Nargizkhanim Bakhishova, the head teacher of the Department of Economics and Statistics at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in an exchange program at Bucharest University of Economics in Romania under the auspices of the "Erasmus+ KA171" program. During the exchange, Nargizkhanim Bakhishova familiarized herself with the activities of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics at Bucharest University of Economics and engaged with its academic staff. She also acquainted herself with ongoing research endeavors in laboratories and libraries, actively participated in teaching "Statistics" and "Econometrics" courses, and delivered a lecture to students studying these subjects.

Within the framework of the "ERASMUS+KA2" program funded by the European Union, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, the next international conference and the next meeting of the management team was held in Moldova on the project "Increasing the potential of universities in starting and participating in the development of clusters with the principles of innovation and sustainability" (UniClaD). The event was organized with the participation of representatives of partner organizations from Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The international conference was hosted by Comrat State University on April 8-10 in Comrat, Moldova, and on April 11-12 in Chisinau by Moldova Technical University. AzTU vice-rector for science and innovations Subhan Namazov, vice-rector for international relations Fariz Mammadov, head of the international projects group of the international relations department Matanat Pashayeva, head of the Research and Development department Bakhtiyar Badalov, head of the doctoral and master's department Shahin Mashayev took part in the conference. At the meeting, European partners gave presentations on the application of IT technologies in agriculture, the Cluster Innovation Farm in Austria, the experience of creating training modules, the agricultural knowledge and innovation system, clusters in the food sector, and the application of models was discussed. Within the framework of the visit, advanced farms producing organic dairy products were inspected and innovative applications were studied. During the visit, which continued with the meeting of the management team, the outstanding issues related to the main components of the project were discussed, and the time of the next meeting was agreed. In the end, the organizational issues for holding the final conference on the project in Azerbaijan were also discussed.

On April 5, in accordance with the Joint Action Plan of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), "Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting" Closed Joint Stock Company, and the State Commission for the Fight against Drug Addiction and Illegal Trafficking of Narcotics, in accordance with the Joint Action Plan of the Permanent Working Group at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU)  "Say no to bad habits, choose a healthy lifestyle!" interactive training was held.

Innovative Technologies Center of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has started a series of trainings on "Project management" for academic staff. Training is expected to last for three months. In accordance with the action plan of the Innovative Technologies Center, it is planned to hold trainings and seminars in other areas. It should be noted that the center was established under the project Increasing the capacity of universities in starting and participating in the development of clusters with the principles of innovation and sustainability (UniClaD) implemented at AzTU within the framework of the "Erasmus+KA2"program.

A delegation led by AzTU rector Vilayat Valiyev visited the Azerfloat glass plant.  The advisor of the institution, Bahman Aliyev, informed the guests that the plant is the first enterprise for the production of thermoformed glass in Azerbaijan. As one of the main companies serving the development of the non-oil industry of Azerbaijan, the institution makes significant contributions to the country economy. During the acquaintance of the AzTU delegation with the activities of the institution, it was said that students will actively participate in the existing internship programs at the plant. At the same time, an agreement was reached on the creation of research opportunities and joint use of the laboratory base.

A commemorative event dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the birth of National Hero Shovgiyar Abdullayev, a graduate of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), who was martyred in the First Karabakh War, was held. First, the memory of the children of the Motherland, who died for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our land, was commemorated with a minute's silence, and the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played. Later, a film dedicated to the memory of martyred students and graduates of AzTU was shown. The speakers expressed their memories of  National Hero Shovgiyar Abdullayev and talked about his short and honorable war path.

A meeting was held with the family members of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) graduates who were martyred in the April battles. War veterans, veterans, representatives of various public associations operating in the republic took part in the event. Habib Mirzayev, Head of the Humanities Department of AzTU, spoke about the heroic deeds of our soldiers and officers in the April battles, and the successes of our glorious army. He said that graduates of AzTU Mahir Guliyev, Abdulmajid Akhundov, Mushfiq Orujov and Elvin Mirzayev were also martyred in the April battles. It was also mentioned that the dear memory of the martyrs will always live in the hearts.

Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev met with Baltic, Central Asia and South Caucasus coordinator of “Clarivate Analytics” company Anna Trifonova and the company specialist in educational resources Inesh Kenjina. Representatives of AzTU also participated in the meeting.  Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized that the cooperation between AzTU and "Clarivate Analytics" company, which started in 2015, has been successfully continued. At the meeting, discussions were held in the direction of cooperation with the "Web of Science" international ranking platform of scientific publications, inclusion of scientific journals, dissertations in international databases and increase of references. At the same time, opinions were exchanged on the inclusion of conference publications in various fields into the "Web of Science" platform.
