The delegation led by the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev is on a official visit to Finland.

During the visit, the meetings held at the “ABB” company, as well as the Finnish universities of Vaasa and Tampere, exchanged views on cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, energy systems and smart manufacturing.

As a result of the discussions with the “ABB” company, an agreement was reached on the establishment of a joint research-oriented Smart Energy Network as a pilot project at AzTU.

During the discussions with Finnish universities, cooperation opportunities in the field of joint education, research, academic exchange, and the application of the university-industry cooperation model in accordance with real industrial needs were discussed.

It should be noted that the AzTU delegation was represented by the Director of the Institute of Higher Education, Aynura Ismayilova, and the Acting Director of the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development, Nijat Huseynov.
