Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has officially announced the winning projects of the internal grant competition, conducted to develop research and innovation activities, support priority scientific fields, and strengthen the University’s research capacity.
Within the framework of the competition, the submitted project proposals were evaluated by independent experts in accordance with established procedures. The level of scientific novelty, innovative approach, applicability, and expected scientific and social significance were taken as the primary evaluation criteria. As a result of the assessment, projects with high scientific and technological value that respond to contemporary scientific challenges were selected as winners.
The winning projects cover strategically important areas such as engineering, artificial intelligence, information technologies, cybersecurity, energy, the environment, materials science, special equipment and technologies, and educational technologies. The implementation of these projects will contribute to improving the quality of research activities at Azerbaijan Technical University, fostering the application-oriented development of research outcomes, strengthening the innovation environment, and expanding scientific cooperation.
The internal grant competition aims to promote research activities in a systematic manner, ensure the effective use of scientific potential, and enhance competitiveness in the international scientific community in line with the University’s research policy. The implementation of the projects will be carried out throughout 2026.
The total funding allocated to the winning projects in the internal grant competition amounts to 1,285,150 AZN.
