The "AzTU6" team from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has secured a spot in the semifinals of the 49th ICPC - International Collegiate Programming Contest. The team will compete in the semifinals of the 49th ICPC, which will be held in Georgia from December 13-15, 2024. They will also participate in the South Caucasus Open Championship, both in team and individual categories.
It is worth mentioning that a total of 174 teams from 23 higher education institutions participated in the competition. In the round of 16, AzTU's "AzTU6" and "AzTU2" teams advanced to the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals, featuring 51 teams from 22 higher education institutions, each consisting of three students and one leader, saw the "AzTU6" team officially secure a spot in the semifinals.
AzTU was represented by 15 teams in the competition, under the leadership of Vugar Huseynli, a staff member of the SmartTech Innovators Center and Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence, Kenan Asgarli, also a staff member of the SmartTech Innovators Center, and Aytan Sadıgova, Dean of the AzTU SABAH Groups.
