Three teams of students from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) won the competition “TUSAŞ Lift Up 2024 Industry-Oriented Graduation Project – Graduate Projects” announced by the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) within the framework of the 2024-2025 academic year. The teams of “KarabaghX”, “AeroTech AzTU” and “VATAN” are working on diploma projects on the topics of “Green mechanical processing and durability of cutting tools”, “Optimization of aerodynamic shape using reinforcement learning” and “Reduction of residual stresses in mechanical processing parts depending on the rolling direction of the material and optimization of the NC program”. They are led by Professor Nizami Yusubov, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Professor Yadigar Imamverdiyev, Head of the Department of Cybersecurity and Associate Professor Sarvan Aziz, Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology. The industrial consultants of the projects implemented with the support of TUSAŞ are Görkem Çoban, Sadik Yetkin and Alper Yesilyurt. In the teams, AzTU is represented by 10 students in total, including one foreign student The leader of the “QarabagX” team is Tamerlan Ahmadov, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, specializing in mechanical engineering, and the team members are Sevil Agayarzade and Ibrahim Novruzov. The leader of the “AeroTech AzTU” team is Javid Asadov, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications, specializing in information security, and the team members are Amin Mammadli and Eyyub Hajiyev. The leader of the “VATAN” team is Seyyid Hasan Majidli, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics, specializing in mechanical engineering, and the team members are Shamil Askerov, Ahmet Kirbali and Murad Shafiyev. The budget of each project is 30,000 Turkish liras. It should be noted that teams consisting of AzTU students have been participating in this competition since the 2023/2024 academic year. AzTU's cooperation with TUSAŞ has been established since 2022.

Murat Çemberci, General Manager of Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (GOSB) Technopark, held a seminar on “Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Technoparks” at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev, Turkey-Azerbaijan University (TAU) Vice-Rector Mehmet Şimşir, MUSIAD Azerbaijan Board Chairman Rashad Jabirli and other persons participated in the seminar. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev first addressed the participants and spoke about the importance of the seminar. GOSB Technopark General Manager Murat Çemberci made a comprehensive presentation and provided detailed information about the activities of the organization he leads, its contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as the new technopark currently being established in Azerbaijan. During the presentation, detailed information was provided about the entrepreneurial university model, startup ecosystem, and ways for student-young researchers to realize their innovative business ideas.

An event dedicated to International Mother Language Day was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) jointly organized by the Department of Humanities and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC). Delivering an introductory speech at the event, AzTU Vice-Rector Rashad Aliyev evaluated this meeting, which included the issues of promoting and encouraging the ideas of Azerbaijaniness, as a very important and commendable event. He especially emphasized that the mother language plays an important role in enriching a person's spiritual world, expanding his worldview, and obtaining excellent education, and gave his recommendations to young students in this direction. Then, the head of the Department of Humanities Habib Mirzayev and the professor of the department Eyyub Karimov made speeches and noted that language is the most important tool in the formation of a person's personality and the enrichment of his spirituality. In this regard, the protection and development of our mother language is the sacred duty of every citizen. It is our mother language that preserves and transmits material and spiritual heritage from generation to generation. The role of our writers and poets in the formation of our native language as one of the richest languages in the world was also specially noted. Later, AzTU graduate, winner of the "Ben şarkı söylersem" music competition broadcast on "TRT Music" TV channel Farhad Rahimli, AzTU graduate Ahmad Valiyev and AzTU student Alijan Aliyev performed musical numbers dedicated to the native language, including songs composed by composers that contain the spirit of patriotism. A video clip dedicated to the valuable ideas of the great leader Heydar Aliyev about the Azerbaijani language, as well as compositions prepared based on examples of poems about the native language performed by AzTU students, were demonstrated at the event.

Representatives from various companies within the Communication Technologies Cluster, operating under the OSTİM Organized Industrial Zone in Türkiye, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with AzTU's Rector Vilayət Vəliyev and other university representatives. Rector Vilayet Valiyev spoke about AzTU's collaboration with Türkiye's higher education institutions and companies. He emphasized the importance of applying Türkiye's experience in university-industry collaboration at AzTU. Ahmet Köse, Director of the "Bilim Baku" Center and official representative of "TEKNOFEST" in Azerbaijan, met with Vilayet Valiyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The '4th Networking Forum of Young Teachers,' organized by the Azerbaijan Young Teachers Association (AGMA), hosted productive discussions with the participation of more than 600 teachers. During the first plenary session, titled “Artificial Intelligence and Ethics: Issues of Integrity and Privacy in Education,” Etibar Seyidzade, Director of the Institute for Information Technologies and Methodological Support in Education at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), delivered a speech. He discussed topics such as artificial intelligence and academic integrity, data privacy, the application of AI in education, and fairness in the education system. Additionally, he highlighted both the benefits and potential risks of integrating artificial intelligence into education.

The Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union Republican Committee (ATİAHİRK), a member organization of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (AHİK), has awarded named scholarships to 100 students who actively participate in education and the student trade union movement.
