AzTU, MAA and TUSAŞ launched a special program for the training of new generation engineers

18.09.2023     2143     AzTU

The implementation of a special program for training a new generation of engineers was launched at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev, advisor to the minister of defense industry Rovshan Ahmadov, the first vice-rector of the National Aviation Academy (MAA) Adalat Samadov, the program manager of the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry Company (TUSAS) Görkem Şimşek and the leaders of both universities took part in the meeting.

It was noted that the program called "AzTU-Turkish Aerospace, MGP 2023.1" is implemented on the basis of the special training program of TUSAŞ, which has rich experience and resources in this field.

The main stage in the preparation of the program, which is based on the project-based open competition learning-teaching model, began with AzTU joining the CDIO family of universities in 2022. Covering design, simulation, prototyping and manufacturing chain links, the program is implemented in structural design, structural analysis, flight sciences, and avionics/programming areas. Structural design and analysis directions cover the main part of the sections (60%). It should be noted that the mentioned direction is consistent with the high-quality teaching of CAD/CAE/CAM software in engineering universities.

Under the coordination of AzTU's Center for University-Industry Cooperation and Lifelong Education, the basic studies include aerospace engineering, information technology, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical-electronics, communication (radioelectronics), metallurgy, etc. candidates with orientations participate.

At the end of the project, the participants will be presented with a certificate. 10 participants who successfully completed the program will be sent to practice at TUSAS and will be included in the instructional staff of the MGP program.
