A meeting was held with teachers applying to the “Yanındayıq” mentoring project within the framework of collaboration between Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the “SmartNation” platform. During the meeting, the head of the “SmartNation” platform, Şəbnəm Məmmədova, provided detailed information about the project and noted the expectations from mentors. After discussing the current problems and needs faced by mentors in education and industry, their questions were answered.

A seminar was held within the framework of the project "Organization of educational activities with transdisciplinarity strategies in higher education institutions" of the Society of Young Scientists, Doctoral Students and Masters of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the organization of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). At the event held at AzTU, vice-rector for international relations Fariz Mammadov, director of the Higher Education Institute Anar Eminov spoke about the importance of the seminar for young scientists. Ilgar Orujov, chairman of the Association of Young Scientists, Doctoral Students and Masters of Azerbaijan, said that the implementation of the project is planned for ten higher educational institutions of the country. The goal is to form a new way of thinking in the context of interdisciplinary relations among young scientists, to share the experience of foreign universities in this direction and to learn new methods.

Professor Musa Atar, Dean of the Technology Faculty of Gazi University of Turkey, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guest met with Vilayat Valiyev, the rector of AzTU. He also exchanged views on the dual diploma program implemented jointly with Gazi University on the bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering at the Faculty of Energy and Automation of AzTU.

An educational event dedicated to the fight against human trafficking was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Police colonel Ibrahim Ahmadov, an employee of the Main Department of Combating Human Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and students attended in the event. First, the students were informed about the work done in the framework of anti-trafficking measures in our country, and the main methods of identifying victims of human trafficking. Later, the video clip was shown. It was reported that victims of the crime of human trafficking, probable victims and potential victims of human trafficking can apply to 152 "Hotlines" operating in the General Directorate for Combating Human Trafficking. In the end, the students' questions were answered.

A seminar on anti-drug addiction was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Gamar Isayeva, director of the Social Development Center of AzTU, said that the danger of drug addiction is a factor that has a great impact on the moral and moral values of human society, has a negative impact on socio-economic development, creates a serious threat to people's lives and health, and causes an increase in crime. Seminars on anti-drug addiction are regularly organized at the university in order to educate young people about this problem, which seriously worries the world. Police major Kamran Mayilov, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Chief Anti-Narcotics Department, and police lieutenant Lumu Israfilli, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Press Service, spoke about the effects of drug addiction on humanity. It was noted that in the fight against illegal drug trafficking, in addition to the state, every individual in the society should play an active role. At the same time, the need to expand educational activities in this direction was also specially emphasized. Later, various video clips depicting the dangers and consequences of drug addiction to human life were shown.

The Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has once again made a breakthrough. With the initiative of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, the company "Nokia" has opened a laboratory in AzTU. The new xPON laboratory, which started its activities at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies of AzTU, is fully equipped by "Nokia." It is worth noting that the xPON technology allows for transmission for 5G stations at lower financial costs.The opening ceremony was attended by AzTU, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, the Information and Communication Technologies Agency, the regional and Azerbaijani leadership of "Nokia," numerous company executives, and other guests. They closely acquainted themselves with the conditions created in the laboratory.Providing information about the laboratory, the head of AzTU's Radio Engineering and Telecommunication Department, Mehman Huseynov, stated that 5G is not only related to mobile technologies but is also extensively used for managing modern smart homes, healthcare, transportation, military, and industrial devices. The purpose of opening the laboratory is to prepare local professionals to meet the demands of the labor market. Research in the relevant direction will also be conducted in the laboratory.

A reporting conference was held within the framework of the "Establishment of Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan" (ECAR) project. The conference was attended by over 100 representatives from 28 local higher education institutions, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency, the State Employment Agency, the National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Issues, as well as foreign partners of the project, including Mykolas Romeris University in Lithuania, KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in Belgium.In the event AzTU was represented by Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) , employees of the International Relations Office Metanet Pashayeva, Nubar Farhadzadeh, and Ulviyya Rasulova, Head Specialist of the Career and Employment Center.The main purpose of the conference was to listen to the reports of the committees operating within the framework of the project and to conduct relevant discussions.

Anar Aliyev, the general director of the famous German SAP company specializing in the field of information systems, for Azerbaijan, held a seminar at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Nuran Süleymanova, the teacher of the department of international trade, logistics and marketing, coordinator of SAP of AzTU, also participated in the seminar. In the seminar organized for the students of the Faculty of Economics and Management, the current requirements for training as a SAP specialist, the opportunities for experience in local and global SAP markets were discussed. Also, Yuri Kuprianov, the global manager of SAP University Alliances, attended the meeting in online format and answered the students' questions. It should be noted that AzTU is a member of the Global SAP Alliance of Universities since 2024 and carries out regular events together with the company.

Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and "Information Valley Baku" located at AzTU, organized by a number of incubation and acceleration centers, have started the meetings related to the "GreenAgroHack" hackathon competition. The first information session of this kind was held at AzTU. Rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev, director of Agrarian Innovation Center Anar Jafarov, director of "Information Valley Baku" Gamat Karimov, head of "FemTech" Acceleration Center Nargiz Amrahova spoke about the importance of the hackathon and invited students to participate in the competition. It was reported that "GreenAgroHack" is a competition of finding and preparing certain technological solutions in accordance with the technical task given within the framework of the "17th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition" which will be held on May 15-17, 2023 within the period of 29 hours 29 minutes 29 seconds. The goal of the hackathon is to develop special software, intelligent solutions in the field of agriculture with the participation of students of the country's leading higher education institutions within the framework of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World", and to promote the role and importance of innovation in the agricultural field among young people. It should be noted that to participate in the hackathon, it is possible to apply as a team or individually, consisting of students of at least two different universities, formed of a maximum of 5 people (at least 1 woman and 1 person from the graduate students of previous years as a mentor). Individual applicants will be grouped into 5-person teams by the organizing committee after the applications are over. After the information session, the laboratory and workshop of the university were inspected.

The fourth wave of the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center, which was jointly established by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development with Israel's Technion Institute of Technology, has been launched. In this regard, an info session was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the participation of students. First, AzTU vice-rector Rashad Aliyev gave detailed information about the center's new wave of training. He said that any citizen of Azerbaijan over 17 years who has English language skills and basic ICT skills can apply to take advantage of the training. Later, the employees of the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center brought to the attention of the students the necessary information about the nature of the training and the selection procedure. In the end, the students' questions were answered.
