The first progress conference of the "Strengthening the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions" (ENGAGE) project, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, was held. The conference brought together representatives from partner universities in Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Poland, and over 20 Azerbaijani higher education institutions.
AzTU was represented at the conference by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Nurali Yusifbeyli, Head of the International Relations Department Orkhan Vatankhah, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Fargana Musayeva, and Director of the University-Industry Collaboration and Lifelong Learning Center Aynura Ismayilova.
The event, titled "Report Conference on Research Conducted on the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions," included an overview of the ENGAGE project, its action plan, research goals and methodology. Additionally, the outcomes of various visits conducted by partner universities as part of the project were shared, including the comparative analysis of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, results from the survey on "Entrepreneurship Needs in Azerbaijani Higher Education," and more.
The second day of the conference featured presentations by European partner universities on topics such as "Integration of Entrepreneurship into Higher Education Strategy," "Entrepreneurship in Post-Soviet Poland and Estonia," "Development of Entrepreneurship Curricula: Best Practices from Europe," and "Commercialization of Innovations: The Third Mission of Universities in Entrepreneurial Activities." These discussions were followed by panel discussions where experts shared their insights and experiences.
