The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, met with Shahmar Hajiyeva, Director of the Information Security Department of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), and other staff members of the agency.
The main purpose of the meeting was to identify new areas and forms of collaboration between AzTU and IDDA for the development of the cybersecurity ecosystem.
Speaking about the importance of university-industry cooperation, Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized that the joint activities of AzTU and the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (ACC), which operates under IDDA, in the field of cybersecurity are commendable and will contribute to enhancing the skills of students in this area.
It was noted that, as part of the collaboration, a joint roadmap would be developed between AzTU and ACC to address the existing shortage of professional personnel in the field of cybersecurity.
Additionally, the discussion covered topics such as providing cybersecurity training for AzTU faculty and students by ACC staff, as well as encouraging the creation of new startups in this field and establishing cyber clubs.
