The process of employment for graduates of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was carried out. The meeting was attended by a commission consisting of representatives of various factories and enterprises operating under the Ministry of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as "Azersilah Holding". Within the framework of the process that continued throughout the day, the faculty graduates were involved in individual interviews in their specialties, and their knowledge and skills were assessed. It should be noted that AzTU is the only higher education institution in the region that carries out training of qualified personnel in the field of defense industry. In order to train qualified personnel for the defense industry complex of Azerbaijan, the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology was established at AzTU by the decision No. 91 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated June 7, 2011.

As part of the visit, the delegation held meetings at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Yıldız Technical University, the Turkish branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers of the Turkish Union of Engineers and Architects. During the meeting with ITU Rector Professor Hasan Mandal and the faculty of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, an exchange of views was held on conducting joint scientific research, opening certificate programs for young teachers, as well as preparing doctoral students under joint supervision. The AzTU delegation also got acquainted with the laboratories of the Mechanical Engineering, Automation and Control Faculties of ITU. Here, the introduction of the AzTU international scientific journal “Machine Science” and the attraction of high-quality articles to this journal, as well as the prospects of publishing joint articles in scientific journals with a high impact factor were discussed. During the visit to Yıldız Technical University, the AzTU delegation got acquainted with the scientific research work carried out in the Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics departments and discussed future cooperation directions. During the meeting at the Turkish branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, detailed information was provided on the structure of the IEEE system, membership opportunities and the advantages of members' access to scientific, technical and educational materials. During the meeting at the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers of the Turkish Engineers and Architects Association, Turkey's experience in this field was studied in detail. Also, views were exchanged on the possibilities of establishing a Chamber of Mechanical Engineers in Azerbaijan based on the Turkish model.

Həmçinin universitet-sənaye əməkdaşlığı, tələbələrin istehsalat təcrübəsinin təşkili, real sənaye layihələrində iştirak imkanları ətrafında fikir mübadiləsi aparılıb.

One of Azerbaijan's goals is to become a regional AI hub, an IT center, and I believe that we have the potential to achieve this. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed this idea in an interview with local television channels on January 5. Noting that Azerbaijan is working with partners on the creation of data centers, the head of state said: "We have plans and already implemented projects related to the creation of a cybersecurity center, training of our specialists - we send many of our specialists abroad for training and, at the same time, organize trainings in Azerbaijan - our goal, along with commitment, is to become a hub for AI and IT. The potential is there. There is a strong political will. Of course, we consider American companies to be our main partners."

Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev held a meeting with the project leaders who won the internal grant competition held to develop scientific research and innovation activities at the university, support priority scientific directions and strengthen research potential. Congratulating the winners, the rector said that the competition was organized in accordance with the science policy of AzTU. He emphasized that the main goal is to systematically promote research activities, ensure the efficient use of existing scientific potential and increase the competitiveness of the university in the international scientific space. Vilayat Valiyev noted that the winning projects respond to modern scientific challenges, were selected for their innovative approaches and application capabilities. The rector expressed his belief that the projects will be successfully implemented within the specified period, and called on researchers to active cooperation, result-oriented activity and promotion of the obtained scientific results on international scientific platforms. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual exchange of views, and discussions were held on the implementation of the projects, expected scientific and social results, as well as future cooperation opportunities.

Head of the Department of Digital Economy and Financial Technologies of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Jeyhun Hajiyev, Head of the Department of Business Organization Ogtay Guliyev, Head of the Department of Finance and Supply Samir Musayev, Employee of the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development Govhar Valiyeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Digital Economy and Financial Technologies Rukhsara Seyfullaly and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Sustainable Economy Murshid Mehdiyev visited Quaid-i-Azam University of Pakistan, FAST University and the Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as part of an exchange program. The meetings discussed the further strengthening of existing cooperation relations between AzTU and Pakistani universities in the future, prospects for faculty and student exchange, publication of joint scientific articles in highly rated and indexed international scientific journals, and joint supervision of doctoral dissertations. During the visit, the AzTU delegation made presentations on various scientific and academic topics at the higher education and research institution. In addition, the delegation also got acquainted with the universities' laboratories, libraries, and scientific and research infrastructure.

Representatives of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) visited the “Azerenergy” Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC). AzTU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Nurali Yusifbeyli, spoke about the importance of digitalization in the energy sector, integration of renewable energy sources, and the application of SCADA and artificial intelligence-based control systems. He noted that the aforementioned control systems necessitate the training of engineering personnel with new competencies. Then, Professor Huseyngulu Guliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Energy, provided extensive information about the curricula and subject programs for electrical and electronics and energy engineering specialties. Yusif Garayev, First Deputy Chief Transmission System Operator of “Azerenergy” OJSC, and Ilham Agasiyev, Head of the Central Dispatch Department, emphasized the need to train specialized personnel in SCADA, WAMS, digital platforms, energy storage technologies and software in energy systems. The importance of formulating master's theses based on real production problems was also noted. At the meeting, the parties agreed to expand coordinated cooperation, adapt curricula to the requirements of the labor market, organize 20-week industrial experience for students, implement joint scientific and research projects, as well as regularly hold meetings in this format.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has officially announced the winning projects of the internal grant competition, conducted to develop research and innovation activities, support priority scientific fields, and strengthen the University’s research capacity. Within the framework of the competition, the submitted project proposals were evaluated by independent experts in accordance with established procedures. The level of scientific novelty, innovative approach, applicability, and expected scientific and social significance were taken as the primary evaluation criteria. As a result of the assessment, projects with high scientific and technological value that respond to contemporary scientific challenges were selected as winners. The winning projects cover strategically important areas such as engineering, artificial intelligence, information technologies, cybersecurity, energy, the environment, materials science, special equipment and technologies, and educational technologies. The implementation of these projects will contribute to improving the quality of research activities at Azerbaijan Technical University, fostering the application-oriented development of research outcomes, strengthening the innovation environment, and expanding scientific cooperation. The internal grant competition aims to promote research activities in a systematic manner, ensure the effective use of scientific potential, and enhance competitiveness in the international scientific community in line with the University’s research policy. A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) between the staff of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology and representatives of the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos). At the meeting, Dean Yadullah Babayev provided information about the directions of the faculty's activities, specialties taught and development prospects, as well as the curriculum of the aerospace engineering specialty. In addition, the issues of adapting educational programs to the requirements of the labor market and developing qualified personnel training for the space industry were discussed. An exchange of views was held on the issues of expanding cooperation between AzTU and Azercosmos, updating curricula, organizing production experiments, as well as implementing joint scientific research. Then, the guests got acquainted with various laboratories and workshops of the university.
