Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) məzunu şəhid Nəriman Həmidovun xatirə gecəsi keçirilib. Tədbirdə Nəriman Həmidovun ailə üzvləri, döyüş yoldaşları, şəhid ailələri, müharibə veteranları, AzTU-nun tələbə və müəllimləri iştirak edib. Əvvəlcə torpaqlarımızın ərazi bütövlüyü və suverenliyi uğrunda canlarından keçən Vətən övladlarının xatirəsi bir dəqiqəlik sükutla yad olunub. Azərbaycanın Dövlət Himni səsləndirilib. Tədbirdə çıxış edən AzTU-nun sosial məsələlər və ictimaiyyətlə əlaqələr üzrə prorektoru Nərmin Rzayeva universitetdə şəhid məzunların xatirəsinin hər zaman yad olunduğunu bildirib. Daha sonra çıxış edən şəhidin bacısı Səkinə Həmidova, döyüş yoldaşları və yaxınları onun haqqında xatirələrini bölüşüb, keçdiyi şərəfli ömür yolundan və döyüşlərdəki qəhrəmanlıqlarından danışıblar. Tədbirdə şəhid Nəriman Həmidov adına 208 nömrəli orta məktəbin şagirdlərinin hazırladıqları kompozisiya təqdim olunub. Qeyd edək ki, Nəriman Həmidov 1971-ci ildə Azərbaycan Politexnik İnstitutunun (indiki AzTU) metallurgiya ixtisasını bitirib. 1973-cü ildə könüllü olaraq birinci Qarabağ müharibəsində iştirak edib və ağır döyüşlər zamanı şəhidlik zirvəsinə yüksəlib. AzTU-da Metallurgiya və materialşünaslıq fakültəsinin auditoriyalarından birinə onun adı verilib.

A tournament dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, organized with the support of the YAP Yasamal District Organization, has concluded. The tournament featured competitions in various sports, such as chess, checkers, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and futsal. The Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) team excelled in several events, winning 1st place in basketball and table tennis, and 2nd place in checkers, chess, and futsal. The AzTU Sports Club's futsal team secured 3rd place in the Azerbaijan Student Football League Public Union's Student League Championship.

The Judo Azerbaijan Championship for students has concluded. Nearly 100 students from various higher education institutions participated in the competition, organized with technical support form the Azerbaijan Judo Federation. According to the results of the championship, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) secured 3rd place in the team standings. The AzTU team won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

The Center for Innovative Economic Research at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held a briefing. In the briefing, the head of the center, Professor Elshad Mammadov informed journalists about the recent developments in the economic sector over the past month. He particularly discussed the localization of manufacturing processes, expansion of regional technological cooperation, a sharp increase in direct investments (capital expenditures) in the national economy, a fundamental shift in the country's monetary and credit policy toward investment growth, the increasing share of innovative projects in the national economy, the formation of regional sales markets to enhance the efficiency and profitability of production processes, and the deepening of fiscal mechanisms to stimulate domestic production in the country. These reports were shared with the journalists. The journalists’s questions were answered at the end of the briefing.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetində (AzTU) ənənəvi olaraq Alman Mədəniyyət Günü keçirilib.  Tədbirdə AzTU-nun beynəlxalq əlaqələr üzrə prorektoru Fariz Məmmədov və universitetdə alman dili müəllimi kimi fəaliyyət göstərən Klaudio Kasperl açılış nitqi ilə çıxış ediblər. AzTU-DAAD əməkdaşlığının perspektivi və burada alman dilinin təşviqi ilə bağlı görülən işlər haqqında ətraflı məlumat verilib. Daha sonra AzTU-nun alman dili qruplarında təhsil alan tələbələri Almaniyanın milli adətləri, şəhərləri və texniki universitetləri barədə təqdimatla çıxış ediblər. Həmçinin alman dilində mahnı və şeirlər səsləndirilib, rəqslər təqdim olunub. Tədbir çərçivəsində AzTU-nun foyesində alman mətbəxinə məxsus təamlar nümayiş etdirilib. Sonda iştirakçılar Almaniya istehsalı olan “Almaniyaya xoş gəlmisiniz” filmini izləyiblər.

