Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), in collaboration with representatives from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, and the Department of Education System Informatization under the Ministry of Science and Education, has introduced a groundbreaking change regarding student registration. Starting this year, AzTU will no longer require paper-based documents from students admitted to the university (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs).
All documents will be processed exclusively through the Ministry of Science and Education’s portal, portal.edu.az.
Previously, while the registration process for higher education institutions was conducted through the portal.edu.az platform, universities still required paper-based documents from students in parallel. However, AzTU’s leadership decided to implement this innovation in order to save students time, reduce additional costs, minimize paper waste, and contribute to the country's ongoing digital transformation efforts. The goal is to enhance student convenience and support the development of a more sustainable and efficient system.
