The State Examination Center has established another "Applicant Advisory Center" at the Azerbaijan Technical University (Address: 25 H.Cavid Avenue, Building 1, Room 120).  In the Counseling Center, specially trained staff provide prospective students with free assistance on admission rules, application acceptance for higher and vocational education institutions, the procedure for filling and validating the "Online Admission of the Applicant", resolving any technical issues that may arise during this process, competition conditions, and important considerations when choosing a specialization.  Applicants can address their questions to the "Applicant Counseling Centers" on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  A cooperation agreement has been signed between AzTU and Istanbul Aydın University.   A delegation led by Mustafa Aydın, the founder of Turkey's Istanbul Aydın University, has visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).  The guests met with AzTU rector Vilayat Valiyev and representatives of the university. Rector Vilayat Valiyev provided the guests with detailed information about the ongoing work and innovations at AzTU.  Mustafa Aydın gave a comprehensive presentation about Istanbul Aydın University, which he founded. During the meeting, opportunities for collaboration in various fields were discussed.  Subsequently, a cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities.

The guests met with the rector of AzTU, Viliayat Valiyev and representatives of the university. Rector Vilayat Valiyev gave detailed information to the guests about the work done at AzTU and the innovations implemented. Mustafa Aydın made an extensive presentation about Istanbul Aydın University which he founded. During the meeting opportunities for cooperation in relevant areas were discussed. Later a cooperation agreement was signed between the two universities.

Within the framework of the "Development of Research Potential in Azerbaijan through the Network of Institutional Repositories (Digital Archives)" (DIRNA) project implemented under the "Erasmus+ KA2" program of which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, the next trainings were organized at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. AzTU was represented at the trainings by Khayala Hajiyeva, director of the Library Information Center (KIM), and Iltifat Ibrahimov, senior consultant on library systems and digitization processes.

Sergey Khristolyubov, regional director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) International Rating Agency, was a guest of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Welcoming the guest, Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the role of international rating systems in the recognition of higher education institutions on a global scale. The rector emphasized that AzTU attaches importance to international rating systems. During the meeting, views were exchanged on the current and future cooperation issues of AzTU with QS, including the possibilities of developing relevant indicators related to QS rating.

A field trip to the meat and dairy plant of the SAB company was organized by the "Industrial Engineering Hub" club operating under the Student Trade Union Committee (THIK) of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Teachers of the Department of Machine Design and Industrial Technologies and 2nd year students studying food engineering took part in the excursion.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held an event dedicated to "Reading Day" in order to develop reading habits among students and increase interest in reading. Habib Mirzayev, head of the Department of Humanities, spoke about the establishment and importance of "Reading Day" at the official part of the event. Habib Mirzayev also drew attention to the exceptional role of the book in the formation of personality, national-spiritual and universal values. Gulshan Rzayeva, associate professor of the Department of Humanities, who spoke later, said that such events held for the purpose of improving reading habits and forming a reading culture are of great importance in terms of moral enrichment of students. In the artistic part of the event, AzTU students performed a play of the same name based on the motifs of the play "Daughter's Father" by the writer-playwright, honored artist Afgan Askerov. Students also recited poems and songs from the works of folk poets Mammad Araz and Zalimkhan Yagub.

"GreenTech" Startup and Green Technologies" competition was held in Ganja as part of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" announced by the President Ilham Aliyev's Decree. Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was represented by 4 teams in the competition. The "Efficient use of natural resources and revival of Karabakh" team, captained by Kamran Gurbanov, a first-year student of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics of AzTU, was awarded the second place in the competition. After evaluation by the jury, the winning teams were awarded with certificates and valuable gifts.

The IX Republican Scientific and Technical Conference on "Advanced Technologies and Innovations" has started at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev." Firstly, the participants of the conference laid flowers in front of the bust of the Great Leader in the lobby of the university and honored his memory. Thereafter, the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who died for the freedom and sovereignty of our country were commemorated with a minute's silence, and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.The rector of AzTU, Vilayat Valiyev, greeted the participants and wished success to the conference. The rector stated that in addition to AzTU, young researchers from 25 scientific institutions, universities, and other organizations will present their scientific presentations at the conference. Emphasizing the importance of the conference held annually, the rector stated that the research presented here should be goal-oriented. The rector highlighted the necessity of transforming the results of research into industry and mentioned the responsibilities of technical-oriented higher education institutions in this direction. He expressed his ideas about the role of technology and engineering in the modern era and the priority of research and innovation at the university.Next, the Vice-Rector of Baku Engineering University, Agha Malikov, and the Head of the Military Scientific Research Institute of the National Defense University, Colonel Yalcin Isayev, spoke about the importance of the topics to be discussed at the conference.During the conference, doctoral students of AzTU, Anar Haciyev, Samir Amirli, Nurlan Arifzade, and master's student Aziz Suleymanov gave extensive presentations related to their research work.The conference will conclude on May 2nd with section meetings.

Known for its affordable prices and offers suitable for everyone, "Nar" continues its long-term social projects in the direction of education. "Nar" continues mobile communication training for students of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) in order to develop the field of mobile communications of Azerbaijan based on local professionals. Within the framework of nearly 10-year cooperation between "Nar" and AzTU, students of the university studying technical specialties participate in communication trainings organized by the "Nar" technical staff, conduct face-to-face classes in the "Nar" laboratory and join the "Nar" internship program. It should be noted that the technical staff of "Nar" is made up of local professionals.

Relations are being developed within the framework of the cooperation memorandum signed between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Belarus State University of Informatics and Radiotechnics (BDIRU). In accordance with the memorandum, the head of the Department of Information Technologies of Automated Systems of BSIRU, candidate of physics-mathematical sciences, associate professor Anatoly Alexandrovich Navrotsky and head teacher Yarmolik Baleri Ivanovich visited AzTU for an internship for a week. The head of the department, Professor Vagif Gasimov, gave detailed information about the educational infrastructure of AzTU and the Faculty of Information and Telecommunication Technologies to the guests who were interns at the Department of Computer Technologies. The guests were also informed about the educational and subject programs, study plans and syllabuses of computer engineering and information technology specialties, where specialist training is carried out in the department, and they also got acquainted with the material and technical base of the department. The guests met with the teaching staff of the department and participated in the teaching process. Within the framework of the visit, the representatives of BSIRU also visited AzTU's Radio Engineering and Telecommunications and Cyber Security Departments. At the end of the visit, the guests met with Fariz Mammadov, the vice-rector for international relations of AzTU, and Vagif Gasimov, the head of the Department of Computer Technologies, and discussed the future directions of cooperation, conducting joint scientific research, staff training for the dual diploma program, student and teacher exchange issues.