The Head of the Research and Development Department, Bakhtiyar Badalov and Senior Specialist of the Finance Department at the Financial and Supply Department of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Fidan Gurbanova participated in the International Week organized by Dumlupınar University in Kutahya, Turkey, within the framework of the "Erasmus+" exchange program. The event, attended by over 80 representatives from higher education institutions across more than 25 countries, featured presentations from participating universities. Topics such as writing projects in the fields of teaching and research, international collaborations, and education and experience exchange were discussed during the event.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Maşın dizaynı və sənaye texnologiyaları kafedrasının professoru Bəyalı Əhmədov “Erasmus+” mübadilə proqramı çərçivəsində Türkiyənin Bartın Universitetində akademik heyət üçün nəzərdə tutulmuş bir həftəlik mobillikdə iştirak edib. Bəyalı Əhmədov Bartın Universitetinin Maşın mühəndisliyi kafedrasının əməkdaşlarına seminar keçib, həmçinin bu ali təhsil müəssisəsinin tələbələrinə mühazirə deyib. Səfər çərçivəsində professor Bəyalı Əhmədov Bartın Universitetinin rektoru professor Orhan Uzunla görüşüb. Görüşdə hər iki universitetin gələcək əməkdaşlıq imkanları barədə fikir mübadiləsi aparılıb.

Within the framework of the ECAR project, aimed at enhancing research skills, training sessions on "Rules for Writing Scientific Papers" and "Research Methods" were conducted. The training was organized as part of the "Creation of the Conference of Rectors in Azerbaijan" (ECAR) project, implemented under the "Erasmus+ KA2" program, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner. Professor Gulahmad Talibov from the Department of Chemical Technology, Recycling, and Ecology, Lecturer Qizilgul Israfilova from the Department of Radiotechnics and Telecommunications, Lecturer Kamran Huseynov from the Department of Cybersecurity, and Lecturer Shamkhal Aliyev from the Department of Electrical Engineering represented AzTU at the training. Participants were provided with theoretical knowledge and practical tasks on topics including scientometric databases, their working principles, useful tools for researchers, how to use these tools, standards for writing articles, journal selection, methods for improving research indicators, research design and planning, ethical principles, formulating research questions, data analysis, and writing reports, during the two-day training.

Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has prepared an urban mobility plan for 16 cities, including Shirvan, Mingachevir, Lankaran, Yevlax, Sheki, Naftalan, Shamkir, Quba, Tovuz, Qusar, Bilasuvar, Masalli, Khachmaz, Goygol, Goychay, and Agjabedi, and organized a final discussion on the plan. A roundtable discussion was held with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, Baku Metro CJSC, Surakhani District Executive Authority, Yasamal District Executive Authority, Azerbaijan State Automobile Roads Agency, Azerbaijan Surface Transport Agency, and relevant companies. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev highlighted the economic, social, and environmental contributions of preparing the mobility plan and emphasized the key results derived from the project. He noted that the main outcomes include the creation of a discussion platform involving government, industry, universities, and the public. Additionally, a team of experts made up of students and faculty members who worked on the mobility program, as well as the development of infrastructure, were formed as part of the project. He also stressed that the plan is an important contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in preparation for COP29 to be held in Baku. Fuad Dashdemirov, the director of AzTU’s Institute of Logistics and Transport, had a presentation covering all stages of the development of the urban mobility plan. He emphasized that the plan's preparation, supported by the state and based on the country's science and education potential, is a significant step forward. He explained that the research conducted for the project involved a robust methodology and the development of a computational package and technologies. As a result, AzTU's faculty and students were actively involved in the preparation of the plan, with many dissertation topics dedicated to solving the problems arising from the project. Consequently, fundamental scientific foundations have been established for further work in this area both in Azerbaijan and internationally. The roundtable participants discussed the results of the project in detail and emphasized that the urban mobility program had been prepared with high professionalism, emphasized the importance of publishing the results.

Fərid Hüseynli Türkiyənin Bursa Texniki Universitetinin Mexanika kafedrasının fəalliyəti ilə yaxından tanış olub və akademik heyətlə görüşüb. O həmçinin laboratoriyalar və kitabxanalarda aparılan tədqiqat işləri ilə tanış olub, mexanika mühəndisliyi ixtisasının fənləri üzrə tədris prosesində iştirak edib. Bununla yanaşı, Fərid Hüseynli mexanika mühəndisliyi ixtisası üzrə təhsil alan tələbələrə "Tribologiya" mövzusunda mühazirə deyib.
