A presentation of the "CUBESAT" nano-satellite prototype, developed at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), was held with the participation of representatives from Azərkosmos, the Ministry of Defense Industry, the National Aerospace Agency, and the National Defense University.

Professor Mehman Hasanov, head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Telecommunications at AzTU and the project leader, gave an extensive presentation on the development of the project. He stated that this project is a first for Azerbaijan and is a functional model of a nano-satellite. He emphasized that the project will play a significant role in the creation of satellites operating in low Earth orbit. The development of the nano-satellite involved the use of AzTU's patented first 3D optical switch.

Following the presentation, Nadir Atayev, a doctoral student at AzTU and one of the main executors of the project, provided detailed information about the prototype and its technical specifications.
