An event was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) on the occasion of Azerbaijan Youth Day. Speaking at the event organized by the AzTU Trade Union Committee and the Student Trade Union Committee, Vice-Rector Rashad Aliyev congratulated the university's young employees and students on the occasion of Azerbaijan Youth Day, emphasizing their important role in the development of various sectors of the country. He said that acquiring knowledge and skills in line with the challenges of the modern era is one of the priorities of the state and higher education institutions. Rashad Aliyev also spoke about the opportunities created for the comprehensive development of youth at AzTU. Within the framework of the event, a group of employees and students were awarded honorary certificates and gifts for their activity in education, science, public activity and university life. The training program on increasing personnel potential between AzTU and BakuBus LLC has been successfully completed

An event dedicated to the results of the advanced training program implemented in BakuBus LLC for the sustainable development of urban transport and increasing traffic safety was held. The project aimed to improve the quality of service in urban public transport, increase traffic safety and form the potential of professional personnel in the field. The event was attended by the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev, Chairman of the Board of BakuBus LLC Hikmat Garibov, employees of the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU - trainers, as well as listeners of the training program. Welcoming the participants, Hikmat Garibov, Chairman of the Board of BakuBus LLC, highly appreciated the cooperation with AzTU. He noted that after the initial official meetings with BakuBus LLC, a detailed analysis of the company's personnel needs was conducted by the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU. The conducted assessments showed the necessity of increasing the academic-theoretical knowledge, field terminology and awareness of the normative-legal framework of the employees. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev stated that the training program was implemented within the framework of the strategic cooperation established between AzTU and “BakuBus” LLC towards the sustainable development of urban transport, strengthening of personnel potential and increasing professional knowledge in the field. The Rector noted the importance of expanding training programs in the future. Fuad Dashdemirov, Director of the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU, provided extensive information on the implementation of the training program. He stated that the trainings were conducted by the professional academic staff of the Institute of Logistics and Transport of AzTU and combined theoretical knowledge with practical approaches. The program provided theoretical and practical knowledge on the basic concepts in the field of road safety, relevant normative-legal documents, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Road Traffic”, analysis of road accidents and safety requirements for vehicles. Gasim Manafov, associate professor of the Department of Transport Engineering and Management Technologies of AzTU, provided detailed information about the success and performance of the students during the training program. During the speeches, the aforementioned cooperation model between AzTU and "BakuBus" was evaluated as a successful example of effective knowledge and experience exchange between higher education institutions and the industrial sector, university-industry cooperation based on real results, and it was noted that it is intended to be continued in the future. Presentation of projects by students taking programming courses at Peerstack Academy

The presentation of projects by students of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) who took a programming course at the Peerstack Academy was held. A joint working group meeting was held between AzTU and the Ministry of Defense Industry

A meeting of the joint working group established between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the Ministry of Defense Industry (MSN) was held. Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Nurali Yusifbeyli emphasized that the extensive and systematic cooperation between AzTU and MSN was highly appreciated. Representative of the Ministry of Defense Industry Elsever Ibadov noted that the existing cooperation between both institutions is of strategic importance. During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on the main issues on the agenda. Thus, the appointment of graduates of the AzTU Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology of 2024 and previous years, the existing curriculum of specialties at the faculty, as well as the mechanisms for appointing joint scientific supervisors for graduation theses for the 2025/2026 academic year were reviewed. At the same time, the issue of organizing 6-month application-oriented trainings for 2nd and 3rd year students studying in engineering specialties was also in the spotlight. It was noted that these trainings will serve to improve the practical knowledge and skills of students, as well as to more effectively meet the personnel needs of the defense industry. A memorandum of cooperation was signed between AzTU and Andersen LLC

A meeting was held with representatives of Andersen LLC at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev stressed the importance of implementing joint development programs in artificial intelligence, fintech and other relevant areas with the company. The field visit of AQAS experts to AzTU has been successfully completed

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has achieved a significant achievement in ensuring the quality of higher education in line with international standards. The international accreditation process of 20 educational programs, including 10 bachelor's and 10 master's, implemented at the university by the prestigious German quality assurance agency AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programmes) has been completed. During the international program accreditation process, a delegation of AQAS international experts conducted 4 field visits to AzTU. The 20 educational programs participating in the accreditation process were grouped into four clusters according to their content and orientation. - Electrical Engineering – October 29-31, 2025 - Computer Engineering and Information Technologies – December 8-10, 2025 - Mechanical Engineering – January 14-16, 2026 - Transport and Logistics – January 21-22, 2026 During the accreditation, the content of the educational programs, compliance with the requirements of the labor market, the level of cooperation with the industry, the formation of students' practical skills, the teaching and learning process, the level of professionalism of the academic staff, the material and technical base, student-oriented approaches, assessment mechanisms, and the activity of the internal quality assurance system were comprehensively analyzed. During the assessment, AQAS experts positively assessed the reforms implemented at AzTU, the structuring of educational programs and the sustainable development-oriented approach, and made recommendations for improvement. It should be noted that programs accredited by AQAS are recognized in the European Higher Education Area. This will significantly contribute to the international recognition of AzTU graduates' diplomas, the expansion of student and teacher exchange, and the strengthening of the university's position in international rankings. The achieved result is a clear indicator of AzTU's policy of continuous quality assurance and purposeful steps taken towards integration with international standards. AzTU will continue its activities in the future, along the strategic development line, to expand the international accreditation of educational programs and further improve the quality of higher education. Teams with AzTU students participating won Startup Days

The Startup Days, held at the Incubation Center of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the participation of students from AzTU, Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and the National Aviation Academy (MAA), have successfully concluded. The event, organized in partnership with the “Startup Azerbaijan” platform, brought together young people interested in innovative ideas, mentors and experts for two days. On the opening day of the event, the head of the “Startup Azerbaijan” platform Osman Gunduz welcomed the participants with an opening speech. He shared his views on the development of the startup ecosystem in the country, the involvement of young people in innovative initiatives and the importance of such events. Then, AzTU Incubation Center Coordinator Azad Musayev provided information about the Startup Days program. On the first day of the event, a total of forty four startup ideas were presented by students. After short presentations, eight most promising ideas were selected as a result of voting and qualified for the next stage. Teams were formed on the selected ideas, and the preparation of initial prototypes and business models of the projects began. On the second day of the event, the formation of ideas, choosing the right direction, teamwork and development of presentation skills were assessed. At the end of the day, the teams demonstrated their projects in front of the jury in the form of 4-5 minute presentations. The projects were evaluated by the jury (Farid Kazimov, Samir Habibli, Rahid Alakbarli, Rasim Abdullayev, Rashad Aliyev) on the criteria of innovativeness, technical justification, implementation potential and business value. According to the results, the “Timeless History” team, consisting of AzTU and MAA students, took 1st place. The “Youth.az” and “Skill Match” teams, consisting of AzTU students, took 2nd place. The “Nexo” team, consisting of AzTU and TAU students, took 3rd place.
