The '4th Networking Forum of Young Teachers,' organized by the Azerbaijan Young Teachers Association (AGMA), hosted productive discussions with the participation of more than 600 teachers. During the first plenary session, titled “Artificial Intelligence and Ethics: Issues of Integrity and Privacy in Education,” Etibar Seyidzade, Director of the Institute for Information Technologies and Methodological Support in Education at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), delivered a speech. He discussed topics such as artificial intelligence and academic integrity, data privacy, the application of AI in education, and fairness in the education system. The semi-final round in Informatics was held at AzTU

The semifinal round of the Republic Subject Olympiads in informatics was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Education (ARTI). The two-day competition brought together 200 students from grades 8, 9, 10, and 11. Participants were assigned to solve four algorithmic problems using C++ or Python programming languages within three hours. The evaluation was conducted through an automated grading system.

Cooperation Agreement Between the High Technology Park and Universities

On February 14, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the High Technology Park (HTP) of the Ministry of Science and Education and Azerbaijan's leading higher education institutions regarding strategic cooperation. According to the agreement, the teaching of selected SABAH group programs in IT, engineering, and science fields at Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University will take place starting from 2026 at the newly established "SABAH.city" campus within the HTP area. In her opening speech, Ulkar Sattarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, provided detailed information on the expansion of the SABAH program based on the President’s Decree on "Expanding the Scope and Financing of New Curriculum-Based Education Programs in Higher Education." She emphasized that the collaboration with HTP, within the framework of the "SABAH.city" innovation campus, would introduce a new approach to the connection between the business environment and science and higher education. Later, the rectors of Baku State University, Elçin Babayev; Azerbaijan Technical University, Vilayat Valiyev; and Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Rufat Azizov, spoke about the work carried out within the SABAH programs at their respective universities. They emphasized the necessity of applying new approaches to enhance the quality of higher education. The CEO of the High Technology Park, Nihat Macidov, presented on cooperation between "SABAH.city" and higher education institutions, stating that this project would raise the quality of education through modern infrastructure, updated curricula, innovative student assessment systems, and highly qualified faculty. It is worth noting that this initiative, which includes both undergraduate and graduate students, aims to develop a research- and innovation-oriented academic environment, establish a leading academic ecosystem in the participating universities, and implement innovative educational models to prepare students for the ever-evolving labor market.

A cooperation memorandum has been signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Türkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU), and Türkiye’s National Ground Safety Institute (UZGE). Within the framework of this collaboration, joint activities are planned in the fields of scientific research, technology transfer, metrology, standardization, and the establishment of testing laboratories. According to the memorandum, the institutions will cooperate in implementing joint scientific projects, publishing articles in international scientific journals, and applying innovative solutions in industry. Additionally, UZGE specialists will conduct training sessions for AzTU and TAU students, providing opportunities for practical experience in laboratories. Discussions were held at the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute on the implementation of European and Turkish standards

A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI), which operates under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control, with Associate Professor Gültekin Coşkun, the head of the National Ground Safety Institute (UZGE) operating in the technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Türkiye. The meeting was attended by the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, the Vice-Rector of the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU), Mehmet Şimşir, as well as representatives of the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND). During the meeting, information was provided about AzMI’s areas of activity, service sectors, measurement and calibration capabilities, existing calibration and verification laboratories, as well as newly established reference laboratories. Later, UZGE's head, Gültekin Coşkun, spoke about the development of applied engineering and safety standards, methods for measuring the frequency of slippage on indoor floors in both the public and private sectors, the equipment used, and the international standards considered in measurements. As part of the discussions, the implementation of European and Turkish standards regarding pedestrian infrastructure safety was addressed, including: EN 16165: “Determination of slip resistance of pedestrian surfaces – Assessment methods” TS 13882: “Classification rules for pedestrian surfaces – General requirements and assessment methods” EN 14231:2003: “Natural stone test methods – Determination of slip resistance using a pendulum test” EN 13036-4:2011: “Road and airfield surface characteristics – Test methods – Part 4: Measurement of slip/skid resistance using a pendulum test” Additionally, discussions were held on allowing AzTU and TAU students to conduct scientific research using AzMI’s laboratories, preparing new projects in the field of metrology, and expanding cooperation in this area. In conclusion, the parties reviewed mutual cooperation opportunities and the application of relevant international experience in Azerbaijan.
