A delegation led by Eduard Yakubov, President of the Holon Institute of Technology (HIT), Israel, who visited Azerbaijan, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The guests met with AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev and representatives of the university.

Welcoming the guests, Rector Vilayat Valiyev expressed his satisfaction with seeing them at AzTU. The Rector informed the guests about the work done at the university, the educational programs implemented, cooperation with Israeli higher education institutions, as well as AzTU's future goals in the field of science and research.

HIT President Eduard Yakubov provided extensive information about the higher education institution he represents. He noted that HIT was one of the first higher education institutions in Israel in the field of engineering. He said that Israeli higher education institutions are interested in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijani higher education institutions in the field of education and research.

During the meeting, AzTU and HIT representatives discussed the mutual exchange of students and academic staff, joint scientific research, and opportunities for dual diploma programs.

Finally, an agreement on cooperation between the universities was signed.
