AzTU expands cooperation with Turkish universities

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Subhan Namazov and Director of the Department of Research, Development and Reputation Bakhtiyar Badalov visited the university to establish and develop new collaborations in the field of joint research with leading universities located in Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey.

During the visit, the AzTU delegation held discussions with the management and researchers of Yildiz Technical University, Gazi University, Gabza Technical University, Chankaya University, Istanbul Trade University, Isinye University, and Bahcheshehir University.

During the discussions, relevant agreements were reached on issues such as the joint use of research platforms, the organization of support for the cooperation of each researcher with at least one partner researcher, holding joint conferences, etc.

Vice-Rectors of Gabza Technical University Prof. Dr. Elif Damla Arısan, during the discussions with Hasari Çelebi, an agreement was reached on the implementation of joint internal grant projects, joint use of the laboratory base of Gabza Technical University and the base of TECHNOPARK. During the discussions with the delegation led by Yıldız Technical University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Guleda Engin, agreements were reached on the organization of joint scientific conferences and a mechanism for supporting the mutual exchange of professors and teaching staff was discussed. During the meeting with Istanbul Commerce University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Berk Ayvaz and the delegation, an agreement was reached on the mutual exchange of professors and teaching staff, joint research activities and doctoral training.

During the discussions, prospects for cooperation in such areas as conducting joint scientific research, joint participation in international grant programs, exchange of doctoral students and young researchers, organization of scientific conferences and seminars were considered. The importance of exchanging experience in the field of innovation activities, technology transfer and development of applied research was also noted.

During the meetings, it was emphasized that the development of cooperation between universities is of great importance in terms of strengthening scientific potential, developing the research environment and expanding international academic relations.

During the visit, AzTU representatives got acquainted with the research centers and innovation infrastructure operating at universities and exchanged views on the organization and management of scientific activities.
