Teams from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) will participate in international competitions to be held within the framework of the “Global Tech Hackathon 2026” organized by the Central Asian University of Uzbekistan.

Two startup teams from AzTU – “AZ2” and “MedX” – will be represented in the competition on “AI in Healthcare Hackathon 2026”, which is one of the main directions of the “Hackathon” program.

It should be noted that before the international stage of the competitions, the teams’ projects underwent internal evaluation at AzTU. At the presentation session organized at the AzTU Incubation Center, the “AZ2” and “MedX” teams presented the technological solutions they developed, the innovative aspects of their projects, and their application potential.

During the evaluation, the relevance of the projects, technical justification, focus on solving real problems, and competitiveness on the international platform were taken into account as the main criteria. Based on the feedback and recommendations provided, the teams are preparing for the international stage in Tashkent by further improving their projects.

In addition, AzTU teams are also expected to participate in the "International Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) 2026" event, which will be held as part of the competition, and the preparation process is ongoing in this regard.
