dithari Technologies to establish the DISC Innovation and Sustainability Lab. The signing ceremony took place at AzTU’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Corner, and this cooperation is considered an important step towards the development of circular IT practices and the promotion of sustainability in technology. The establishment of the new lab aims to contribute to strengthening innovation and environmental responsibility in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 12 — the principle of responsible consumption and production. As a leading company in the field of circular IT, Dithari Technologies supports the reduction of e-waste and the development of sustainable IT solutions through this initiative. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized the importance of this collaboration and said: “This initiative is an important step towards integrating sustainability with technological innovation. The DISC Innovation and Sustainability Lab will provide students with practical skills in the field of sustainable IT and will cultivate a generation of environmentally responsible innovators.” A representative of Dithari Technologies added: “Our main goal is to achieve e-waste reduction and create a long-term impact by promoting circular IT solutions. By collaborating with AzTU, we will further develop innovation and sustainability by combining our knowledge and experience with the academic potential of the university.” The main goal of the DISC Innovation and Sustainability Lab is to promote circular IT practices, manage e-waste, and instill innovation skills in students. The lab also aims to create a sustainable framework for recycling and refurbishing IT equipment. AzTU will provide modern infrastructure and space for the laboratory, encourage active participation of students in projects, and provide administrative support. The establishment of the DISC Innovation and Sustainability Laboratory reflects a modern educational approach that combines technology, sustainability, and innovation to prepare students for the changing demands of the global economy.

An event called "Novruz Song" was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) jointly organized by the Trade Union Committee (TUC), the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), and the Student Youth Organization. Firstly, stands of faculties and student organizations were displayed on the occasion of the Novruz holiday. Expressing his congratulations on the occasion of Novruz, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the history of this beloved national holiday and its symbol of national unity and solidarity. He emphasized that organizing such national holidays and celebrations also instills in the younger generation a commitment to national traditions. The rector also spoke about the successes of AzTU in recent years and the projects implemented at the university to train modern engineering personnel. Later, letters of appreciation were presented to students who demonstrated activity in the university's public life. After the official part, the event continued with a concert program.

A meeting was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with representatives of the Turkish company "Argemsan", which is engaged in the production of laboratory equipment. Opportunities for technical cooperation between the parties, the provision of laboratories in various specialties, as well as the implementation of joint projects was discussed in the meeting. In the end, the parties agreed to continue working meetings to determine future directions of cooperation.

An event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).The event, organized by AzTU's Turkish students, was attended by the university's faculty and students.Habib Mirzayev, head of the Department of Humanities, and Afag Zeynalova and Arzu Khalilzadeh, associate professors of the department, spoke about the historical significance of the Battle of Çanakkale and the national spirit created by this victory.Poems on the theme of heroism were recited at the event, and musical numbers reflecting the spirit of patriotism were presented.

Elm və Təhsil Nazirliyi, Azərbaycan Respublikasının Təhsil İnstitutunun (ARTİ) təşkilatçılğı və Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Təhsildə İnformasiya Texnologiyaları və Metodik Dəstək İnstitutunun dəstəyi ilə “Proqramlaşdırma yaz düşərgəsi”nə seçim turu keçirilib. Məqsəd beynəlxalq yarışlarda (IOI EJOI, EGOI) ölkəmizi təmsil edəcək məktəblilərdən ibarət komandaları müəyyən etmək və onların hazırlığını təşkil etməkdir. Seçim turunda 50-yə yaxın 8, 9, 10 və 11-ci sinif şagirdləri iştirak edib. İştirakçılara 4 saat ərzində 3 alqoritmik məsələni C++ proqramlaşdırma dilində həll etmək tapşırığı verilib. Qiymətləndirmə avtomatik qiymətləndirmə sistemi ilə aparılıb.

An awareness-raising event was organized jointly by the Electronic Security Service (ESS) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). With a total of 200 participants, the event featured talks by ESS staff on 'Cybersecurity in the Online Environment' and 'The Basics of Cybersecurity.' The goal of the event was to educate young people about information security, cybersecurity, and the use of social media, with a focus on raising awareness in higher education institutions.

Former President of Latvia Andris Berzins, who is visiting our country to participate in the 12th Global Baku Forum on the theme "Rethinking the World Order: Turning Challenges into Opportunities" held under the patronage of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, was a guest of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).The guest met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and university representatives.Rector Vilayat Valiyev provided information about the work done and projects implemented at AzTU.He stated that AzTU is interested in expanding cooperation with Latvian universities.Former President of Latvia Andris Berzins, in turn, noted that he would support the development of cooperation between leading technical universities in Latvia and AzTU.As part of the meeting, the guest watched a video presentation reflecting the activities of AzTU.

A delegation led by the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, visited "Azertechnolayn" LLC.The delegation was also attended by Mehmet Simshir, Vice-Rector of the Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU). Welcoming the guests, the company's director Vugar Izzetli provided detailed information about the company's activities and production capabilities.AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev, in turn, spoke about the reforms and innovations implemented at the university.He emphasized the importance of university-industry cooperation and noted the importance of joint personnel training and exchange of experience.At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of agreement was signed between AzTU and "Azertechnolayn" LLC.The memorandum envisages organizing industrial internships at the company for students studying in various specialties, as well as holding joint trainings and seminars for the professional development of specialists.In addition, conducting joint scientific research in metallurgy, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, energy, automation, nanotechnology, and other modern engineering fields and improving production processes through this research are among the main goals.At the same time, the main directions of cooperation include the development and implementation of innovative educational programs to train qualified personnel in accordance with the needs of the enterprise, the development of new technological solutions in the industrial field, the search for solutions to production problems with scientific approaches, and the organization of mutual visits between university and industry employees.

An online scientific seminar was held with graduate students involved in scientific research practice at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering operating under the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The seminar, led by Nuran Abdullayev, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Research Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, held extensive discussions on current scientific topics with graduate students studying in the specializations "Service of Biomedical and Radioelectronic Devices" and "Medical and Technical Diagnostic Methods and Devices".Discussions were organized around the current research work of the graduate  students, their dissertation topics, and the methods they apply, and future directions of activity were determined.The meeting was attended by the institute's senior research workerr Javid Abbasli and the experimental supervisors, PhDs in engineering Gunay Khasmammadova, Khanim Samadova, and Aybeniz Abdullayeva, who shared their suggestions and recommendations regarding the scientific results presented by the graduate students.

Two performances prepared by the Theater Club on the occasion of National Theater Day were demonstrated  the Student Trade Union  of Azerbaijan Technical University.The performances dedicated to the 152nd anniversary of the National Theater were staged based on the play "Monsieur Jordan and Dervish Masteli Shah" by playwright Mirza Fatali Akhundov and "The Garden Teacher" by Afag Bashirgizi.It should be noted that the performances were created as a result of 3 months of rehearsals by students of AzTU and the UNEC Creativity Center.Honored Artists Rafael Isgandarov, Joshgun Rahimov, and Elkhan Yunis were among those who watched the performances.At the end of the performance, the honored artists congratulated the students and wished them success. At the end, letters of thanks were presented to the young ones who had worked hard to create the performances.
