In order to train young engineers in line with the demands of the labor market, technical universities, including Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), are launching new projects. Since 2022, AzTU has started a close collaboration with Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) to develop practical skills for young people. As part of this cooperation, Nijat Bakirli, an expert from the Defense Industry Institute at AzTU, Malik Aliyev, the head expert of the Social Development Center and assistant at the Radioelectronics and Aerospace Systems Department, Bibixanım Jabbarli, a doctoral candidate (part-time) in Device Manufacturing Technology (3311.01) and Meraj Abasquliyev, a first-year master’s student in Mechanical Engineering, participated in the “SKY Global Internship” Exchange Program, which took place from May 2-26, 2023. The program also saw the participation of a 6-person delegation from the National Aviation Academy (NAA), including faculty and students, as part of AzTU’s initiative to integrate modern practices and increase mutual opportunities.
It is important to note that, according to the mutual agreement with TUSAŞ, 20 spots are allocated for AzTU students in the internship programs. The coordination of student selection and requirements for this initiative is managed by AzTU’s University-Industry Cooperation and Lifelong Learning Center.
