AzTU teams qualified for the Azerbaijan regional stage of the international programming competition

The qualification stage of the “50th ICPC – Inter-University International Programming Competition” for Azerbaijan was held. The competition was organized by the ICPC Azerbaijan Community, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and ADA University, in partnership with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

The qualification stage was organized on the technical base of AzTU, ADA University, Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan-French University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Baku State University, Khazar University, Lankaran State University, Karabakh University and Nakhchivan State University.

157 teams (each consisting of three students and one team leader) from 22 higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, as well as 3 teams of schoolchildren outside the competition, participated in the competition.

The teams were tasked with solving 14 algorithmic problems in C++, Java or Python programming languages ​​within 5 hours and testing these solutions in an automatic evaluation system.

According to the results of the competition, 4 AzTU teams (63 teams in total) have qualified for the regional stage of the “50th ICPC – International Interuniversity Programming Competition” in Azerbaijan, which will be held on November 15, 2025.

The teams that successfully complete the regional stage will have the right to participate in the semi-final stage of the “50th ICPC – International Interuniversity Programming Competition” and the South Caucasus Open Championship (in team and individual categories), which will be held in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, on December 15–17, 2025.
