Today, the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held a Knowledge Day event.
First, flowers were laid in front of the bust of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in the university lobby. Then, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and the National Anthem was played.
AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev congratulated the newly admitted students and wished them success in their educational lives and activities. The Rector noted that this year, 1887 students were admitted to AzTU for bachelor's degrees and 1604 for master's degrees. Vilayat Valiyev also provided information about AzTU's educational environment, the conditions created for students, social life and job opportunities. Then, an award ceremony was held for 14 students who scored more than 600 points in the entrance exam. Fatima Fattayeva (Faculty of Information Technologies and Telecommunications, 646.8 points), who was admitted to AzTU with the highest score, made a speech and thanked everyone who contributed to her success and said that her main goal at AzTU is to grow as a professional in her specialty and to benefit the Motherland.
