A delegation from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), led by Rector Professor Vilayat Valiyev, made an official visit to Turkey. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the Sustainable Development Congress organized by Times Higher Education, as well as to establish and deepen cooperation in scientific research, education, and innovation, and to discuss mutual collaboration opportunities with leading Turkish universities.
The AzTU delegation included Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Professor Subhan Namazov, Director of the Research and Development Department, Bakhtiyar Badalov, and Head of the Quality Assurance Department, Parvana Movsumova.
During the visit, the delegation held official meetings at prominent Turkish higher education institutions, including Bahçeşehir University and Gebze Technical University. The parties discussed collaboration prospects, particularly in engineering, information technology, artificial intelligence, digital marketing, and innovation fields.
At the meetings, AzTU Rector Professor Vilayat Valiyev emphasized the university’s focus on joint scientific projects, joint educational programs, student and faculty exchanges, and activities aimed at advancing international rankings in line with AzTU’s international partnership strategy.
The parties highlighted the importance of experience and knowledge exchange regarding the application of modern teaching technologies in engineering, conducting joint research, improving ranking indicators, implementing Mini MBA programs, using artificial intelligence in teaching and research, and developing joint projects in digital technologies and innovation.
As a result of this visit, significant steps were taken to further expand AzTU’s international scientific collaboration network and integrate the university into global scientific and educational platforms. The meetings laid a strong foundation for partnerships that will positively impact AzTU’s strategic development goals and its position in international rankings.
This visit, initiated by AzTU leadership, is regarded as a continuation of successful international activities aimed at enhancing the university’s reputation in the global science and education arena.
