On December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year, a group of foreign students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) visited children from families deprived of parental care and with physical disabilities. The main goal of the visit was to provide moral support to the children, establish sincere communication with them, and bring joy to the little ones in need of care and attention. During the event, which took place in a festive atmosphere, foreign students organized a musical and entertaining program for the children, played various games, and provided them with pleasant moments. At the end of the event, the children were presented with holiday gifts.

Employees of “Capital Security” CJSC, which operates in the security service of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), have been awarded. Thus, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev congratulated the security service staff on December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year. He also awarded them with an honorary diploma for their effective activities during the year.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security (SCIS), a series of master classes are organized for AzTU students every semester. The next master class was held on the topic of “Digital Forensics: Ensuring Reliable Evidence in Cybersecurity and Legal Processes”. During the speech, the participants were informed about the processes of collecting, protecting and analyzing digital evidence, ensuring the integrity and immutability of evidence, applying digital forensics approaches during incidents, as well as international standards and methodologies for maintaining the legal force of digital artifacts. At the same time, the role of forensic processes in investigating cybersecurity incidents and the importance of strengthening institutional capacity in this area were emphasized. Students and faculty of the Cybersecurity Department of AzTU participated in the master class.

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held a training on the topic “Artificial Intelligence: Responsible and ethical artificial intelligence, protection of personal data during the application of artificial intelligence systems” for students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of AzTU. Head of the Electronic Security Service Khayala Babayeva spoke about the purpose of the training, the work done in the field of artificial intelligence and data protection in Azerbaijan, as well as the role of future engineers and programmers in innovation. Later, representatives of the Electronic Security Service Zeynab Aliyeva and Rauf Ibishov provided detailed information about the introduction to artificial intelligence, the Artificial Intelligence Academy and training programs, “AI” projects implemented in the country, as well as “deepfake” technologies and ways to prevent them. The event continued with an interactive question-and-answer session.

A training on the topic “21st Century Skills for the Labor Market” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The training, dedicated to the formation of knowledge and skills in accordance with the modern requirements of the labor market, was conducted by Ilkana Amirova, an ICF-standard career development coach and TOT certified trainer. During the session, students were provided with detailed information on the main skills required by employers, career planning, personal development, adaptability, effective communication and critical thinking. The training, which was conducted in an interactive format, answered questions of interest to the participants.

First-year students of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology took part in an excursion to the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan. The excursion, which was also attended by Amin Mamedov, Deputy Dean for Social Issues, Public Relations and Infrastructure of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology, and Sonakhanim Imamova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanities, provided students with information about the stages of development of Azerbaijan's history from the most ancient times to the present. The museum presented students with a rich collection of exhibits reflecting important historical events, statehood traditions, cultural heritage and national values ​​of Azerbaijan.

An info session on the international intensive digital skills training program “IT SkillSprint” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) for students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications. The program, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA), the State Agency for Science and Higher Education (EATDA) and the global training company “Ironhack”, aims to further develop students’ knowledge and skills in modern technologies. Speaking at the info session, IRIA representative Leyla Zeynalova provided extensive information about the registration process, selection round, and training process for the “IT SkillSprint” program. Inara Valiyeva, a representative of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, wished the students success and spoke about the importance of the program. During the event, entertaining quizzes on the IT field were held, and distinguished students were awarded.

Chingiz Hashim, senior lecturer of the Department of Transport Logistics and Traffic Safety of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), delivered a speech at the 4th International Road Safety Congress in Ankara, Turkey. The presentations at the conference, organized by the Traffic Institute of the Turkish Police Academy, were dedicated to the topic of “Innovative solutions in traffic culture and transport safety”. Chingiz Hashim delivered a report on the topic of “Integrations applied for transport safety. Intelligent transport systems”, co-authored by the Head of the Department of Transport Logistics and Traffic Safety, Associate Professor Razim Bayramov, Professor Shamil Heydarov and himself.

The mobile application “SupAutism”, authored by Sanan Mirzayev, a student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), majoring in process automation engineering, has won the “Digital” grant competition of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation. The mobile application aims to provide psychological, pedagogical and social support to parents of children with autism. The main goal of the project is to facilitate parents’ access to information, provide the right direction at the initial stage, and increase awareness of autism in society. The mobile application includes sections called “Initial information section on autism”, “Child behavior tests”, “Step-by-step instructions and recommendations for parents”, and “Practical materials that facilitate the daily lives of children with autism”.

Professor Ikramjan Rahmonov, Head of the Department of Power Supply of Tashkent State Technical University of Uzbekistan, Professor Sherkhan Latibov, Head of the Department of Electrical Networks, Power Plants and Power Systems, as well as Professor Kamal Reymov, Head of the Department of Electrical Power Engineering of Karakalpak State University, were guests of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). As part of the visit, a meeting was held between the representatives of Uzbekistan and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of AzTU, Professor Nurali Yusifbeyli, and the Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Professor Huseyngulu Guliyev. During the meeting, priority areas of future cooperation in the areas of mutual exchange of experience in academic and scientific activities, joint research, personnel training and development of educational programs were discussed. The guest professors gave a lecture on the development prospects of electric power engineering for students of the Faculty of Energy.
